Great location to downtown Canmore! Very clean, comfy mattresses, and enjoyed the espresso coffee maker! Could have used a few more kitchen utensils and a working air conditioner. Having windows open at night cooled things off, but the train noise was a little loud.

A room with a view

Magpies Nest is a beautiful two bedroom condo. The bed mattresses weren’t to everyone’s liking. My eighty year old sister slept in a recliner. The kitchen was equipped with most essentials. It would have been nice to have an ice cream scoop and directions on how to use the fancy coffee machine. Overall I would definitely stay here again.

Summer Getaway

Overall we rate the property high. The location was excellent. There were dust bunnies under both beds which led to a lower cleanliness rating. We ran out of kleenex with no replacement in sight. Toilet paper short in supply too. We recognize it was warm weather during our stay but the air conditioner was inadequate. Both bedrooms were very warm for sleeping.

Great place to stay for our ski trip.

Great place to stay in Canmore. We were able to walk anywhere in the city we wanted to go and easily drive to access the 3 nearby ski resorts. Loved the condo, well equipped and clean. We’ve stayed in Banff and Canmore for skiing and I think we prefer staying in Canmore even though the drive is a little farther to the resorts. This is a great place for a couple or two to stay and access everything the area has to offer.

Canmore Stay

Conveniently, located in Canmore, everything in walking distance. Condo was well equipped and clean, with a great view of the mountains. Really enjoyed my stay.

Love this place!

Excellent. The condo was exactly as marketed. The coffee machine was so good I barely ever bought coffee out. The windows and drapes could adjust so that I could be living above a physio and alcohol store and across from a grocery store and not see them only mountains. It was the best. Was quiet and convenient. Highly recommended

Great Location and place to use as a base

We enjoyed Magpie"s nest, as we could walk to everything in Canmore and it was close all the destinations we wanted to see. We would stay again if we came back. Perfect for 2 couples. enough to all the destinations we wanted to see.

Canmore is lovely

The nest in the Rockies is exactly that! My husband and I and our great friends Kevin and Susan, came here to see Banff Park. We were up early, hiked most days and it was wonderful to come back to the nest, have a nice fire and dinner to doit again the next day! The kitchen was well stocked, laundry room we put to terrific use and the location fantastic! So convenient and beautiful. Will definately be back!

Convenient to beautiful Banff

Canmore is a great place to stay - convenient to Banff NP but also vibrant by itself with nice restaurants and plenty of nearby trails and wildlife. Magpie’s Nest was nice; a basic 2 bedroom 2 bath space in a condo bldg close to restaurants and retail. Space was functional but a bit tight for our family. Place is well-stocked and owner was easy to communicate with.

Great weekend retreat

We found the Nest was very clean and well appointed and had everything we needed for our stay. The location was great and provided easy access to downtown and all the amenities. Will definitely be back.

Perfect location to explore Canmore.

Best location to walk town center in Canmore. Condo is clean and comfortable. I’d stay here again without hesitation. Great place to spend 2 or more nights when exploring the Banff region.

First trip to Canadian Rockies

We loved staying at Magpie’s Nest. The property was the perfect size for our family of four, and was clean and comfortable. Canmore is a lovely town and the condo was close to town center, allowing us to walk while exploring. Canmore is also a nice centralized location when exploring Banff and Yoho. We will be back. My name is Rob, and my wife is Martine. I came to the Rockies for a summer camp in 2000 and 2001. I immediately fell in love with the area. I took my wife on a road trip in 2004 and she had the same reaction. It took us 10 years to finally leave the province of Quebec and cross the country with our 3 young children to start a new life in Canmore. Since 2014, we call it home. We love to explore those mountains by foot. We’ve scrambled a few of them and are always looking for new peaks to explore. We now have a furry friend that follow us everywhere, Bernie. You can see him on some pictures. We’ve been sharing our passion for the mountain with our guest since 2015. It’s been an incredible journey that brought us to meet some amazing people.

Walking distance to groceries, restaurants, pubs, local shops and sports centre. We’ve put a lot of time to make sure this unit meets all your needs.
