Sunnyside Estate - Enorma, historiska Waterfront Family Home på 5 hektar. Dock med båtlyft också.

Sunnyside Estate är det perfekta familjeåterföreningshemmet.  Bo i den här historiska och charmiga, tidigare bed and breakfast-fastigheten - vid Oren Bay-sjön, som omfattar 5 hektar mark, 7+ sovrum, ett renoverat kök med helt nya kommersiella apparater, ett privat badområde, brygga, Sunstream-båt hiss och integritet.  



Beläget bara 7 minuter från centrala Sandpoint, byggdes det ursprungliga hemmet 1897.  Den rika historien och hantverket av den ursprungliga kullerstens uppfarten, liksom trägolv och trappor har bevarats.  Ett vintage viktorianskt utseende kombinerat med mitten av moderna sätter gamla och nya tillsammans till ett öppet solfyllt vardagsrum.  En separat inredd matsal med utsikt över marken och vattnet - eller äta utomhus på det stora teakbordet.  



Kommersiella köksredskap (nyinstallerade maj 2019) centrerar ett kök som utsetts med de bästa små och stora apparaterna, skarpa knivar för kocken och ett extra butlerspisar för matstorgage och prep.  



För en stor grupp - det viktigaste är att se till att du har tillräckligt med sängar, bad och rum för att njuta av tiden tillsammans, tyst tid och bra sängar med sängkläder för bra vila.  Detta hem har verkligen allt! 



De viktigaste våningen sovrummen innehåller två anpassade "bunk" rum för familjer.  Ett rum har 4 inbyggda tvillingar, den andra har 4 inbyggda tvillingar och en queen size-säng - sov 10 i sängar på bottenvåningen ensam.  På övervåningen finns ett sovrum med king size-säng i svit, ett 4 sovrum med 2 queen och ett kontor med bäddsoffa.  



En separat studio lägenhet ligger nära baksidan av hemmet och inkluderar en kung säng med lyxiga sängkläder, litet kök och badrum.  Ovanför lerrummet (belägen väster om butlerspiskan) är trappor som tar dig till ett enormt familjerum med biljardbord, nöjesområde med stor TV och en annan queen size-säng i svit.  



Utanför kommer alla att njuta av den platta, stora gräsbevuxna gården som leder dig till ett privat badinlopp på Oden Bay of Lake Pend Oreille.  Njut av soluppgångar till solnedgångar som barnen kör, leker och utforskar.  Ta med din båt eller hyra en och säkra det på Sunstream båtlyftan.  Oden Bay är en av de * bästa * vikarna för vattensporter - samt en ingång till allt det otroliga fisket som sjön har att erbjuda.

We had hoped we could easily pull a boat up to dock. Not only was it shallow there were rocks all through the access point.We had rented a boat and they gave us a map to navigate the entrance so to not damage the boat. It was so challenging that even I as a seasoned boater had a very difficult time.The water at the dock and beach was rough looking to the point you didn’t really want to play in it. All else was good- Daugherty was great, will not rent this property again because of dock area.

Location and communication were great. The lot is beautiful. The house is spacious, but not stocked well for a larger group. The water levels were very low and we were not notified of this even after making it clear we rented this home for a reunion and for lake access for two boats. Pricing was high compared to other properties with better lake access and commodities. Overall this is a nice property but be sure to confirm details before renting.

We understand that not being able to utilize the boat lift is not ideal, however we do mention in our lakefront listings that lift access is not permitted until lake levels are up to par - which is typically mid June until mid September. This is to prevent damage to the lift itself, as well as the boats. We hope that you enjoyed your vacation despite this.

Fantastic Rental for a Group!

We were disappointed with our stay, particularly given the significant price we paid for the property. Our three families travel to lake properties together every summer. The biggest issue was that the home and outdoor spaces did not match what we saw in the photos or understood from the description, and there was a general lack of upkeep with the property. The dock and outdoor furniture were weathered, and the yard looked very different from the green lawn shown in the listing photos. We also expected to be able to swim from the dock, something our kids very much look forward to each year, but were unaware of the marshy water conditions. It’s possible the outdoor area can vary significantly by season, but we felt the listing should more accurately reflect the conditions guests can expect.There were also some basic cleanliness and maintenance issues, including cobwebs/spiders in the bedrooms and a wasp nest on the exterior of the home. We were also missing a couple basic household necessities that we would expect to be provided upon arrival.The property management team was responsive and communicative, and everyone we interacted with was very friendly.

Christmas week at Schweitzer

Great week. Good location next to Sandpoint and easy access to Schweitzer for skiing. House had enough room with separate living spaces to host a larger family. A few items in the house need to be fixed (shower, garbage disposal, etc) but all in all great house!

Great place for big group

Each bedroom had it's own bathroom. And even the separate apartment didn’t require a walk outside, its attached through the garage so close by. And the rec room upstairs had a toilet room too.

Clean spacious inside Outside needs improvement

The inside of the house worked well with our group. The ample bedrooms and bathrooms were much appreciated. The kitchen worked out better than I thought it would. The outside shrubs and weeds need to be trimmed. And wasp nests, goose poop and patio furniture/area need maintenance

Family Senior Trip

The property was lovely and suited our 13 family members to a T. Separate spaces for teens in the group. Water was a little cold for water sports but we enjoyed the area very much - Sandpoint is very nice. We had 2 grandchildren graduate high school and we enjoy traveling together so we make it a family affair. Would love to come back here when water is warmer!!

The location, size and amenities of the house were fantastic! The only items that made the property a 4 out of 5 star were…the dishwasher, garbage disposal, and water in the bunk room didn’t work.

The inside of the house was great for our group. There were plenty of beds and bathrooms, lots of places to sit and relax, and the kitchen was stocked with enough dishes. The outside of the property was very disappointing, however. You can see from the pictures that this is a great place to be outside, but what it actually looked like was not what was advertised. We had to clean the outside areas before we could actually enjoy them, and the lack of upkeep of the yard was something we just had to deal with. We spent a lot of money to be able to enjoy the outdoors during our stay but don’t feel like we got what we were expecting.

Amazing home for multiple families

This house had everything 7 families needed for a great memorable soccer weekend!!! Almost every room has their own private bathroom, the kitchen is stocked with anything you could need to cook big meals. The location is perfect and quite and so peaceful!! The only thing we wanted to add is that it took us 3 hours to find the 7th Master King Suite on the main floor level. It's located from a door in the garage. Truly an amazing home for multiple families to have enough room for all!! We will definitly be renting this home again next year!!!

A fabulous week!

This house had all the space and activity a large group could ask for. We had adults, teens and kids who spent hours paddle boarding, bird watching - 3 bald eagles nest nearby, and playing in the yard and the game room. There were also two tiny new fawns who came through the property several times a day. The beds were comfortable and the area was very quiet. You quickly get used to the train which passes frequently. The sounds of the ecosystem are truly incredible. Buzzing, chirping, humming all day and night. Bullfrogs, osprey, eagles, cranes, - it really was magical. The lake is very quiet and tranquil. The cove isn’t the best for swimming because there is quite a bit of vegetation in the water but it is perfect for SUP. We rented a boat but found the channel into the property far too shallow and despite being extremely careful we did cause some minor damage to the prop of the boat so I wouldn’t recommend it. There is a large stretch that is only about 2 feet deep. Overall the trip was fantastic. 10/10 would do again!

Spacious and on the water, what a charmer!

This is a quirky but charming house. The private beach was perfect for spending time with our family by the water. The kitchen is truly stocked well (which is great!) but there was not a lot of room available for food storage. The beds were comfy and the house is very spacious, plenty of room for our large extended family vacation! We did have a few questions for the property management team and they were very prompt and friendly in helping us have the best possible stay. Five stars overall!

Almost perfect!

We really enjoyed our time at the house! It was very spacious and had all the rooms and bathrooms we needed, and obviously the view was great. A few issues we had that were inconvenient were: 1. The main kitchen stove didn't work (which we were made aware of ahead of time thankfully). Made meal prep for 20 people less efficient. 2. The gas furnace in the upstairs game room wouldn't work. Even talked through it with one of your people, but couldn't get it to work. We have a professional HVAC person in our group and he couldn't even determine the cause. Made that room cold, which relates to issue three. 3. Outlets in several bathrooms and bedrooms didn't work. This meant several people couldn't charge phones or use a hairdryer or plug in a space heater or a white noise maker for their kids to sleep, etc. 4. The house wasn't as clean as it could have been. Trash was found under some of the couches, and the dining room floor didn't appear to be swept. These things didn't entirely ruin the weekend by any means, but they were cause for some inconvenience on a weekend that was supposed to be a bit more stress free with all the necessary amenities available. I would definitely recommend this property to other people, and we may even use it again in the future. Especially if these things are addressed. Thank you!

Family vacation

A bathroom in every room was a big plus for our families. The property was absolutely gorgeous. The lake water was low, so we could not get a boat to the dock. I learned I should have made fishing boat tour reservations a couple months in advance. All in all a fantastic family vacation.

Great time.

Had a great time with family and friends. Plenty of room for everyone. Great view of the water. Dogs had fun running around in the yard. Missed a fire pit.

Mostly great.

Mostly great. We enjoyed the place. I really only have one small complaint. The heating systems were cumbersome. Little heaters (newer area cadets) were easy enough. We couldn't figure out bonus area. We loved the place and would go again. We'd love a hot tub next time!
