Cabin Cove vid floden

Ta ett steg tillbaka i tiden när du kommer in i vår lilla timmerstuga vid floden. Denna stuga byggdes 1949 och är en kopia av timmerstugorna byggda av guldsökarna i Alaska. Även om vi i de flesta aspekter är moderna har vi behållit den inhemska charmen i oavslutat trä, grovt, hand huggen stockar och nakna balkar. Inspirationen till stugan hittades av min farfar som tillbringade tid i Alaska och arbetade på Alcan-motorvägen. Du hittar bevis på dess kanadensiska arv i hela stugan.

Cozy hideaway

I rented this property for my family to stay in while visiting. The house was beautiful with lovely views of the river and beautiful grounds. The host was very accommodating. My family is already looking to book it again next year for their next visit.

Great place.

Property is located near the river. Had deer, chipmunks and birds visit. Only negative was all the furniture sat too low. Really enjoyed our visit.

We love this cabin

This was our second stay at Cabin Cove. We keep coming back because we love the quaint and comfortable cabin, the lovely and quiet setting along the river, and proximity to family and our favorite places in Iowa Falls. We will return.

Waiting on housr closing

Oh my gosh it was wonderful. We wete inbetween . I have grown children in a nearby town. They were able to come visit and relax by the river. What an amazing beautiful place to stay. The gals next door were wonderful as well. Thanks for sharring.

So-So

Every piece of furniture was very uncomfortable.Kitchen was very small. The whole cabin was out dated. A lot of vegetation growth outside,not trimmed up neatly.

We enjoyed this property. It was a great place for us to stay. We loved watching the birds and wildlife and the location as "off the beaten path" but still convenient to everything. Being on the river with a bench and chairs to sit and enjoy the scene was great. The property was well equipped for our purposes. We enjoyed the decor with antiques and local interest items.

We stayed here because I was working in Cedar Falls and in Ames and this was a good halfway point. It is so peaceful by the river and the host was very accommodating. My husband lives with a physical disability and doesn't handle stairs well; this place has no stairs and was very accessible and worked well for him. Our dog loved it too, plenty of green space. A lovely spot in a small town, one of our favorite stops. Thank You!

Good experience

The property was clean, and the bathroom had been remodeled and the mattresses changed since our last stay. Also, I'm pretty sure we left 2 Iowa Chops in the freezer. I think they fell behind the ice bin. Feel free to eat them. We just purchased them on Friday.

Peace at the Cabin

Heidi is a wonderful host. The cabin is as she said on line. Peaceful by the river. Very clean. We saw 7 deer one night right outside our window. We would definitely go again.

Wonderful, quaint cabin

Loved the wildlife, flowers, quilts, Tiffany-style lamps. Provides everything you could need. Wonderful experience! The only negative thing I can think of is there is definitely a damp smell as you walk in the door. However, it still may be my new favorite place.

Relax with Nature

Enjoyed watching the deer, ground squirrels, and geese on the river. The neighborhood was very peaceful. Five minutes to downtown for shopping and restaurants. Well worth the money.

It was actually even nicer than expected. Coffee and condiments in the refrigerator. All paper goods were supplied. Watched deer, birds, and other wildlife through the windows every morning. Just minutes from downtown shopping, good restaurants, historical sites, beautiful walking trails, and beautiful river road drive. I took advantage of all.

Great cabin on the Iowa river.

Loved the picture window that looked out at bird feeders and the river. Every morning we had many different types of bird to watch while we ate breakfast. Loved the glider on the front porch. Lovely decorations in the cabin. All the amenities we needed. Easy drive into town.

Off to college

Was a perfect family setting! We traveled 1400 miles to drop our son off at college. Cottage was a perfect setting to have our family dinners and say goodbye. Will stay here again!!!!!
