Nice house, poorly maintained

Even though we confirmed our arrival time, upon our arrival we were asked to come back in a couple of hours. The team was very responsive but there were two many issues for them to keep up. We found lamps not plugged in, one light bulb missing, batteries missing from AC and TV remotes, door handles that come off, front door not usable and that was just the start. Once we used the washing machine we had floods in the kitchen and downstairs bathroom. A plumber came the next day and removed the toilet for 24 hours. In summary, this house has potential but not until the owner lives in it for a few weeks. Naturally we asked for a rebate and got 200 back which didn’t come close to making up for the aggravation and time we spent NOT enjoying vacation.

Girls weekend

The villa was lovely, clean and well equipped. My only negative would be the garden and pool need some TLC. Remove the dead hanging plants and pot plants. Better to have nothing than keep looking a dead plants. The pool does need some attention. Our host was excellent. nothing was too much trouble for Marisa.

Vilamoura trip

Just as described. Good stay for the family, recently remodeled, we had a good stay. The location is great if you like the more touristy area of the marina and all. We prefer the beaches, so it also worked as we wanted to visit Tavira and Albufeira beaches, so everything was 20-30mins away. Easy and pleasant drive. The pool had an issue for a couple of days, but it was fixed, and the interior doors didn’t have locks. Other than that, just minor things. Thanks to Luis and Marisa.

Upscale property with some issues

The house is beautiful. However, there are things that could be improved. We were 4 couples (8 people). 1-We only received one set of keys to the house. This caused us to coordinate day trips away from the house. A minimum of two sets is necessary. 2-The toilet on the first floor has a broken tank top. It should be replaced or the entire toilet should be replaced. The water pressure in the shower on the first floor is very low. The diverter doesn't divert. 3-There should be an information packet for renters in multiple languages. It should include info about lawn irrigation times. You could be in one of the lounge chairs when the sprinklers come on and get soaked. Instructions on how to operate appliances and information on local attractions. We looked for nearly two hours for the light switch for the light fixture above the dining room table. It was on the side of the console cabinet. Overall, there should be an assessment by the owner on all the little things that need to be repaired or fixed.

Simple mais bien

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour. La maison est très jolie mais un peu vieillissante. Il faudrait revoir les électroménagers à l’ordre du jour et aussi les bbq qui sont très vétustes. La piscine semble plus grande sur les photos, mais ce n’est vraiment pas un problème. Pour le reste tout était très bien

Fell very short of expectations

I would hope that the is is not the case in the future but when I arrived at the property at first glance I saw two glass bottles on the lawn, cigarette butts on the plant pots and what seems to be grease on the outdoor dining table. The grill was small and completely crusted. Then, The inside had smudges on the floors and there were ants lined up along the walls. The beds were ok and the linens were good. The TV didn’t turn on and the Wi-Fi didn’t work. I messaged the property manager who took 2 days to respond. We had to buy a portable hotspot to get Wi-Fi in the house. Water pressure in the showers up stairs was very poor, and we couldn’t take showers in multiple bathrooms or the water would become cold and even less pressured. The washing machine was broken and we couldn’t do laundry. The only positives from this trip was location even though there was construction going on, the pool which was clean, and the ACs which are a must for warm summer nights. Overall I was not satisfied especially considering how much of a premium it’s being added for the location. Unfortunately I don’t see us staying here again.

Fantastic family holiday!

We have just returned from Vilamoura and had a fantastic stay in the villa. It’s a fantastic base for a family. The children thoroughly enjoyed the pool for our two week stay. The villa was very well equipped and modern inside. We were particularly impressed with how comfy the beds were and the lovely showers. The booking process was simple and any questions we had before and during our stay were answered straight away. We definitely hope to return next year!

Fabulous weekend for 50th birthday celebrations

Lovely Villa in need of a little updating in parts and more sun beds would have been nice but other than that suited our needs perfectly. 30 min walk to Marina or 5 euros in an Uber. Very well stocked kitchen and lovely lounge and outdoor area for eating. Silvia and Hugo also lovely and accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic villa - home from home

Spent 3 nights at the villa for a girls weekend away. The villa was well equipped with everything we needed, and the garden/pool/patio area was fantastic for a large group. Shops within 15 min walk, or there are plenty of taxis if you want to visit the marina. Would highly recommend this property for families / groups etc.

Lovely large villa in a beautiful area.

We had a wonderful time. There were 8 of us attending a conference at The Hilton just up the road. The villa was comfortable and served our needs. Ideal for larger groups of people. This is very much a home from home. Could do with the bathrooms having a refurb hence our lower star rating.

Lovely villa

We spent 12 days with our family in Villamaura.Hugo the manager was waiting for us when we arrived ,a very pleasant and helpful man. The villa was nice and clean ,there was everything you need. Booking was very easy . I would definitely book again this villa next year.

Special celebration

Stayed for 3 nights to celebrate a 50th birthday. We found the villa to be comfortable and spotlessly clean. The owners could not have been easier to deal with and were more then helpful with any inquiry I made regarding our stay. The location is about a 10 min walk to to a small spar supermarket which has most things you would need. There were bikes you could hire very near and the harbour and beach were a 5 min ride in a taxi about 7 Euro. You could walk it but would take about 25 mins. Would not hesitate to return to this villa. Only negative is the bathrooms need updating but were still ok. Caroline Edwards

Schöner Familienurlaub

Die Villa ist sehr gross und geräumig. Wir haben sie mit 6 Personen bewohnt. Es war sauber, aber das Inventar ist schon in die Jahre gekommen. Alles hat funktioniert, eine Waschmaschine gibt es auch, was bei einen Urlaub mit Kinder ein grosses Plus ist. Der Kontakt mit der Agentur ging problemlos, auch wurden Wünsche nach neuen Handtüchern und Bettwäsche schnell erfüllt. Was ein wenig irritierend war, das im Internet ein Haushälter inklusive ist, ABER es kommt niemand zwischendurch zum reinigen. Alles in Allem aber eine gute Empfehlung.

Lovely villa, very clean and comfortable, great pool and garden

Great short stay (4 nights) but this villa would definitely suit a longer stay too. We were greeted at the villa by Rosa who speaks excellent English, and who was more than happy to give us recommendations (& then happily booked it for us) a lovely seafood restaurant in Quarteira as a celebration of two of our birthdays. The villa is very comfortable, beds good, bedding nice and crisp and towels aplenty and drawers and wardrobes for clothes. One bedroom (with twin beds which could be a double too) is en-suite which was a bonus. The other bathroom is large and on 1st floor and there is a very handy cloakroom on the ground floor - we all loved the bathrooms' colour coordinated fittings and tiles. It is well equipped for self catering, has a big fridge and separate freezer, washing machine.. The efficient AC in the kitchen and bedrooms was very welcome on our visit too. . Lovely garden, the pool isn't massive but fine for laps and is deep one end and shallow the other, and it is kept very clean, there are nice outside table and chairs. Inside a large dining table too. There is a TV which we believe had English channels but we didn't watch it. Taxis's cheap to get to Vilamoura or Quarteira. We rented a car so shopping easy (10 mins to large supermarket). We had a couple of very, very minor gripes - ideally there should be more than two sunbeds, but to be fair there are also two deckchairs & two other comfortable garden seats (ideal for sunning and reading), and beach towels provided for lying on the grass. The BBQ could be a bit bigger for larger parties but was fine for the four of us. As I say very very minor things. Basically it is a great place to stay and we would definitely return here for another Algarve visit, It is just 20 mins from the airport and close to all local places of interest. Luis, the owner, was very responsive to all my questions before the booking too and Rosa who lives nearby was friendly and helpful. Happy to recommend it. Happy Holidays!

Very attractive, spacious and welcoming

The villa itself is lovely, good decoration and use of space. Air con every room you need it, very welcoming and comfortable generally. Garden nice too with pool. The area is good too, maybe if you don't like walking you'd hire a bike or car but we liked to walk so didn't mind. Ten mins to local shops, 30 mins to good local restaurants and 40 mins to great beach all by foot. We were welcomed on our arrival by Rosa, lovely lovely lady!! Very happy to help with anything we needed and made us smile a lot. Would recommend.

Absolutely beautiful!

We had a delightful weeks stay in Villamoura. The Villa is in a peaceful residential area, it is absolutely beautiful, spacious and spotlessly clean. A well equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds and living area. There are Plenty of towels and bed linen available, particularly impressed at provision of separate pool/beach towel The garden area was lovely- Breakfast on the terrace followed by a morning by the pool - what better way to start the day. Pool was gorgeous and cleaned each morning before we even woke! Luis ans Rosa were both so helpful and attentive both before and during our stay. Very genuine people who really wanted us to have a wonderful stay. The villa is approx 5 min drive to the stunning beach and also to the busier marina area. A great place to stay with family. We will most definitely be returning!! Thank you!

Excelente estadia, Fomos muito bem recebidos e muito bem acolhidos. A casa está muito bem localizada e tem muito boas condições. O proprietário foi bastante simpático e atencioso tanto na chegada como na saída. Voltaremos certamente. Recomendo
