Fantastic house in wonderful Eygalières

This house is simply fantastic. Very cosy and modern style, the garden absolutely sublime and totally closed. Our dog LOVED it - and so did we. Eygalières was a very nice surprise. Such a wonderful spot on Earth. Originally we wanted to stay in St. Remy, but the villa was booked, so Celine - the owner of this villa - suggested us to rent their villa in Eygalières, and we are so glad we did. This small village is one of the prettiest places we ever visited - and we have been around ;-). We´ll be back!

A Perfect Spot

Mas Santoline was an ideal house for our group, which ranged from 8-10 over two weeks. The house would easily accommodate 12. Five bedrooms, all with full baths. Two kitchens, one in, one out. The china, glassware, cooking gear, laundry - in short, everything - is generous. Lots of living space, again, indoors and out. The heated pool (we were there September/October) saw lots of use. The property is very nicely groomed. We had five cars at times; no problem. Eygalieres is a pleasant village, big enough for a grocery, a butcher shop, two boulangerie, a Friday market day and, ATM. It is well located for exploring the western part of Provence. Celine, the owner, was very easy to work with, as was Mr Maya, the local manager. On a scale of one-to-ten, it was at least a ten.

The Dixon Family

Firstly the owner of this property was extremely helpful & answered all my e-mails in a timely manner. The listing was accurate & the house is even better in the flesh. It is very clean inside & outside. The pool area & gardens are wonderful. We spent many afternoons chilling out by the pool after a hectic day sightseeing. It is our fourth visit to Provence & we will definitely return to this house in the future. Eygalieres is very convenient for exploring the region, which offers so much. There are too many places to list, but you will find them all in a good guide book. We spent many evenings in the village of Eygalieres. There are plenty of restaurants there & one evening a few of us even walked back to the house. It is about a mile from the village centre, but we also liked to jog there most mornings for a coffee at Cafe de la Place & to pick up our baguettes. The cafe is a busy, bustling, centre of activity & we became very fond of it. Our girls ages 13 & 12 were happy at the house. They enjoyed the Wi-Fi & pool area particularly. We would certainly recommend this property to anyone considering the area.

Wonderful villa in pittoresque village

WE enjoyed every minute. The villa is well equipped for cooking and having meals with a big family, the living room provides enough space for spending free time with playing board games, reading or making music, bathrooms and bedrooms were comfortable. Doing sports outside is perfect, although we couldn't use the pool, the outdoor kitchen and the boule ground only once in January, the garden seems to be perfect from early spring until late autumn. The temperature was dropping below 10 degrees Celsius during the nights but heating was covering these periods well. The only thing that could be improved is the cleaning of the house: There was trash left in two of the bathrooms as we arrived. When we had the midterm cleaning someone obviously used the vacuum cleaner, however the bathrooms stayed very much the same, trash again wasn't emptied. We also had hoped that the few empty glass bottles we collected at the front door would be taken out but they weren't. At a property of this prize you can expect that. But that is a minor complaint --- we would definitely come again and stay at the place!

Thank you Regine for your comment regarding the equipment of the house. Regarding the cleaning of the house: I am sorry for the waste found in the bins of 2 of the 5 bathrooms of the house, I just asked my cleaning team that this does not happen again. Concerning the intermediate household: only the floors and bathrooms are cleaned. Tenants are in charge of putting their waste in the bins outside: waste in one bin and plastic cartons in the other, glass bottles are to be thrown in the bins provided for this of the municipality, it has always been like this in my properties, It is indicated on the inventory of places delivered and signed on arrival. Quels jours chaleureux en famille partagés dans un mas de rêve

Ce mas a été idéal pour fêter en famille la fin de l’année. Chaque chambre est dotée de sa salle de bains , les parties communes sont vastes et chaleureuses avec cheminée , télévision, jeux de société , livres . L’équipement de la cuisine est digne d.un grand restaurant . Et même à cette période, nous avons profité des extérieurs , de la cuisine d’été elle aussi bien équipée avec sa grande table en teck , sa plancha , et du salon d’été .On s’y est senti bien tout de suite comme dans une maison de famille . Nous n’avions plus qu’ à nous laisser porter et profiter ...

Mooie villa, waar je werkelijk niets te kort komt, alles wat je maar kan bedenken zat er in het huis een echte aanrader. We werden uitstekend ontvangen door Alex en alles werd uitgelegd.

Superbe gîte

Cadre magnifique, gîte parfait avec tout le confort et climatisé. Il ne manquait rien. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Alexandre, avec sympathie et bienveillance. Ce gîte est parfait pour les réunions familiales ou entre amis. Les chambres sont très spacieuses, tout comme les autres pièces de vie. Piscine chauffée et jardin magnifique. Les 2 cuisines (dont une à l'extérieur) sont très bien équipées, il ne manque rien. Mise à disposition de vélos, table de ping-pong, jeux de piscine, pétanque... Tout y est bien pensé. Merci à Céline et à Alexandre.

Un super séjour

La situation de la maison est idéale pour sillonner dans une région riche en sites à découvrir. L'intendant est au top, il assure un relai sur place, c'est très rassurant. Tous nos amis sont enchantés du séjour, accueil agréable, maison très confortable et très bien équipée ( nous avons bien apprécié le terrain de boules et le jeu de scrabble). Propreté irréprochable : maison, jardin, piscine. De plus le quartier est très calme. Félicitations et bravo à tous ceux qui entretiennent cette maison.

La propriété est très agréable et fonctionnelle. Un jardin splendide et des activités (piscine, pingpong, boules) appréciées. Seul bémol : les lits très durs et les oreillers :-(

merci pour votre commentaire. les matelas sont en latex, vous êtes la première à vous en plaindre... chaque lit dispose d'au moins 3 oreillers par personne soit en plume soit en synthétique, il est étonnant que vous n'en ayez pas trouvé un à votre goût.

Très beau mas, bien aménagé et super équipé, avec des extérieurs bien conçus et agréables. Bon accueil également. Bref un excellent séjour qui a permis de fêter Noël et de changer d année dans d’excellentes conditions.

Beautiful villa and pool

The pool was well maintained but needed more heating ( we stayed at the end of October ). The house is very comfortable with two bedrooms on the ground floor and three smaller bedrooms upstairs. Neighbouring properties are very close and can be heard sometimes.

Superb house and location!

This is our second visit to this outstanding property. It is within easy walking distance of Eygalieres centre. We LOVE our early morning walks in to the town to get our fresh baguettes and have a cafe au lait at the Cafe De La Place. The house has everything one needs. Plenty of bedrooms to accommodate families with young children or several couples, as we were. St. Remy is a short drive by car, as are many other villages in this wonderful region of Provence. Last time we were with our young children, but this time, because we were all adults, we were able to do some fabulous hiking in Les Alpilles. There are some wonderful restaurants in Eygalieres and surrounding areas. The Friday market is excellent too. Celine is very easy to work with and made us feel very welcome in her wonderful home. Thank you for sharing it with us. I am quite sure we will be back!

Fantastic Villa & location - Cleanliness & maintenance needs attention

Good things The villa is in a beautiful spot near to a beautiful village and in a most beautiful part of France. The Villa itself is relatively new, well designed, and external areas are extensive. The pool was very clean and well maintained, likewise the garden areas were immaculate. Parking areas were generous. Overall, we had a good holiday. Not so good things The Bed linen was of poor quality, the Towels were of poor quality. The pillows in my room were, when the pillow slips were removed, found to be badly stained and there were some old blood stains on them. The linen change after 1 week is a do it yourself operation as the linen was just delivered not fitted (you are also required to strip the old linen). Generally, the standard of the maid service was poor, the stairs were not cleaned during our 2 week stay and they did not enter all the bedrooms during our 2 week stay. The ice maker in the fridge was not functioning. A tile was cracked on the kitchen workshop. The outdoor eating areas needs repairs to the ceiling. The chandelier shades in the living room have been significantly burnt due to overpowered bulbs being used. The house bikes were all unusable. Our group left the Villa (especially the Barbeque area) cleaner then we found it (which should not need to be the case). I do not normally complain; however, this was not a cheap Villa (and it shouldn’t be) but, attention to detail, was, I thought lacking. This Villa should easily be 5 out of 5, but for me, 3 out 5 is a generous as I could be.
