Ponderosa Mountain Home ligger bara en kort promenad till skridskoåkning och isfiske på vintern, båtliv och fiske på sommaren. Det är också en kort promenad / kör till downtown Evergreen! Kom och njut av det här vackra området med gott om utomhusaktiviteter, fina restauranger och de största brew pubarna i världen. Enkel åtkomst till Red Rocks Amphitheater, tavernor och klubbar med lokala musiker, enastående dramatisk teater, även förstklassig opera och ballett. Utomhussporter är ojämförliga. För sommaren, gå bara utanför din dörr. Eller Mt. Evans Wilderness ligger bara en kort bilresa. Rocky Mountain National Park ligger två timmar bort på den natursköna Peak-to-Peak Highway. Vinter är ett underland, en dörröppning till världsklass skidåkning, snöskor och klättring. Ponderosa Mountain Home har 3 sovrum. Befälhavaren svit har en vardagsrum och queen size-säng med justerbar madrass. Det andra sovrummet har en full madrass, även justerbar. Det tredje sovrummet har en dag säng med en rulla. Välskötta hundar är mycket välkomna men när du är ute utomhus, använd en koppel. Det är att skydda ditt husdjur och det lokala vilda djuret, som verkligen är de främsta gästerna.

Home Away from Home

This is at least 6 times we have stayed at the Ponderosa and it never disappoints! Love seeing (from a distance) the wildlife…that’s always a treat! Always neat and tidy, clean, and our host is nearby to answer any questions! We have already booked this place this coming fall and will always consider this “our home away from home.”

10 days in Evergreen!

Darling, cozy cabin beautifully appointed and very comfortable! We own a design firm and we dont say that often! Ck in was easy, location is minutes to DT Evergreen, walking to the lake is minutes away. Bring your cozy slippers and enjoy!

Beautiful cabin in the woods and close to evergreen lake

The cabin has been beautifully renovated with modern kitchen and a modern small bathroom. Fully stocked kitchen with good dishes, pots, pans and spices. The bed was comfortable. Husband and I are 75 so we opted to use only the lower bedroom as the upstairs steps were a bit steep for us. The lake can be reached by foot or a short drive. We walked around the lake with our dog several days. The owner who is a delightful lady and her son were very responsive to the few questions we had. We had many elk and deer in the yard daily for our enjoyment. Would stay again if we come back to Evergreen.

Wonderful…We love the quaintness!!!

This is our 5th time staying at the Ponderosa!!! We love everything about this cozy cabin, it’s location, lake access, cleanliness, and watching our Premier Guests in surprising places! We always appreciate the hospitality and kindness of our host!! It goes without saying that we certainly will be returning to our home away from home.

Wonderful cabin in idyllic location

This was the second time we stayed at Ponderosa this year. We love the location being able to walk to the lake and downtown Evergreen. The cabin is well appointed and has everything one would need. The best part is sitting out on the deck and watching elk walk by.

Great little cabin near lake and downtown

We stayed at Ponderosa for a week and had a wonderful time. The location is very convenient to everything and you can easily walk down to the lake and downtown. The home is well equipped and very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again in the future.

Beautiful

It was an amazing place and absolutely gorgeous. We had deer in the yard everyday and herds of elk right within town! It was an easy access to the gorgeous lake. Everything we needed was in the cabin ready for us. It is cozy, quiet and not to mention the beds are so comfortable! 100would recommend!%

Awesome Cabin

The Ponderosa is awesome!! Clean, well stocked, located close to Evergreen lake and shops, and we cannot forget our Premier Guests…our precious wildlife! What a treat to see elk, deer, beavers and a rare glimpse of a coyote. This is our 4th visit to this cabin and we will always consider this our second home. The hosts are superb in every way.

Great location

Great location. Close to downtown Evergreen and many hiking trails. Not too far from denver to visit family. Deer commonly sat in yard. Property well taken care of. Was a great getaway for the month.

Awesome property

The pictures don’t do this place justice! A wonderful cabin with great amenities. You’re at the top of the hill and can walk down to the lake and then right into the picturesque town of Evergreen. Go enjoy the mountains and stay here - you’ll be glad you did!

We had a wonderful time!!

The cabin is everything they say it is. Very comfortable and supplied well in the kitchen. The area around the cabin is beautiful and there’s a nice deck to enjoy the outdoors. The owner is very available for emergency type things!! I hope we stay there next year on our trip!!

Stay at the Ponderosa

My stay was excellent and everything was clean and tidy. It had everything I needed. The cabin was fantastic, the location great and the Elk and deer walking by every morning was a bonus. Would recommend it for any in wanting to stay in the mountains. The host Spike was the best. Always there with a immediate response to my questions.

Beautiful mountain getaway

Situated in the small quiet town of Evergreen with plenty of outdoor activities to keep everyone engaged. Our family of 6 enjoyed hiking at the nearby 6 sisters trails, paddle boarding at Evergreen lake and horseback riding nearby. We sampled the local restaurants and enjoyed the frequent sightings of Elk nearby. The Ponderosa met all our family's expectations and more! Thank you Spike and hope to return soon!

Staying at the Ponderosa House was a great way to start the New Year. It was clean, cozy, and complete. Spike was a wonderful host. Evergreen is an ideal location to several places, including ski resorts. The wildlife (deer) was always a pleasure to see in the mornings. Thank you!

Great getaway close to Denver!

Loved this cabin, it was so well appointed and decorated so nicely! We got to experience both sunny warm weather and snow while there and it was perfect. The fireplace was wonderful and we loved the crank out windows to let some of the cool refreshing mountain air in during the evenings. There is a large smart TV in the living area that was actually really great whenever we got snowed in for a bit. Great location that you feel like you are away from it all up in the mountains, but still easy access to Denver/Golden/Boulder etc. Spike was great to work with and provided great information and helpful recommendations!

Mountain Cabin Extraordinaire

The Ponderosa is everything anyone could want in a mountain cabin getaway! Clean, cozy, comfortable, full of amenities, and an ideal location in Evergreen. Early one morning looking through the windows, we counted over 70 elk passing through the yard....what an awesome experience! Spike is a super host! His attention to details and thoughtfulness was much appreciated. We highly recommend staying at the Ponderosa, and look forward to returning on one of our next trips to Colorado.

We Loved the Ponderosa Mountain Home

Ponderosa Mountain Home is beautiful. Spotless with an airy modern kitchen, rooms are comfortable and spacious, charming, and outfitted with every amenity. The cabin is ideally located and served as home-base for day trips to Vail and Golden. We appreciated the proximity to Red Rocks - the night drive after a concert was definitely exhilarating along Upper Bear Creek Road. There are countless things to do in Evergreen and nearby Golden. On the few rainy days we had during our stay, the cabin had games, a large flatscreen to watch movies, and covered areas of the wraparound porch from which to view the passing elk. We appreciated Spike’s super quick friendly responses to our questions and can’t wait until our next stay!

Comfortable & serene

We enjoyed our stay. The home is comfortable and was well equipped for our month long stay. Much nicer than average. We noticed that one item hadn’t been replenished for an extended visit and it was delivered promptly. The neighborhood is quiet but the home is near the town, which is charming. My husband and I were easily able to secure daily admission to the beautiful local rec center. Be aware this home may not be suitable for the elderly or disabled, or even young children as the stairs going up to the two bedrooms upstairs are quite steep and there is no upstairs bath. Otherwise, I highly recommend this property.

Loved Colorado and staying with Spike!

Spike has done a masterful job of transforming this cabin. He has created a warm and welcoming space that is impeccably appointed. From the light filled rooms to the comfy adjustable beds, gas fireplace and beautiful leather sofa and chairs in the LR, he doesn't miss a beat! As a host, Spike was very approachable and answered our many questions about the area prior to our arrival including an email to let us know the elk were rutting in the yard. I was excited! The town of Evergreen and its lovely lake are a stones throw away from the cabin as is lots of hiking (for convenience, we recommend 3 Sisters Park). Our travel was centered around a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater which was an incredible experience. Even in the daylight RRs is a remarkable place teeming with folks of all ages and bountiful energy. (Thanks Spike for recommending we taking the back way through the canyon instead of the highway). Mid-week, we met a few deer early one morning while enjoying tea outside on the patio as they munched on those lovely wildflowers. Later in the week, we were visited by 4 elk who chose a sunny spot on the front lawn and hung out for an hour or better. Seeing them, a neighbor driving by shouted to them, "Hi girls!" which we though was hilarious. I had hoped to see some wildlife while visiting Colorado and I wasn't disappointed when 17 elk came up from the back woods of the property to the salt lick and meandered around the side yard the day we were heading home. You could have almost reached out and touched them! Such beauty! You won't be disappointed staying with Spike and his animal family!

Great Location

My family and I stayed for a week over spring break. We love Evergreen and have been many times. This cabin was in walking distance to the lake which we enjoyed walking around. We went skiing two days at Loveland and we felt the drive was close enenough. verdoable

February One Month Stay

The Ponderosa House was a quiet, comfortable haven to call home for the month. Enjoyed being so close to downtown Evergreen, trail walks and Evergreen Lake. The porch was a treat to warm in the sun or watch the frequent herd of deer in the yard. Our hosts were readily available. So thankful we chose Ponderosa House for our stay.

Evergreen Home

Amazing home in great neighborhood. Close to downtown restaurants and shopping. The home interior is very warm and inviting. The gas stone fireplace brings a cozy feeling to the house. Kitchen is large and well stocked. It snowed 18” while we were there. We hiked nearby trails in the snow and then came back to relax by the fire. Would definitely rent again.
