Trädkantad strandlinje med sandbottensyta och bra fiske ... på 1300 hektar Tiger Cat Chain of 6 Lakes ... bra djurliv och kajakpaddling ... tjejer / golfresa! ... Stor höst / vinter hideaway också - PÅ snöskottsstig 14 & 19, nära Birkie XC Ski / Mt. Bike Trails & ATV spår .... och bra väg cykling, också! ! HIPP gömställe har något för alla. Perfekt för R & R. Mjuka äventyr finns i överflöd. Förutom bra bad, fiske, paddling, kajakpaddling, MTT-cykling, cykling, vandring, längdskidåkning, snöskoter och golf .... vi har också tillgång till bra shopping, restauranger, antikviteter mm Vi har rätt på Fall Color Tour # 1! Ta med din båt eller hyra en. Båt landning med (simning hål och rep swing) bekvämt nära! Båtramp / dam / simning hål & gunga = lätt promenad + lätt båtbar.

Stuguthyrning inkluderar användning av våra 2 kanoter, 1 kajak och 1 paddla båt - du betalar inte extra för någonting här! Dessa är bra för att utforska kedjan av 6 sjöar och sammanlänka vattenvägar (tänk "Wisconsin Everglades" ...) Eller portera runt dammen för tillgång till ett annat djurlivsområde!

Lake DETALJER: 2-nivå, dubbelsidig ceder. Övre nivå även med uppfart, linda runt däck. Lägre nivå närmare sjön w / stor 20 "x 40" däck w / sittplatser och en gunga. Medellång höjd (dvs stora vyer) ... Det finns 35 meanderande steg till sjön från den lägre nivån. Tänk på detta om du har barn och äldre gäster i gruppen. Det är i allmänhet inte en stor sak - men vet att vi inte är nivå med sjön.

Interiör: 2200 kvadratfot. Inredda i norr teman. Övre nivå har ett stort rum med öppen spis, välvda soffa, matplats och kök alla med utsikt över sjön. Sovrummet och bad, gäst sovrum och stora badrum är också på "övre" nivå. Lägre nivå strejk har stor familj / TV / spelrum + sovrum med drottning våningssängar, en tvättstuga och ett rymligt badrum. Det finns en utdragbar soffa i gillestugan lägre nivå.

LAKE / OMRÅDE: Lake hem sitter på 2 trädbevuxen tunnland på 200 tunnland Tiger Cat Lake ... som är en del av 1300 tunnland Tiger Cat Chain of 6 Lakes. Trädkantade fasad med en sandbotten badplats och sjön eldstaden. Bra fiskesjö! Stor plats för aktiva äventyr eller att luta sig tillbaka och slappna av. Kort på plats spår genom skogen. Vi är nära Birkie spår (miles av preparerade gräsbevuxna spår genom böljande kullar) Basketboll i uppfart, hästskor, fotboll och brädspel i massor. 300 + videoklipp och DVD-skivor (barn / klassiker / familj / action / romantik). Ja, vi har en videospelare!

Amazing Stay!

Hipp’s Hideaway was everything we could ever want in a vacation home. Spacious and clean bedrooms, the COMFIEST pillows, great views of the lake, and your own private dock for a boat. The only recommendation I have would be a TV in the main bedroom, but that’s just my preference. :)This was our 12th trip to Hayward and it wasn’t even over before we were planning our next one!

The property is just as described! The house was great, roomy and had everything we needed and more. We even played some family feud and other card games on our rainy day. It slept our group of 8 perfectly. It’s tucked away and very peaceful. The view from the house deck was beautiful, you could see the lake and the docks below. The docks and seating area down by the lake was also very nice and roomy. All of us could fish, swim and enjoy the lake. The canoes and Lilly pad were a hit with the kids. The owners were very responsive and helpful. Easy to work with! Overall we had a great family vacation!!

Our stay was very relaxing, great fishing, and lots of fun for the kids.

Location of this home is private with great views of the lake. We had all kinds of options for having fun in the water with our own sandy swimming area. Can't wait to go back!

Great getaway! We’ve been back two years now!

Great quiet lake and property with awesome swimming area for 6-11 year olds. We also rented a pontoon and enjoyed exploring the lake.

great place on flowage for fishing and R&R

great cabin (house) with nice up north decor with good access to lots of water for fishing and exploring on the tiger cat flowage. we had a great time here for our annual 5 guys & 5 night fishing outing!

Great Lake Property

This is a our second stay at Hipp's Hideaway. We like the house, the lake for swimming and kayaking, the nice nearby roads for biking, and proximity to Hayward area attractions.

Winter serenity

Our group enjoyed the peace and serenity with no one else around. Watching the deer as they made their way through in the evening. The fire place was our zen zone in the evening. It was the perfect environment for our meditations, conversation and time together.

Great cabin on a beautiful lake

This cabin accommodated all of our needs. Loved going out on the water in the canoes/kayaks and paddle boat! Just outside of Hayward which is a quaint little town! We will definitely be back!!

Great Summer Fun At Hipp’s Hideaway

Property was as advertised. Really enjoyed our time. Home was spacious and in good condition. Lake was beautiful. Had fun Kayaking/canoeing the flowage in all directions. The swim mat was a lot of fun as well.

Beautiful Spot

Hipps Hideaway was a perfect summer getaway. The house is so well cared for-nothing is forgotten! Our family enjoyed all the boats and the swim mat. So much fun jumping off the dock. Shawn was amazing-so responsive and full of information. Thank you!

Winter Stay at Hipp's Hideaway

This property was as advertised and worked well for my family, which included my wife, mother-in-law, and 3 young daughters. My daughters loved the "bear" room in the basement where they slept each night. Queen sized bunks! We skied out on the lake and explored the cove. Lots of fun.

great getaway

This is a nice house in the woods. Kids had a great time, fishing and swimming off the doc, while the adults enjoyed the kayak, and paddle boat. They installed AC, which we were grateful for because temps were up around 90. Beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was fully stocked. We would definitely come back!

Relaxing Fall weekend

Came to Hipp's Hideaway for a relaxing girls weekend. Fall colors were wonderful but rained first 1 1/2 days. That limited our time to canoe and not able to use either firepit. House was clean and comfortable. Communication with owner was timely and helpful. I would stay there again.

A True Northwoods Getaway!

A True Northwoods Getaway! Gorgeous Home with many amenities included. Everything you need to getaway from the day to day grind. The owners are very responsive and the place is very well kept. Beautiful quiet lake - my kids loved canoeing and fishing right from the dock. Campfires at night roasting marsh mellows and singing oldies. MEMORIES THAT WILL LAST A LIFETIME!

Perfect 40th Birthday!

From start to finish, the communication with Shawn was excellent. The place was perfect to celebrate my 40th birthday with my family and some friends. It's isolated, the lake is quiet, perfect setup for adult time on the deck at night, and a huge bonus was the Northern Lights and meteor shower. A quick drive to Hayward provides access to some nice restaurants and a nice Main Street, and we really enjoyed a quick 9 holes over at Big Fish Golf Course. Any time someone has asked how the trip went, there is only one word needed: AWESOME!

We are 5 women who play Pickleball together And have done several other getaways to cabins on a lake where we can bike the backroads or trails, eat too much and dodge the mosquitoes (this year) We each had our own bed and space… although I found the futon and mattress too soft and “form fitting”. The bunkbeds in the lower level need a ladder to the top bed. Only one of us Kayaked.. beautiful lake!

Weekend Relaxation Before Heading Back to School.

Over the Labor Day weekend, my family and I had an incredible and rejuvenating retreat at Hipp’s Hideaway. It was the perfect back-to-school getaway that turned out to be the highlight of our entire summer. True to its name, the cabin exuded a serene lake house ambiance, and the neighborhood was wonderfully tranquil and welcoming, with the delightful sound of chirping birds filling the air. The kids had a blast fishing off the dock, and the upstairs patio offered an exquisite view of the lake, creating the perfect setting for relaxation and unwinding. The cleanliness and spaciousness of each room in the house exceeded our expectations, and we were pleasantly surprised by the wide array of supplies provided with the rental. In addition, the host was incredibly communicative and amiable throughout our stay, which truly enhanced our experience. Our overall impression was beyond what we had hoped for, and we are truly grateful to the Hipp’s family for hosting us and providing such a memorable experience for my family and me.

Great getaway!

My husband, daughter and future son in-law stayed at Hipps Hideaway last week - July 2020. We had a fantastic time! The place is very clean with lots of places to hang out. We spent a lot of time on the upper deck which is kind of like being in a treehouse. I would sit in the mornings with coffee and a book and welcome the day. We would also have our suppers out on table with the umbrella. Usually, we like to eat out several times on our vacations, but due to Covid, we stayed in the majority of the time. I very much appreciated the fact that the kitchen was stocked with lots of cookware options and anything I needed to feed the family. We did some swimming, boating, and played games at the dining room table in the evenings. The furniture is comfortable and inviting. We had a really nice time! Thanks Shawn!

My husband and I bought Hipp's Hideaway for rental purposes in 2001. We had been in the rental business for 18 years in St. Paul, MN, and thought we'd try something more 'fun'. We were able to get in on the building process add many of the finishing touches ourselves. As we were seasoned vacaton renters, we were able to keep the needs of renters in mind. Our goal was ... and is.. to make you feel like it is YOUR place during your stay......

We selected Hayward as a great rental area, then looked at 31 properties. We were always drawn back to Tiger Cat Cove. Yes, it was strong in all the basic 'investment oriented' things... large wooded lot, good frontage, good sized lakehome, but also had an amazing serenity piece that the others didn't. Our guestbook at the cabin can attest to this as well... come check us out!

We were determined to invest in an area that would welcome us AND our guests, and Hayward fit the bill. There are tons of things to do right at the cabin, nearby, or in town. Great dining options abound. The superior water clarity into the fall, the sand bottom frontage, and the varied woods surrounding the property kept drawing us back. PLUS, as I emphasized above -- it had that special feel ~~~ that serenity piece. Grab a local wine, sit on the dock and listen to the loon calls.

Well paved backroads for walks and biking. Fun chain of lakes to explore +++ great fishing. Cabin comes with 2 canoes, a single AND a double kayak and a paddleboat. Rent a SUP or a pontoon or bring your own boat. U shaped dock great for tying up your boat.

Free evening concerts featuring the loons, accompanied by the bull frogs. Crickets will chime in as well. Occasional taps are played at sunset by a local vet who lives on the lake.
Suggested finale is to finish off your concert experience watching the dance & crackle of a lakeside campfire and take in the visual array of the evening stars and moon against the pitch black sky... Bring your flashlight it gets pitch black dark if there isn't a full moon ! Upper firepit has been added for those lazy nights...
