Amazing Space & Location

Our family of 10 enjoyed the hot tub, each having our own rooms with bathrooms & location so easy to walk everywhere. The kitchen was perfect for hanging out and making family meals.

Veterans Family Vacation

The house and yard were perfect for our family! So nice to have large areas to dine and relax. The backyard is beautiful!! The attention to gardening is amazing. We bbq’d, used the hot tub, and walked to Encinitas. Home and location were exactly as advertised. Thank you!

Great Family Resort Home

We loved the house and all the amenities! Kids loved the pool and hot tub. Backyard seats entire group. Only issue was that the folding twin mattresses were not on site. Contacted the manager and immediately brought over 2 inflatable mattresses. Very responsive. Lots of towels and bedding! Great location and we walked and ran along the beach. Was old love to visit again.

Perfect spot for a getaway with friends

Plenty to do, fantastic location and great sleeping arrangements for kids and adults alike. Everything we needed was intuitively available, and management was easily reached for questions that arose during our stay. We've already recommended it to friends!

50th Celebration / The Euros (Soccer) Daughter's 16th

We had a great time with friend and family celebrating two significant birthdays and Celebrating England Winning the soccer and progressing to the next round of the Euros. We would 100% come back, great spot, great pool, great facilities, everything worked, everything was clean. If i had to comment on one small point, the living room needs a bigger TV but apart from that Perfect for a gathering of friends and Family

Beachcomber

My family and I stayed at the Beachcomber for five days and had a wonderful time. With young kids it was very convenient to many local attractions - Legoland, San Diego Zoo Safari Park and a walk to the beach. The house itself was great and had everything we needed to start our stay. Although the pool is not heated you can heat the hot tub portion; it heats up quickly. The bedroom and bath layout served our family well. You do have to watch small children around the stairs; we used a few chairs to block access while we all were in the very large living/dining/kitchen area. All is all it was perfect for us.

Very seamless stay

Excellent area. Great property. We had a wonderful time. Easy access to market, restaurants and beach. Only issue was poor internet access due to the house having concrete walls. Gaming or streaming for the kids was difficult. Otherwise great property.

A+ for location but this property has been neglected.

Son’s wedding in Escondido and this property was the only negative. Location and gardens of property were excellent BUT the house has been neglected and was unclean and photos did not portray the true state of the home. I provided 20 photos of the issues to Avant Stay. Avant Stay offered to send maintenance but honestly most of the issues could not be resolved by their crew. Grimey moldy floors, blood stains over rug and blanket (we ended up removing from property), leaky showers, leaky washing machine, rickety curtains and beds, keypad stopped working, pool flooring was gross, outside kitchen shown in photos not operational. This is just a few things on the list. I feel honestly deceived and immensely disappointed.

Great location, missed on the details

The house was overall good. It’s an old house that’s probably been through a few renovations. There were a lot of spider webs on the patio furniture. The downstairs bedroom smelled very musky. We had to air it out. The beds were firm which I liked. The kitchen was well equipped though they ran out of regular coffee. The property manager was a little slow to respond though always did and helped get answers to my questions.

It was OK

The grounds of the house are amazing - great location for walking to grab food, to see the beach, etc. The house itself really lacked for us. Several things were broken throughout our stay, including the stovetop -- and we hired a professional chef who could not cook half the stuff they brought (which we were still charged for). There were also lights broken in showers making it uncomfortable to shower in the dark. One toilet was broken. We also found the sheets to be super uncomfortable, along with the couch area. The home just has ZERO homey factory so if you want to be comfortable and have things that work, this isn't the place. If you're looking for a crash pad, this works.

Birthday Celebration

Our family gathered to celebrate Grandpa's birthday. This home was absolutely perfect. We have swimmers, new and old surfers, hikers, beach-combers in our family. We came in on a Monday and checked out on Friday. Weekdays are the best days for all the adventures. Everyone had a bed and easy bathroom access! The modern updated kitchen had tons of room, in fact, there's a second fridge in the laundry room. Fun features! Grilling steaks and eating outside in the huge table area met our needs. The garage has beach chairs, umbrellas, and sand toys available. Every day began and ended with swimming in the beautiful pool. A day trip to Sea World took a half hour, as did the hiking to Torrey Pines. The remainder of the stay was spent in Encinitas at Swami's and Moonlight beaches and eating! Dinner at Union Kitchen and Tap was tasty and accommodating for our large group. Carry out pizzas from URBN we're huge, unique, and very good. Lunch tacos were a hit at Taco City and the favorite, The Taco Stand. All in Encinitas. Von's Safeway grocery is around the corner. The memories and experiences in the Cariff/Encinitas area were perfect for us...we ALL highly recommended!

Great location, very spacious

The property had the standard wear & tear for a rental. Especially, a short term rental, but overall the place was HUGE. gigantic living room, kitchen, and rooms as well. All spread out with bathrooms, etc. We had an issue with the jacuzzi and the stop top in the kitchen and the management was able to easily troubleshoot over text and solve it for us. That was huge. We lucked out on fantastic weather our weekend and spent the entire time by the pool. We were a group of friends and this was a perfect space. I saw pack-n-play yards, but I didn't find the property entirely kid-friendly. Definitely not little toddlers. Just a lot of concrete stairs and wires, just not toddler-safe, IMO. Overall, we REALLY enjoyed our stay and would book again. The lowlight for me, was having to bother the management company multiple times to get our deposit back, which we did, but I'm not convinced they would have sent it back without me bothering them.

Nice Get Away

This property met our needs for a few day trip to experience San Diego. The pool was great, kids enjoyed the outdoor space. It was a very open concept inside which allowed us to spend some quality time together with friends. Beds were very nice for sleeping. The only issue I can think of was spotty wifi which cause some issues w/the TV. Overall a great place, located within walking distance to Encinitas.

Great home in great location

We had a great stay with my group of friends for a wedding we were attending in town. The house was spacious and had great amenities. we enjoyed hanging at the hot tub and watching football in the grand living room. Location was also perfect with it being only a short walk to a bunch of shops and restaurants. Beautiful views as well on top of the cliff. Would recommended for a large family or group !

Spacious and great location

We had a party of 3 families and all had a very comfortable stay at the property. The location is great as its access to the local market where all shopping, restaurants and coffee shops are located. The beach is a 7-8 mins walk down and accessible to surfing etc. The house was very nice. Very spacious with nice front and back yards. The pool was a good size and the adjoining hot tub made for a great evening gathering spot. Negatives: The only issue we had was when pay a large price for the property, the finishes were not there. Example, the TV was low end and the sound was terrible for anyone to watch a movie. There is a certain level of finish that would have been appreciated. As we stayed for 4 nights, it would have been nice for the property to be staged for our needs i.e. one small bottle of body wash is not sufficient. Overall The property management team was very responsive and did everything possible to bring us soap, purchase new towels within a suitable time. We would stay here again as the place works very well for a large gathering and location was very conveinient.

4 generations of family had a great time

We had seniors, adults, young adults, and young kids (1-8) staying at the property. It has something to offer for everyone with kids in the pool 10 hours a day and the young adults wandering around Encinitas. It's a beautiful property in a unique area of Encintas. The cookware in the kitchen leaves a lot to be desired, particularly if you're trying to cook to feed 15+ people at a time. The Avant Stay team was highly responsive.

Great outdoor space and big kitchen inside and outside that's great for big meals. 15-20 minute walk to the main drag on Highway 101 in Encinitas. 10/10 would recommend.

Beautiful modern beach house in Encinitas

Loved staying at Beachcomber! The fun + funky design and open floor plan were great for my friends and I to hang out in. The dining room table + counter space is enough to sit 16 people! Loved how the indoor balcony opens up to the great room, amazing for the perfect insta shot :)

memorial day review

Property was beautiful and in a great location. Loved the pool, outdoor space, and ping pong table. However, some aspects were frustrating given the price. For example, properly felt like it wasn't quite ready in some respects. Some lights and lamps didn't have bulbs, and we couldn't find spares. Not enough silverware to accommodate the guests. And we couldn't get any of the TVs to work. There was no property manual either, so there was no go-to place to answer questions about how to work TVs, etc. Those little negatives accumulated by the end, and while they were not a gigantic deal, it was annoying given that the place is relatively pricey. At that price, expectations were high. Still, overall a good place.
