9 nights at the Cove!

We had a wonderful 9 night stay at this unit in Sunset Cove! This large unit is very lovely and it is located directly on the water!! It is oceanfront on one of the best , chill spots on SMB! The unit was very clean and had everything you basically need. My family all loved the fantastic cove and my 3 kids loved the pool and hot tub! Many fun people from all over the world! The poolside food and staff were also a hit! Unit was clean upon arrival, and has a great big couch and table for inside and outside dining! We only used the outside table for dining, since the weather is so fabulous! The unit does need a few basic maintenance issues, yet I'm sure the owner will get on top of those things. We would love to return to this special spot! It really is a beautiful place to stay!

Amazing Place

This condo overlooks the waters of the Caribbean on 7-mile beach. The close proximity to all the important amenities (ocean/beach/pool/restaurants/shops/airport/etc) exceeds expectations. Most importantly, the host; Joe, was supper gracious allowing us early access after a long journey waiting on plane maintenance....He was awesome!

Meh

The condo does not look as bright as in photos. Lots of dark brown furniture and bedding. The complex is dowdy and run down. Much less attractive than other options nearby. Still great sunset view and smallish beach. Lots of screaming kids. Also can’t walk on beach to other properties on 7 mile beach. We paid to spend the day at Bonny Moon and Westin where beach is gorgeous. Nd food and drinks are great. Also no soap or kleenex provided and fridge water filter needed changing, torn throw pillow and bugs in bathroom light. Also no closet in master so could not hang cloths except on bathroom hooks. . Ok for price but could be so much better with a bit of attention to details. The cleaning staff were lovely and did a nice job.

Great condo w/ amazing views

We enjoyed this condo and complex very much. The balcony overlooking the ocean was amazing. Nice close walk to the pool and bonus pool bar/restaurant.We were a group of 5 and had plenty of space. Would return for sure.

Sunset cove beachfront

Wonderful location right on the beach. Condo was clean and child friendly ( no glass table tops). Plenty of space for 5 adults and a 2 1/2 yr old. Joe the property manager was very responsive to both general questions as well as a few minor appliance issues. Sunset Cove complex has a large pool, including wading pool, sandy beach cove cleaned of rocks and protected by wall, and close to great restaurants and shopping. Highly recommend!

Best Treasure on 7 Mile Beach!

Our family of 5 just stayed at Joe’s condo for a week on Feb 2025. This was our first trip to GC, and we felt like we struck gold. Joe was so helpful and got back to me right away. Sunset Cove is the only place on 7MB with a protected cove - perfect for a calm float or for littler swimmers. The condo itself was sublime - the space, the cleanliness, the LOCATION!! Watching the sunset from the patio or drinking Kim coffee oceanfront never got old. We had the time of our lives and cannot wait to return.

The property was just "ok"

The property is not actually on 7 Mile Beach and the photos were somewhat misleading. Only the primary bedroom had a TV (but it does not have a closet!) and none of the beds were comfortable. Our electronic devices could not be mirrored on the TV in the living room. The screen door to the patio sticks and the hammock needs to be removed or replaced as it is in terrible shape and takes up a LOT of room. The blender did not work, but the owner was very responsive in getting it replaced the next day. We could not get the toaster oven to work and my message about it to the owner went unanswered.

Outstanding location, close to everything on 7 mile! Condo was very clean and had all the amenities we needed! Awesome pool and beach too, not at all crowded and reef snorkeling right out the cove, definitely would come back!

Perfect Vacation

We just got back from a week in this condo and we had the best time. The location is perfect and we walked to several restaurants, a liquor store, some shopping, a couple of bars, etc. This condo is beach front so the sunsets were amazing. The owner is Joe and I asked several questions before my stay and he was very responsive. I even asked if there was a stand fan in the unit just for white noise and he said there wasn't but he mush have requested someone put it there because there was a large fan in the unit when I arrived. Thanks, Joe!! The condo had everything we needed and more. We cooked breakfast every morning and the kitchen is fully stocked with plenty of cookware and serveware for that. We didn't need anything. I noticed one prior review had said they wished there were some extra blankets and there are now plenty of extra blankets in one of the closets. There are also plenty of clothes hangers which I appreciated because I usually travel with some but just didn't have room but loved that I was able to hang up all of our clothes. Beds & pillows comfortable! The private beach area was kept clean the entire week and there are plenty of lounge chairs to use. A couple of days the ocean was pretty rough but the protected swimming cove was the perfect area to get in the water. This condo had plenty of floaties available to use on the patio which is a nice bonus. The swim up bar & grill serves great food and we loved Danni & Jenny.

Family vacation

This is an excellent property for families. The holiday week has lots of kids and my kids were able to make friends. The unit is incredible, great view and has everything you need. We used the car rental option too, but mostly stuck close to home.

Ok for us.

My first impression of the place was that it wasn’t clean and was pretty dingy. In all fairness, I think what happened was the cleaning crew cleaned the unit but forgot to finish because the beds were clean and made, but the counters weren’t clean and there were no finishing touches like the toiletries it said were provided. I wouldn’t normally care about toiletries but this time I packed a carry-on and was kind of relying on them. The unit is also on the second floor overlooking a beach, the view is good but the second floor entrance is pretty inconvenient, no elevator and quite a long walk to the car parking area. The beach that’s out front is basically just what you see that is surrounded by the rocks. It’s not actually connected to the rest of 7 mile beach. This area also drops off quickly, not good for little kids. There is one pool area available, the other pool was caution taped off. They also don’t allow kids to jump into the pool or go in the hot tub, mind you it was pretty sleepy and there weren’t any people around. The whole property grounds are pretty unkempt, nothing overly appealing. The beds in the unit were “new” and the master seem to be an airhead of some sort. Very noisy and unstructured. The bedding was also very low quality. There is a lot of space in the unit and it has most conveniences you need in the kitchen, but no coffee. Overall it was an ok stay, just not what I was expecting I guess.

Sunset Paradise.

Host was extremely helpful before and during our stay. We had a fabulous trip and would definitely stay here again. Condo in a great location with lots of amenities. Loved being on the beach. Pool and pool bar also excellent.

The listing photos are misleading. The condo is worn and disheveled. While the listing mentions TVs in the bedrooms, only the master has a TV. The master bedroom’s furniture is not as pictured, with a squeaky, soft mattress. The towel bar is missing, and the vanity lights are too bright with no dimmer. The bathroom is cramped, requiring you to step into the shower to open and close the door, with mold on the ceiling and tissues stuffed in the ceiling above the showerhead. The curtains are long, dirty, and don’t block sunlight. There are wires hanging, and no closet, so you must use the queen bedroom’s closet. In the queen bedroom, the furniture is different, with no dresser or TV, and the closet is full of the owner's items. The room is dark during the day and bright all night due to outdoor lights. The twin bedroom is cramped, and a drawer falls out if pulled too far. The closet is inaccessible due to the bed placement. The kitchen is fine, but the pots and pans are unusable, and one drawer almost caused an injury. The entrance door is rusty and mildewy. The patio screens don’t work smoothly and have mildew. The family room fan is too low and makes noise. The rugs and floors are dirty, and there’s a musty smell that lingered on our clothes. To me, it’s the little things that make a property 5 star and there are so many misses here that I honestly think the owner needs to come by and check this property personally. Also, there was no mid week cleaning provided.

Reno nightmare

Location convenient but NOT on 7 Mile Beach. You must walk 15 minutes on main road to get to the beach. Public transport was easy and drivers friendly/helpful. The pool with swim up bar/food was nice. Renovations thru complex were noisy and annoying. Jackhammer going directly overhead was horrible.

A Lovely Stay

We enjoyed our time at the Sunset Cove and our condo was pretty and well appointed. The view was absolutely beautiful and the protected cove was amazing. The location was perfect on Seven Mile Beach, so easy to get anywhere. Joe was very responsive to any of our questions or needs. The only thing I would have liked it to have extra blankets in the condo.

Family memories

This was our first trip to Grand Cayman, and it did not disappoint. Weather was hot, it’s July and we had a scare of hurricane damage the week prior. But the island and everyone we encountered was perfect. We rented a car that we picked up at the airport. Driving was tricky the first day or two. Supermarkets are stocked, clean and huge! We did the bioluminescent excursion, which was fantastic and the sting ray city, star fish, coral reef snorkeling. Beautiful! But mostly we stayed all day on the property beach, and ocean. The house had everything we needed except a cigar cutter, lol! We used their floats, brought our own snorkeling masks. We cooked several meals ‘at home’. Ate at Peppers, The Lazy Lizard, the Cracked Conch, and Solis out at Rum point. Fantastic dining and views. We also enjoyed visiting Caybrew brewery and 1981! It was a magical week. Thank you. Btw: our family consists of 3 daughters (21,23, and 29) and one lucky boyfriend(31) was able to join us.

Well hello Hurricane Beryl!!

What a great condo that we stayed in. Totally Beach/ocean front and beautifully updated throughout. Joe was very responsive to questions and help since my husband has difficulty with walking. You can drive your vehicle all the way down to help with unloading groceries or even loading/unloading passengers and luggage. I picked this location because we were bringing grandkids with us. The cove allowed for them to swim freely without the worry of waves, and look for sea life. There is a cut out in the wall that allowed for the adult adventurers to go snorkeling. The swim up bar was a great feature. All the food is delicious as well as the frozen cocktails. The unit has what you need, washer/dryer, starter TP/paper towels, garbage bags, hand soap, towels, beach towels, large umbrella, pots/pans (we didn’t cook). Coffee maker. Refrigerator has filtered water and ice maker. Nearby is a liquor store, XQ’s Pizza (delicious and really nice bar), Piccolino’s for great breakfast and coffee. If you have no trouble with walking there is lots of restaurants close by. We were in the condo when Hurricane Beryl hit. I have to say that Joe was in constant contact. His onsite manager, Ellen, was wonderful. Readily available with questions and follow up. We were the only family in the building but felt extremely safe. Found out that the building and windows were hurricane proof. Best view and patio that you can relax on. Double hammock is very comfy.

The condo was beautiful and very clean. The view was amazing. Location was ideal. You can walk to restaurants and stores. The pool and beach were great. I loved the rocked in beach. Snorkeling was perfect, as there was a reef outside that rocked wall. Looking forward to coming back!

Perfect Spot on SMB

This location and condo was perfect for our family! It had all the amenities we needed for 5 people. The 3 bedrooms fit us perfectly!! The location was surrounded by ever place we wanted to visit. We did have our own rental car and explored the entire island! We loved the cove located right outside the complex. And the pool and swim up bar was just right for pool time! We will definitely be back!!

This newly renovated oceanfront, second floor condo is located on Seven Mile Beach about a mile from Georgetown and walking distance from many of the stores, restaurants, and night spots. It has a large,16x25ft. open air patio overlooking the Ocean with a view of Seven Mile Beach from end to end. The patio provides front row seats to the magnificent Grand Cayman sunsets. At night you can fall asleep to the calming sounds of the Ocean right outside your condo.

The complex provides the perfect balance between the privacy of your own condo and the amenities of a four star resort. The condo complex has its own private beach, two fresh water swimming pools, a freshwater hottub, a children's wading pool, and a swim up bar and grill. There is a marine park off the beach which is ideal for snorkeling.
