Stugan ligger på en höjd med utsikt över sjön - Det har totalrenoverats och rymmer 4-5 gäster (inte en festzon). Det finns ett stort däck med skärmad i solrum som bidrar till utrymmet. Utsikten är härlig med morgonsoluppgång och utsikt över sjön och mot Blue Mountain. Det ligger inbäddat i trädkanten - Ett nytt kök och nytt badrum .. Parkering för två bilar samt rum vid bryggan för upp till en tjugo fots båt - kanot och kajaker kan hyras intill. Den tillagda 16 x 12 däck med 10 x 12 skärmad i solrummet lägger till 120 kvadratmeter utedörren skärmad i rymden WOW !!! Dessutom ser BQQ-området precis utanför solrummet ut mot gräsmattor och sjön .. Detta är ett två sovrum med ett bra vardagsrum. - Det andra sovrummet är effektivt och har en våningssäng med en dubbelsäng för vuxna och en övre för bagage eller barn. Stugan är öppen och har ett nytt modernt kök - det finns ett nytt badrum med dusch - gästerna verkligen njuter av den unika miljön och sviten .. Detta är inte en festzon - Ja njut av några öl osv, men jag tolererar inte berusare och fester. Fastigheten bredvid är densamma - Ha kul - Bli inte full och dum - Charleston Lake Park ligger några minuters bilresa bort med en fantastisk strand - jag inkluderar ett park pass för dem som verkligen vill ha den sandstrandens badupplevelse. Tillträde här är perfekt för kanot / kajak - Liten båt .. Och "mjukt botten simning" .. The Sunrise Cottage ser över sjön och har sol hela dagen. och stjärnor på natten - Det finns gott om området runt stugan som stiger upp från stranden - En enkel promenad ner till den gemensamma bryggan Vardagsrummet har en soffa - stolar och matplats. Det finns ett fantastiskt kafé för frukost i slutet av körfältet - Och de säljer fiskeredskap och licenser samt bra glass .. En båtlansering är mycket nära och med arrangemang kan du parkera upp till en 18 fots båt ..

This small, humble, and tidy cabin easily met our needs for a short-term visit. Our host was welcoming and helpful. The grounds around the cabin were delightful. The mosquito netting around deck was very good idea. Cabin's location within minutes of the Provincial Park was perfect.

Had a great time at the sunrise cottage. Accommodations and amenities (restaurant, supplies and boat rental just across the road) were much appreciated. The lake was the big highlight as it reminded us of what we’d find at Algonquin, but less than half as far from Montreal.

The cottage was rustic and well-maintained with all the necessary amenities to make our stay comfortable. Greg was kind, easy to communicate with, and extremely helpful. This cottage is very close to Charleston Lake Provincial Park, and we made great use of the park pass that was included with our stay. We are grateful for Greg's hospitality and would love to return in the future.

Excellent place to stay

The host was amazing. The cabin was very clean. The host was available if you required assistance and was very informative about the area and things to do. I would say he goes above and beyond.

I hate to admit but I was so disappointed with our weekend. We were there to grieve the death of a family member and wanted relaxed private time. The property was pretty but the pics were so deceiving!!! We had zero privacy; no curtains in any doors or windows that faced the owners property. There was no easy trail down to a rickety old dock and the water in shore was horrendous. There is a gas stove that I have never used and nearly blew myself up. The property is not good for anyone with mobility issues or small dogs…..500 all in for the 2 nights and one day….

Great Getaway

This is a great property at the Outlet, on Charleston Lake. We stayed in the smaller cabin and it was perfect for our getaway. Cabin is clean, well stocked with cooking essentials, fresh linens, fire pit and a beautiful view of the lake. Our host was fabulous. Great spot at the end of the laneway for snacks/icecream, breakfast and much more. Our only regret is that it was only a short staycation/recharge. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful property and very friendly helpful hosts… there’s so much wildlife, Barred owls and loons were calling at night, chipmunks everywhere, turtles and herons. The cottage is quite rustic, a typical family cottage with wonky linoleum and unfinished ceiling but we consider that charming - the place smelled nice and was impeccably clean, and the bed was very comfortable - we especially enjoyed sitting out on the screened deck playing board games. Also appreciate having all linens and supplies provided, so it felt a bit like a camping holiday with all the amenities on hand and no prep needed. Nice privacy with a large old children’s camp mess hall separating the cottage from the owner’s home. We really enjoyed our stay!

Perfect getaway spot!

This quaint little yellow cottage is the ideal stay for anyone looking to getaway from the hustle bustle of life and get back to basics. Perfectly located on Charleston Lake, bordering the breath taking Provincial Park and just down the road from the sweetest little rural town of Landsdowne that has all the basic needs. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to explore nature during the day, be it hiking, canoeing, fishing, swimming, paddling or anything else and relax by a cozy campfire under the stars, listening to the loons at night. We had a wonderful time! Greg was a fantastic host and look forward to our next stay.

Cozy cottage for 2 adults

The cottage is small and more suitable for 2 adults, not 4. However cottage has everything you need during your stay. Comfortable bed in master bedroom. 2 level bed in other room needs to be lubricated so it doesn't squeak. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, weather was perfect, lake was full of fish :)

Nice rustic cabin in a beautiful spot

We enjoyed staying at the cabin, very convenient location, beautiful outdoor area and nice patio, our host showed us around and gave tips how to navigate. Appliances are old but working just fine, the beds are super comfortable, great deal for the price.

Cute rustic cottage with everything we needed

This cottage was exactly as listed and came complete with everything we needed for our stay. Greg, our host was very personable and helpful. He kindly provided us with a gift of fresh vegetables upon arrival. He was also very accommodating with providing space and an extension cord for our boat. We had heavy rainfall during our stay and he provided a place for us to dry out our boat cover. We look forward to returning at a future date.

Sunrise cabin

The cabin was a little more rustc than i expected. However the bathroom was in good working order & had plenty of hot water. Could use more window coverings. The toaster oven need to be cleaned. Need to be aware that The walk to the boat dock is a steep incline. Greg was very nice & hospitable. Thank you!

Stayed July 8 - 12, 2024

We had a lovely stay at the yellow cottage! Fireflies at twilight and the wonderful bird songs throughout the day. So peacefu. The Lake was calm and great for fishing! Greg was extremely helpful with info about loal hotspots (Twists for ice cream and breakfast) as well as historical information about the property. Greg is an amazing host!

Early bird saw the sunrise a few times.

It is a cottage, well organized by Greg. Everything needed for kitchen was there and more. Made possible for my wife and l to enjoy are staycation and relax. My step daughter and a good friend of hers joined us and also enjoyed their stay. Greg thank you for being such a great host. Will be back.

Little Cottage on the Lake

I grew up going to this lake and really enjoyed my stay in this little rustic cabin. We had a lake view and access to the dock; enjoyed drinking coffee while watching the sun rise and hearing the loons call. We enjoyed our host Greg and invited him for a drink one night. This place is near to many gorgeous hikes and you can rent a canoe at the end of the lane and hop into the lake. There's a good liquor store and grocery store within 10 minutes and a cool brewery within 20. I'd stay there again!

Quiet and homey

We enjoyed our stay. We were 3 people staying and the rooms accommodated us perfectly. The tin roof was the perfect cherry on top at night when it was raining.

Lovely rural getaway

The cottage is a delight: impeccably furnished and with a complete set of cookery, towels, pillows. Greg was there to greet us, but not intrusive. The included admission to Charleston Provincial Park was a gateway to hiking/ swimming/ nature and is a real bonus. The lake path at the cottage would be challenging to some, and the swimming is pretty reedy. But that's a minor cavil.

I have been hosting five years and guests give me good reviews - I try and maintain the highest ratings - We cannot please everyone and that is always disappointing as we try. I consider this almost a small hotel with the main house suite - the newest small unit "The Office" and this unit The Sunrise Cottage . All suites are a distance away from each other providing privacy and the host is onsite to attend to guest requests ..

The added 16 x 12 deck with 10 x 12 screened in sun room adds 120 square feet of out door screened in space WOW !!! Plus the BQQ area just outside the sun room looks over lawns the lake .. This is a two bedroom space with a good living area.- The second bedroom is efficient and has a bunk bed with a double lower for adults and an upper for luggage or children. The cottage is open and has a new modern kitchen - There is a new bathroom with shower - This is my fourth suite created for Air BnB and guests are really enjoying the space - It is a unique space that has an aspect of privacy nested into the trees with ample play area around it .. This is not a party zone - Yes enjoy a few beers etc but I do not tolerate drunks & parties . The property next door is the same - Have fun - Do not get drunk & silly - Charleston Lake Park is a few mins drive away with a great beach - I include a park pass for those who really want that sand beach swim experience . Access here is ideal for canoe / kayak - Small boat ..And "soft bottom swimming" ..

We offer Parking at the cottage for two cars - Canoe and boat rentals can be arranged next door . There is a fabulous coffee shop for breakfast at the end of the lane - And they sell fishing gear and licenses as well as great ice cream .. A boat launch is very near and with arrangements you can park up to an 18 foot boat ..
