Fitz Family Ozark Getaway!
This place is amazing and totally unique. The interior and exterior of this two-story octagonal structure made sure we felt like we were on vacation even after coming back from excursions. Rather, this place is it's own excursion. The floor to ceiling windows provide amazing views, and it's well shaded by trees that provide solid privacy for sitting out on the upper or lower deck areas. But we spent most of our time swimming, fishing, kayaking, relaxing, and sunning on the cozy octagonal "martini" dock ... it's probably the best spot on the water in this quiet cove. The water was beautifully warm (early August) and we didn't see (or feel!) any plants/seaweed in the water around the dock. It was perfect for my wife who requires warm water to go swimming, and for my kids who may not have gone swimming if there were plants tickling their feet.There's a place that rents boats just 3-5 minutes away by car (and boat) so you can squeeze every minute out of your rental.Dave was very quick with communication, check-in was a breeze, the kitchen and baths are very high quality, and I grilled some of the best steaks we've ever had on the outdoor grill.
