Njut av din tillflyktsort pÄ den hÀr vackra lakeside loggen hemma i West Augusta. njut av den privata miljö omgiven av en 900 + hektar stor gÄrd som backar upp till George Washington National Forest. Massor av vandrings- / vandringsleder, flera dammar för fÄnga och slÀppa fiske och olika djurlivsmöjligheter.

Ligger en kort bilresa frÄn Historic Staunton eller vackra Highland County.

Den anpassade byggnaden hem funktioner och öppet vardagsrum, matsal och kök pÄ bottenvÄningen samt sovrummet med king size-sÀng och bad. PÄ övervÄningen finns ett sovrum med queen size-sÀng, badrum och loft med enkelsÀng med utsikt över vardagsrummet. Den fÀrdiga walk-out kÀllaren har ett annat sovrum med tvÄ enkelsÀngar, badrum med tvÀttmaskin och torktumlare och en en bil garage.

Huset har ett dÀck omslag pÄ 3/4 av huset dÀr du kan koppla av och njuta av utsikten över bergen, sjön och golfomrÄdet.

My family was in the area for a Bridgewater College football game. The cabin was the perfect distance from the school, absolutely beautiful location, quiet and cozy. The kitchen was stocked with a lot of the things we needed for cooking. The living space was cozy and the gas fireplace kept it warm on the chilly nights. We got to meet one of the property pigs, which was super cool. We will definitely stay here again!

What a beautuful property. The house is spacious and the view incredible. We appreciated the well-appointed kitchen and nightime stars. The porch pig was a fan favorite. Would definitely come back.

We came for the fishing and weren't disappointed

What an absolutely beautiful property! Caught fish in the lake and ponds. Saw eagles at the pond by the pavilion and lots of deer. The pig was a big highlight! The whole group seemed pretty content just sitting on the porch and soaking up the mountain views. Thank you again for sharing your beautiful home with us, everyone really enjoyed themselves!!

Poor communication

VRBO listing was misleading. Owner listed property as having Wifi in the house. I took a screenshot to show my friend whom I was booking the cabin with. In fact, I had filtered my search to show only those properties that had Wi-Fi. That’s how I found this listing. When we checked in, we contacted the host asking for the Wii password. The host said there is no WiFi, it’s for the hosts’ residence only. We had no choice but to stay there, and had to go to a local grocery 4+ miles away to check emails. There were no other listings nearby and it would have been the cancellation of our vacation if we did not stay there. We were not happy at all. Tried messaging host a few more times and was ignored. Do not recommend this listing. Beautiful location, deceitful host who does not communicate at all! We left early.

Will miss the pig!

Absolutely wonderful property and location that was so relaxing and fun for a weekend with friends. It's a well-equipped and well-maintained cabin that is cut off from the internet (much-needed amenity). The lake is amazing with great boats. Overall, no complaints, although a pier/floating dock would've been sick! Wish we could've stayed another night.

Peace and quiet

Beautiful and relaxing cabin on a hill overlooking a valley. Clean and quiet. The kids loved being greeted by a friendly pig. We also caught some fish in the lake.Definitely recommended.

Simply Wonderful!

We chose to stay here for a family getaway to relax, hike, and see some fall foliage. It was perfect! Very quiet and truly unplugged. The lodging was top notch and very comfortable; It was a very spacious/accommodating cabin with that rustic feel we were hoping for but with all of the modern day amenities. There wasn’t anything we needed that wasn’t already provided. Our children loved running around the farm and seeing all of the animals
 a bald eagle, turkey vultures, cattle, deer, working dogs, and even one very cute pig who enjoyed some petting and some food scraps (apparently he was in a tiff with the other pig and retreated largely to our part of the farm lol). All whilst the grandparents enjoyed rocking on the porch with the most amazing view of the mountains or sitting by the fireplace. We were even lucky enough to get a bit of rain and see a rainbow appear right over the pond. The farm is vast and beautiful with plenty to see and do. Luke was very hospitable and introduced himself after happening upon us during a walk. He pointed out good places to visit on the farm and even gave us a short tour. We felt very safe our entire stay. The working dogs were out on the farm and on the job! It was actually quite cool to hear them baying far off in the distance. Definitely would go back. It’s been my husband’s favorite family trip so far.

Great getaway!

Views are amazing! My wife and I loved our stay and had a great time with all the hiking trails close by. Tons of wildlife all around! We really enjoyed eagle watching and the domestic residents as well. Especially the two pigs my wife wanted to take home with us. Cabin is very private and had everything we needed during our stay. Expansive grounds to explore on the property.

A Rural Paradise

Words cannot describe how beautiful the views from the cabin are. You can spend the entire day exploring the beautiful property and fishing or just staying in enjoying the spacious property. The hosts couldn’t be more welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend, especially factoring in how great the price was.

We are Luke and Leslie Hewitt. Luke and I were married on this property in 2011 on Star Hill. My father bought the first piece of this property in 1993, and was able to add to it over the years. Luke and I started living out here in 2011, and became full owners in 2016. We have three children: Hunter, 17; Lauren, 14; and Charlotte, 8. We love this beautiful, peaceful spot in the Shenandoah Valley. Luke is an avid hunter and fisherman and has wonderful access to both right here. This is where we've chosen to build our life and raise our family.
