Our favorite place

We’ve been visiting since 2020. I think this is our 4th stay. It’s close to what we need, cozy, clean, and the owners are the best! Our second time bringing our boat. We look forward to next time and couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else.

Great time at Paw Paw John‘s Hoi Toider!

Our stay was perfect! Leading up to the trip, Chris was amazing with communication. He answered all our questions and emailed us a Welcomed Book before our arrival, which ensured our check in & stay were seamless. The house was clean and well laid out! The huge porches on this house are what make it! We sat on the front porch & ate meals with the sound of the ocean in the background. The breeze from the porches was fantastic. This was our first stay on Harkers Island and we can’t wait to come back and stay at The Hoi Toider again! While we were there, we spent time in Beaufort & Morehead City. We’d booked an off shore charter out of Atlantic Beach, that’s what brought us to the area this time- the property was convenient to all of these locations. The beach on the sound at Harker’s Island is adorable and perfect for small kids since there are no big waves!!Perfect getaway! We feel lucky to have found this property!

Everything You Need

This rental is just right. Very homey, well stocked, room to spread out, and great porches. This was our second stay and we enjoyed it just as much as the first. Great location on the island.

Our second visit to this property

Half of our group of 8 fishermen stayed at this property for the second time. It is, clean, roomy and has all the amenities one would expect except a dishwasher. The property is large with lots of room for parking and is in a quiet neighborhood which is located near where we needed to meet our fishing guides each morning. The owners kept in contact during our stay and are easy to work with.

Great Stay on Harkers Island

Great, clean, comfortable home perfect for small to medium size families. This is a quiet out of the way place to stay away from some of the busy beach towns, but with quick access to Cape Lookout and within half an hour of some other great towns along the coast. Not sure why a hot tub is listed as we did not see one anywhere on the property.

Fishing Fun is Family Fun

Totally the best house/boat storage for our needs on the island. Friendly neighbor to make ya fill right at home as well. Always our first fishing trip of each year and love this area.

Had a wonderful week and you have a very nice rental. I’m very hesitant to let everyone know how nice the Hoi Toider is because everyone will rent it and take away the weeks I need for myself.

Great family vacation

The location and house was wonderful. Chris was great to deal with and very helpful. The house is located in quiet area but close to ferries and a quick ride to shops. Nice clean house. Will definitely love to go back soon.

Great Fishing Retreat

This is the second year we’ve spent a week at the Hoi Toider. Very convenient to the Cape Point Marina and wildlife access. There is plenty of parking and room for boats. The house is very comfortable and has two great screened in Porches. We plan to be back next year!

Beautiful home!

This was our second summer staying at this house and we loved it just as much as the first time. It feels like home to us. Chris was easy to get ahold of and checked on us periodically through the week. We will definitely be back again and again.
