Not What Was Expected
First, let me preface by saying we have rented many âowner lives on propertyâ VRBOs: upstairs, downstairs, next door always behind a locked door. NEVER behind a billfold door that doesnât shut properly. Never in a position where the owner just pops in whenever to join the conversation and certainly never had a sibling stop by, proclaiming âmy brother owns this house. Iâm here to drop off this computer and take him to dinner.â while traipsing through the space.Our first impression was an iced over driveway - just a sheet of ice. Most of kitchen items/appliances were either dusty, sticky or both. There was a hard water film at the bottom of the tea kettle so we skipped using that. The intricate system of trash separation would have been fine if the cans had actually been emptied at some point. There is no indication that there are âshared spacesâ in the description - you have to click on the pictures for that info. My wife and I stayed in the master. We left our clothes in open suitcases on the floor since the dresser, closet and nightstand were filled with personal belongings. It was an awkward experience that could have been better.
