Property was very clean, which is my number one concern. My only complaint is the quality of towels and linens. The towels are getting shabby and the bedsheets are poor quality/cheap fabrics. But it is a very nice home with a quiet but very convenient location.

Great place in great neighborhood

Second time staying at this house - walking neighborhood down to the beach and well cared for house. Easy to get in and out and modern house with all that you need for a stay.

Good home met our needs

Nice location, in walking distance to beach for sunsets, close driving to many other fun experiences in area. Big master bathroom but shower stall small. Good kitchen size with all utensils/appliances/cookware needed.

Empire MI - Salisbury House

The town of Empire was centrally located for the activities we did. The house was spacious, clean, modern, very comfortable and homey. The kitchen was well stocked making cooking in easy since there were few restaurants nearby. The two car garage allowed great space for keeping all our outdoor toys safe. Would rent again

Wonderful experience

Our family had a wonderful stay at The Salisbury House! It was clean, had everything we needed and was exactly as advertised. This has not always been the case with some of our prior rentals, so we very much appreciated it this time. I would highly recommend the property to everyone looking to stay in the area and would not hesitate to stay again.

Loved our vacay

The house was perfect for my family of six. It was clean, cozy, comfortable, and a central location to visit multiple beaches, towns, and hikes. We enjoyed kayaking and splurged at Blu (Glen Arbor), as we spent our 25th wedding that week. We all enjoyed our vacation.

Family Vacation

Centralized location and walking distance to local shops and the beach. The house was beautiful, clean and came with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Spacious back deck and yard for our kids to play. There is also a park right across the street. Plenty of space for our family of 5. We will be returning! Also, the management of the house was friendly, easy to reach and great to work with!

Great stay in Empire

All aspects of the trip were excellent. From reserving and planning, arrival/check in, to the convenience of location and check out. We couldn't have been happier. The houses amenities more than satisfied our needs, the location couldn't have been easier with the short walk to the beach and a playground next door. Check in and check out was smooth and instructions clear. It definitely made our vacation stress free and consider the same place next year.

Out of three bed rooms, two beds need to be changed. They are bad and need to be replaced. Otherwise, location is great and host is good.

Beautiful, relaxing, convenient

Our family spent a wonderful 6 days at the Empire house. There were 5 adults from age 73 to age 22 and we were all very comfortable. The house is extremely clean and very well equipped, the beds were great, linens nice, kitchen good, plus it’s walking distance to 2 beaches and to the lovely village of Empire. It’s a short drive to Sleeping Bear National Park with more beaches, bike paths, hiking, and history. Glen Arbor is convenient. We’ll be back!

Sleeping Bear Dunes

Location was great, close to the visitors center and the Grocers Daughter. The house was perfect for our group of 6 having 3 bedrooms. Kitchen was very nice. We had problems figuring out the lighting over the dining table. Nice deck but no shade. It would be nice to let people know there were pickleball courts as some of us are avid players.

Family get away

Took the family, 2 adults and 4 kids to this area for a few days away. The house was clean and orderly. Everything that was described on the vrbo website was accurate and available. Our favorite part of the stay was the short walk to Empire beach. We spent almost every night there swimming in Lake Michigan and playing on the play ground. You do have to get there early to claim a fire pit FYI. Another side note, make sure to bring groceries or stop on the way. There is a BP with a mini mart on the corner about 3 blocks away but you won’t get everything you need there. We hit up a Toms on the way. There is a market about 13 min north in Glen Arbor as well. Overall this was a great experience! Close to river tubing, dune climbing, trail hiking, and beaches. We will be back!

Family Vacation

Family getaway trip to SB Dunes area. Amazing area, house suited us just fine. Well kept, nicely equipped and would stay here again. The only reason I am knocking this down, when we arrived the house was dirty and had not been cleaned/flipped ready for arrival. I called the Manager and she quickly came out to clean the property. Delay ~ 3 hrs. from the original 4pm check-in. In the future (if same Manager/company....I would call ahead and double check that someone had cleaned it/proof).

Empire stay

Six of us adults stayed at this place in Empire, and here are our thoughts-- Pros- The location was great, walking distance to Lake Michigan and a short drive to the sleeping bear dunes. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. The host was quick to respond and answer all questions Cons - there is a fee for background check/insurance the property tacks on that is non negotiable. You have to sign a rental agreement and the communication from there is outside the app via email prior to check-in. This information isn't shared with you until after booking (unless I missed it somewhere) so I figured I would inform future guests Additionally, the cleaning fee is higher than most, yet you're asked to do everything except sweep and mop (but if you do use the vacuum, there are rules for that as well),&there's a additional fee if any dishes are left. I am totally fine with starting the dishwasher before leaving a place and taking linens off beds, but you're asked to wash and dry all dishes and put them away to avoid a fee, wash and dry at least one load of laundry, bring all the towels and linens to the laundry room, take out the trash and bring the bin to the end of the driveway. Just seems a little excessive especially since we're already paying for a cleaner. Lastly, the beds were not the most comfortable, pretty squeaky main bed. They were fine for a night or two Overall it was a nice place to stay, just a lot of extra cleaning on the guests end for something we already paid for
