Thomas Cabin - Ft. av Lookout Mountain, National Forest - City-Side

Thomas är en av flera pittoreska, lilla, rustika komfort loggen hem på en skogbevuxen egendom omgiven av National Park land bara ett stenkast från TN River, en mil från South Broad och Ruby Falls vid foten av Lookout Mtn. Denna underbara naturliga och kraftigt skogbevuxna miljö är inbäddad av staden med snabb tillgång till centrum och utkik. Du kommer att njuta av en möblerad bakdäck, täckt veranda och ett otroligt minnesvärt utrymme för din familjeflykt. Thomas är den tredje hyttens östra sida.

Från baksidan har Thomas (uppkallad efter vår tredje son) en bakdäck med Adirondack stolar. Befälhavaren är värd en drottning säng, tvättmaskin och torktumlare, förvaring och TV. Bara ut ur befälhavaren är en inbyggd våningssäng belägen mittemot hallen från badrummet. Genom korridoren går vi in i köket, fullt utrustat för matlagning / matsal med elavl, mikrovågsugn, spis, fullstor kylskåp, skåp och en bar. Vardagsrummet och köket är öppet utrymme med TV: n tvärs över soffan. Loftet har två enkelsängar tillsammans med en byrå för klädförvaring. Utrymmet på loftet är lågt, på bara 4 '- det är ett sovloft, inte upp och gå runt i rymden.

Även om vi vår förening är bokstavligen omgiven av National Park land, är det en urban miljö. Det betyder att det är precis utanför US HY 41, Cummings Highway, ungefär en mil innan det blir Broad St. med körningar direkt till akvariet. Det finns aktiva tågspår som gränsar till egendomen norr och I-24 ligger ungefär 1/2 mil bort så det finns något omgivande stadsbuller. Fastigheten ligger vid foten av Lookout Mountain, med många rock outcroppings och ganska branta sluttningar när du kommer in i kaj parken. Det är en gammal park med stadig renovering, dvs tämmer den engelska murgröna och förskönar den skuggade djupskogade omgivningen.

Du är en mil från Ruby Falls, 4,5 miles rakt ner Cummings / Broad till TN Aquarium, mindre än en mil till några av National Park Lookout Mountain Trail Heads, och bara 2,5 mil till höfterna Southside of Chattanooga . Rock City ligger precis uppe på berget.

Close to everything

We are Gen X 45-50 years old and the scan card is something new for us. We figured it out but it was a little tricky. Everything nowadays has a scan!

One night stay before heading back to Texas

Very comfortable bed! Cute and compact. Clean and nicely decorated. The hot tub jets didn’t work correctly. Unfortunately while I was on the couch reading, while my husband was out, a man unlocked and walked in the door! This frightened me greatly. I know it was a mustane and he apologized and shut the door. Otherwise we enjoyed the stay easy communication with owners

Nice cabin

We stayed here to visit, the Tennessee aquarium, rock city and ruby falls. It was the perfect location to visit all three and not have to stay that far. A very relaxing visit for sure.

This place is located near many great things. There is a highway next to our cabin but we expected it. It didn't affect us much. It has it's own firepit and was just what we needed.

Cozy little place

We stayed for 5 nights in the Thomas cabin. It was a cozy place to stay and so much better than a hotel room! This was our first time using Vrbo and we will never stay in a hotel again. It is virtually at the bottom of Ruby Falls, which I highly recommend taking the time to visit. It's conveniently located in the middle of restaurants, shopping and grocery stores, while being a little gem that makes you feel like you are in the woods far away from the city. Speaking of cities, you are minutes from Chattanooga so you won't run out of things to do. No big complaints, just minor inconveniences. The toilet handle broke but I called and it was fixed. They left one trash bag for the kitchen and one bag for the bathroom trash. That clearly wasn't enough for a 5 night stay and we had to go out and buy some. The coffee pot didn't work but I cleaned and fixed it and we finally had coffee. And staying in the Thomas cabin you are close to the main road so you will have the constant hum of traffic. With that said, I enjoyed having a huge space to park and the extra privacy the cabin afforded because it was off by itself. All in all, I would highly recommend staying at this property. All of the staff were super nice and respectful and easy to get in touch with. Amanda was extremely nice and helpful during our stay. I recommend that anyone staying in the area stay here instead of a hotel. Our cabin, which was clean, spacious and modern, only cost $12 more per night than a decent hotel.

Great little cabin

Can sleep more than I'd like to have to entertain in such a small space. With kids(which it's probably made more for) it would be less of a problem as they'd play in the loft some and outside as well. Don't expect to sleep and entertain 6 adults in that space though. But we really enjoyed our stay there and would use it again even for just the 2 of us. Had everything we needed for our trip.

Great little cabin and location near Lookout Mt. and Ruby Falls!

Really well laid out cabin with plenty of space for everyone to sleep even though it is small. Whoever designed this place should get an award. Only negative was that our cabin was near the highway and there was an overpass that was loud. We scoped out the cabins down below for our stay next time as they are more secluded. Hot tub was nice and clean and the management even sent video instructions that were extremely helpful. We will definitely be back!

Adorable Little Cabin

What a welcoming place! The cabin was a perfect stop for our family on our way home. They provide everything you need to stay! The boys loved sitting in the hot tub and looking out. I highly recommend staying. We are already planning when we can come back!

We were surprised to find quite a lot of play area at this cabin where our kids could run and play without being right by the road. Everything inside was clean and well stocked. We were convenient to local attractions but it was nice to feel more remote. We will be back.

Highly recommended!

The cabin was a perfect size for 2 adults and 4 kids. It made for an extra little fun element to the trip that our lodging was more than just a hotel bed! The cabin was stocked with everything we could need and plenty of towels! The kids really enjoyed the playground and the road/train noise really wasn’t noticeable inside and at night!

Awesome “tiny home” experience. As stated in description it can be a little noisy with the highway next to unit and railroads close by. Unit is somewhat “drafty” and it takes the heat units a while to warm up. Overall a great experience with many things to do nearby.

I have loved world travels entire life though as father of 8 kids, having 3 in the past 3 years, our movements have been more limited of late. We love Chattanooga for too many reasons to list, but also cherish variety and the beauty so many places in the world have to offer.

As hosts, my wife is home alot with our 3 Littles (and 5 not so Littles in the summer) during the day, and we live on the same property as our offering. So you will find us responsive and accommodating and eager to share the treasures of our town and learn the treasures of your own. We know the trails, many waterfalls, parks, restaurants, and attractions of Chattanooga quite well and are willing to be a resource for our guests, offering an intimate knowledge of the area.

As a traveler, on business I tend to work, read and rest if I can, and prefer to travel with associates or family when I can. As a vacationer, I am eager to share and celebrate the diversity of creation and humanity with my family and to give them an explorers heart, a warmth for difference, and a bit of zeal for travel too. I prefer National Parks to cities, but cities carry their own attraction. I prefer mountains to beaches, forests to fields, and local to corporate or suburban.

This was an old trailer park. We saw great potential for it, as a gem of a natural setting so incredibly close to the city. We offer a natural escape right on Lookout by the beautiful city of Chattanooga with unique and modern rustic comfort for the perfect mountain side stay.

These cabins are so perfectly situated so close to the city, at the foot of Lookout Mountain just a short drive to all the tourist attractions and trails.
