BBQ pÄ utomhuskolgrillen. 2 miles utanför motorvÀgen. Perfekt för par, soloÀventyrare, familjer och pÀlsvÀnner.

VÄr stuga ligger pÄ egendom som har varit i vÄr familj sedan början av 1800-talet och gÀsterna uppmuntras att gÄ, Äka (ta med din cykel) och njuta av lugnet i omrÄdet pÄ sin fritid. Du uppmuntras att ta med en mobiltelefon eftersom det inte finns nÄgon telefon i lokalerna. Du hittar byggandet av vÄr stuga bekvÀm, attraktiv och intressant. Piney Woods Weekend

The cabin at Lost Pines is absolutely perfect. Very quaint while still having all the amenities you need. We had five people for the weekend and it was very comfortable. I am absolutely looking to stay here again! We stayed in the cabin while attending Sherwood, so I would love to return and spend the weekend just exploring the property. The owners were very sweet and responsive. Highly recommend!

Another great stay in the woods

Our favorite place to relax and unwind free from the road noise, and noisy neighbors. This was our third visit and already planning for next year. This cabin is as advertised, quaint, rustic but with the best back porch in Texas. Great for morning coffee or evening drinks and with a view what else could you ask for.

Annual getaway after Christmas

This was the perfect place for our getaway. The property was fantastic. The cabin was wonderful full of interesting history about the Chicken Ranch and everything we needed to cook and relax. Jan was wonderful and always responsive. The best part for us was being able to let our dogs off leash to run and hike the numerous trails. We will definitely return

Peaceful Retreat Among the Pine Trees

I loved the feel of the cabin on this private property tucked among the pine trees. If you are looking for peaceful solitude, this is the place. Very close to the state park for hiking and the little town is cute too. The cabin was a little buggy, not too bad, but expected since it's in the middle of nowhere. I enjoyed a peaceful solo get away here.

Perfect retreat

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin is charming but comes with most mod cons. We didn’t turn the tv on, instead we loved the rocking chairs on the back porch for relaxing, bird watching and enjoying the forest setting..

Slice of heaven

This was our second stay and we absolutely love it out here. So peaceful and well accommodated. The hosts are the best I've ever worked with for vacation rentals. The property is so neat to explore. We brought our e-bikes this time and it made for some great rides as well as an easy trip to Buescher next door to ride the road to Bastrop. A+ vacation!!

This is a place to really feel away from it all. It has been a long time since I heard the wind whistling through the pines. Even though it was hot outside - I could not stop from being on the back porch for hours, mostly in the hammock. The theme of the cabin is fun and absolutely feels and is rustic. And that is what was looking for
and got. The communication was great and was very friendly on top of that. You could tell you were going somewhere unique while driving back the unpaved farm road and it was that and more. Had everything you need to unwind and relax. This was a three day stay after a day of work but I will be coming back out just to stay there for sure. Highly recommend!!!!

We absolutely loved our stay at the cabin. The cabin itself was charming and rustic. If you are wanting a fancy place to stay, this isn’t the place for you. If you want an awesome, quiet, rustic place where you have room to hike, enjoy the quiet and the land, this is definitely the place! We would come back to this place again!

Another great stay

This was the 3rd year in a row that we have stayed here and would continue to recommend. Host is great and its not through a management company, which is always a plus. She responds quick even though we have never had an issue. Will be coming back here for sure.

Home base for Colorado River fishing trip

Fabulous again!

We got to enjoy this wonderful property again for a long weekend! We love the cabin, walking around the property, letting our dogs swim in the lake and sitting outside watching the stars. Will definitely be back. The host is quick to respond and left a lovely welcome basket.

Wonderful Getaway

My husband and I loved our stay at the cabin. We were spending 3 days shopping the Round Top antique show and it was nice coming back to the cabin and just relaxing on the back porch. Truly perfection. The cabin was roomier then I thought it would be. The decor was thoughtfully done, had all the comfort you needed and extremely clean. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend to others looking for a wonderful getaway.

The property gives us the opportunity to be outside most of the day. I enjoy making and running the trails and working in the yard or around the property clearing brush. My husband is always making improvements. We are doing our best to be good stewards of the land.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

The land has been in our family since the late 1880’s. Our piece is at the end of a 2 mile shared easement road which is mostly still family. Everyone is close, friendly, and helpful. Once you are on our property, the pace slows down and the quiet sets in. Close enough to the sweet town of Smithville if you need a dose of small town charm.
