AprĂšs un peu de confusion, nous avons passĂ© un beau moment Ă  cet appartement. Vraiment propre et bien dĂ©corĂ©, cet appartement est vraiment au cƓur de Sarlat. Jour de marchĂ©: Sarlat s’anime et est vraiment plaisant Ă  visiter. À proximitĂ© de Lascaux, oĂč une visite s’impose. Le parking est un peu difficile d’accĂšs mais c’est correct.

Great location

This is a spacious, second floor apartment - close to all amenities. We were in Sarlat during a very hot period (40c) and despite the fans provided, it was very warm. Some form of air conditioning units would have been better. Overall, however, we were very pleased with our choice as it is less than 5 minutes walk to the centre. There is paid for parking very close to unload and other free parking within a short walk. Good value and well-maintained.

Comfortable in a great location

This was the ideal place from which to explore the Dordogne region. Plus it’s really good to be in Sarlat within easy walking distance to the market and restaurants. The apartment was clean and plenty big for the two of us, and the bed was comfortable. We chose the inside bedroom and it was very quiet. The kitchen was well enough outfitted, tho we bought a spatula and some ice cube trays to round out the utensils. The coffee maker is extremely slow—over 1/2 hour for an 8 cup pot. It should be cleaned or replaçed. They have a Nespresso type machine, but I didn’t see any pods. Three cautions: parking is at least a 7 minute walk, maybe longer during crowded periods, with short-term parking quite close for dropping off luggage ; you need to walk up 2 flights of stairs; and there’s no air conditioning. They have 3 good fans, and we were fine in average warm temperatures (low to mid 80s Fahrenheit). We never met the owners—they just sent us information on parking and how to get into the apartment. Fortunately, due to prior experience, we were able to figure out the laundry situation, but we would have appreciated if someone had been there to show us around.

Super emplcement

Appartement trĂšs bien situĂ© au coeur de Sarlat, idĂ©alement placĂ© pour les visites de Beynac, la roque gageac, etc etc voir mĂȘme Rocamadour. La rĂ©gion est superbe ! TrĂšs calme, trĂšs bien Ă©quipĂ©, ne pas passer Ă  cĂŽtĂ© !

Perfect Location

This was a perfect location for or trip to Sarlat-la-Caneda within easy walking distance to the old city center and the Saturday Market. The apartment was clean and appeared to be recently renovated, keeping all of its old-world charm. Would certainly stay here again if ever back in the area!

Truly the heart of Sarlat

The gracious owners met us at the door, advised us on many things, and welcomed our questions. The apartment is pictured, beautiful and maculate. And the location could not have been better: on the very edge of the medieval city center.

Medieval City Apartment

Excellent location for the city of Sarlat-la-Caneda and the many places of interest in the immediate area. Apartment was newly decorated and very clean. Other apartments in the same building appear to be in the process of being completed, together with an internal courtyard, but the work on these did not impair our stay. Our apartment would have benefited from air conditioning during an extremely hot spell of weather: being at the top of the building, the heat rose from below, and was also 'absorbed' by the slate-finished roof. That said, we obviously accepted that the temperatures were unusual, and the owners had provided fans for each room, which were appreciated. My wife and I would definitely recommend the apartment for anyone waning to visit the Dordogne region.
