Hyde House Dogwood Room Bed and Breakfast Hocking Hills Ohio mellan

Detta vackra nationella register viktorianska hus (tidigare kÀnt som The Mead House) byggdes 1882 och blev hem för Dr. Jerry Morris Hyde och familjen i Hyde i nÀstan 90 Är. Ursprungligen byggd av Dr. I. P. Primrose för sin dotter Sarah och hennes nya make, den sÄldes till Dr. Hyde 1890. De tvÄ lÀkarna var vÀnner, grannar och ocksÄ partners i flera Nelsonville fastighetsföretag. NÀr den sista Hyde-efterfaren dödades 1977 blev huset en följd av bostÀder, hyror och studentbostÀder, tills det rÀddades och vackert restaurerades som en Bed & Breakfast av Michael och Sheila Mark 2006. Under 2009 blev den lÄngvariga Bed and Breakfast-entreprenören och historiaÀlskaren Sue Maxwell Àgare. Sue Àgde B & B-traditionen fram till 2016. Sue Àger Primrose Bed & Breakfast tvÀrs över gatan. Perfect place to stay for a short getaway. Close to downtown Nelsonville--walkable to the main square. It was clean and charming. Staff who came in to make breakfast were hospitable and made a good breakfast.

Room was fine. Had a problem with the shower and it was quickly fixed. Restaurants within walking distance. About 30 minutes to Hocking Hills trails.

Property was fine, yet not the most advantageous as far as distance from Hocking Hills. Another (family?) showed up that at the Hyde House who were under the impression that they had rented the whole house. They even tried the door to our room.

The Dogwood suite was exactly as pictured and absolutely beautiful. The shower didn’t work as expected, but the claw foot tub works perfectly. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would stay again.

Very convenient location to food, drink and entertainment. Also, pretty decent breakfast next day. My 4 star overall rating is based on the shower. It’s a very low flow shower and made showering interesting. In the end we fared just fine and enjoyed our stay.

Great stay for the price!

The house is huge and clean. Room was plenty big for two. Staff was friendly and breakfast was accommodating to diet restrictions. Only issue was the hot tub was not operable or clean for but the price was fair. Overall 4 stars would come back

Beautiful woodland setting with birds and deer. The house wonderfully decorated, comfortable and totally stocked with kitchen, bath, laundry essentials. Quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Would definitely recommend

The house is so pretty and we loved the room. The door is hard to get into for the house, it jams and you have to push hard, we figured this out while it was raining. Mandy the cook was amazing and went the extra mile for us. We would definitely come again. My only tiny complaint is there is no shampoo or conditioner, and the soap is so so tiny. Otherwise, the stay was absolutely perfect. I love that they provided fans and extra blankets.

The room was spacious and very clean. The instructions given at check in were detailed and helpful. The neighborhood was quiet. We loved the furnishings throughout the house. I would stay there again.

Lovely house

The Dogwood room was comfortable and spacious. We appreciated the large bathroom with shower and claw foot tub. Comfortable sitting area downstairs as well. Easy walk to the town square with a couple of restaurants and a coffee shop.

Very nice and cozy

Very nice, clean and charming house. Walking distance to a couple restaurants but not much else to do in town. But we went to hike at Hocking Hills so it was fine. Breakfast was good. Only disappointment was the hot tub was not working. We were looking forward to that after hiking all day.

an actual time machine

i think the thing my partner and i were excited about most when arriving was how it felt like we were in a time capsule. the spiral staircase is beautiful and so are the rugs and the decorations. the clawfoot tub was cool. the bathrooms are super clean with how old fashioned the toilet and tub are.
