The cab8n was filthy. My wife and I had to clean for an hour.The house is in great disrepair. The owner stated they are repairing between bookings. That is not accurate-it is in worse shape than last year when we were here.

The property was on a great location on the river. It was hypnotizing with the sound of the river. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Our main criteria was to stay at a pet friendly home on a creek or river that you can hear the water from the home, and we needed a grill and fire pit. This home fit the criteria perfectly. The host was very receptive to our inquiries and requests. The beds were comfortable and furnishings were nice. As the description says, the home is in need of some work / upgrades, therefore we were not expecting perfection. There definitely is a need for some cosmetic repairs in spots, and maybe some appliance upgrades. But don't let this deter you. The home was cleaned well and it is in a quiet location. My wife is a little OCD when it comes to cleanliness and she was satisfied enough that she is already considering a revisit with some of her friends. (One note of caution that should be listed in the description is the steep drop-off at the edge of the property into the creek. I am not sure if the creek is unusually low right now due to the drought, but it is a far drop if a pet or toddler got to close to the edge. It appears that most properties nearby were the same way)

Very nice. Deer just walk right up to you!

Super nice.love the rivers calming sound. Never seen so mane deer in my life. They seem to be use to people just sit their as you walk or drrive by. Very well stocked with utensils.

The cabin was clean and comfortable and the location was perfect for the purpose of this trip which was to relax and enjoy a quiet area. The beautiful views and sounds of the river was the perfect backdrop and the cabin was close enough to groceries and downtown Ellijay without losing the rustic appeal. We would love to book this again in the summer!

Fall Break Get-Away

Nice getaway. Cabin is clean but worn. We spent most of our time outside, enjoying the firepit and stream. Well stocked kitchen.

July Get Away

The neighborhood was great. The unit was clean and the beds were comfortable. We truly enjoyed out stay. Getting from the entrance gate to the unit was challenging. Lots of turns, lots of curves, and lots of deer.

A relaxing low-key weekend

The location on the river is lovely. It does require a decent drive into the resort which it is located within (10-15 minutes from the gate). The property is clean and quiet. The cabin has relatively basic appliance/finishings etc with some needed maintenance. The surrounding town has plenty of activities for a few days.

Wife 60th birthday weekend

Wonderful weekend at great cabin on river. Full length screen in deck over looking small Rapids with great sounds. Many deer, ducks, birds to watch. 2 bedrooms with new Mattress. Cozy Den good kitchen & baths. Will be back here.

Beautiful setting and relaxing vacation!!!

This cabin was wonderful! Absolutely beautiful setting, river right off the screen porch, could hear the sounds all the time. Fire pit to make a fire, so very relaxing ! Roads a little curvy getting to the cabin, but no problems. House was very nice. Had everything we needed. WiFi was great, no problems. Town of Ellijay had a very nice Ingles grocery store and many eating places to choose from. Would definitely book this rental again!!!

Beautiful river view

We stayed at the cabin for a birthday weekend. The cabin had everything we needed and was very cozy and comfy. The view to the river is breathtaking and the screened in porch is large and inviting. It was crazy cold outside so we were not able to enjoy the screened in porch, grill, or firepit but we loved the fire we made in the wood burning fireplace. Getting to the cabin was tough upon arrival but the host was available and helped us immediately. We want to come back in the summer or fall!

Cabin needs lots of repairs. Needs windows covering need toaster in kitchen and more dishes. Tub needs attention around seal. Screen porch has screen pushed out needs to replaced lots of rotten wood outside.

Best location in n the river

Very cozy cabin right on the river. Screened in porch to enjoy the sounds of the Rippling water. Nice fire pit close to river. Outside picnic table close to house. Very comfortable beds. Very clean when we arrived. Had most cooking supplies. Did not have a toaster, But we made bagels in the oven. Everything worked. Dishwasher, washer/dryer and TVs. Had a wonderful time. A lot of deer that came around all the time. Google Maps works perfectly for directions. Would love to go again.

Love this Cabin

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. We have stayed in many properties, but never 1 as clean as this one. This Cabin is very well equipped just like home. It’s so pleasant to hear the River while you seat outside or in the screen area. We sat there to enjoy our wine and played games another plus was the the deers come to see you everyday! For us is very important for the bed and the sofas to be very comfortable and they were great. At the same time the Cabin is very spacious, the closet, the Kitchen has a pantry, very useful. We had a few conversations with Melody, the owner and she is a beautiful person and very helpful. We will definitely stay there again, Thank you so much Melody & Luis for sharing your Cabin with us!

Homeowner descriptions are accurate

We arrived at night in the rain and did not have any trouble finding the property- we used google map and tested Waze; also had a copy of printed instructions. Waze was also accurate inside the resort. The street signage was good ( better than some cities I’ve been in.) Wildlife is plentiful and beautiful- thus the 10 mph posted speed limit. It takes about 15-20 min going in and out which didn’t bother us. The river and screen porch were the draw for us and didn’t disappoint- it was cool during our stay so mosquitoes were scarce. Our fire pit fires were limited due to the weather but they have a nice fire pit set up. The home was very clean and well stocked. The shower water pressure is good in both showers and both beds were very comfortable ( no rolling into each other) We enjoyed exploring Ellijay and Blue Ridge both towns offer good restaurants and unique shops We are looking forward to a return trip.

Time with dad/grandpa

We absolutely loved it! I am 57, my daughter 20 and dad 84. The location is so beautiful! And peaceful !!! We could not have been happier! It served its purpose. My 84 year old dad has not been himself since losing my mom last April. They were married almost 61 years. He smiled more, recited poetry again, he commented on the beauty several times a day. I saw joy in his eyes again. There are deer everywhere. The river is stunning and we had mallard ducks visiting us daily. The house is so quaint and cozy! The tv goes off line but if you unplug everything for 10 seconds and plug back in, go back to direct tv . It works fine. I am very experienced in driving winding, steep roads with many blind spots and hairpin turns so I do warn those that are fearful or have anxiety with this to take caution. There are no lights so at night you are pretty much in complete darkness on a very narrow road. My sister couldn’t make it. Also if you have anyone with a medical condition, it takes at least 15 to 20 minutes just to get out of the community from this location. This is just worth mentioning for anyone with issues to consider these Things. The cottage on the river is pretty perfect as far as we are concerned! Be sure to buy firewood because there wasn’t any when we arrived and we love to have a fire in fireplace or in fire pit.

A trip for relaxation. Morning coffee on the deck listening to the river flowing over the rocks and boulders. Deciding what to do this day. Short trips to a couple of vineyards, orchards, hiking trails and a couple of Ellijay community events. Had a wonderful time. Also took the Blue Ridge train ride again (4th time).

This was a great place to stay. The location on the river was perfect. There were cascades straight out from cabin that made beautiful river sounds that could be heard from the screened in porch. We had deer come really close to the porch, looking for a handout, I think.Terry and Cathy

This place was perfect! Off the beaten path and very secluded. I do hope they continue the repairs and upkeep. The view is amazing. Deer every night! Very quiet.
