Quiet, relaxing and prefect!

The home was a perfect layout and size for our vacation. Every room in the home was clean and well put together. The pool was cleaned and well maintained, we loved relaxing in the back! The neighborhood was quiet even though it was by the beach and Armand Circle. We’d definitely rent again. Can’t say this enough, loved the pool and outdoor patio. Thank you for allowing us to stay!

We loved our stay at this home. It was very clean, well stocked with pool towels and all the supplies you need for the beach. The kitchen has lots of pots, pans and essentials to enjoy grilling outside. The Weber grill worked great and the outside area has plenty of seating and umbrellas to relax after the beach. The pool temp was divine! We hope we can come back again soon.

It was a beautiful property

This was perfect for our family group. The kids loved the pool and there was lots of space inside as well. The bedrooms are large and there’s three bathrooms, which is great when you have that many kids with you. The owners were very communicative and very helpful.

Perfect Beach Experience for large family

Perfect location

We couldn't have asked for a better location. It was a two minute walk to a beautiful beach and a five minute walk to a large variety of shops and restaurants. The house is wonderfully decorated and has lots of amenities from a fully stocked kitchen to everything you need to go to the beach. Very quiet neighborhood. Deb was a great host and we would definitely recommend this property.

Beautiful home and beach

Home was beautiful and totally remodeled . The bedrooms are large and the furniture was comfortable . Everything you need was available including a well appointed kitchen and even beach toys, chairs. The beach was a short walk, past two houses , down a path and across the dunes to every wide quiet beach.

One of a kind

Having found and enjoyed this place, we’re completely spoiled. When it was booked for the next time we wanted to visit, no other place came close. Beach close, pool, backyard privacy, everything you need. Owners quick to respond to any issues. It feels secluded, but is close to everything.

Another Great Stay!

I stayed at Pelican Cottage this past February. This is my third time renting it and it won't be my last. The house is well stocked with everything you'll need and the location can't be beat (leave the car parked and walk to St. Armand's and the beach). All that being said the best part of renting Pelican Cottage are the owners Deb and Ed. They are terrific people! I'm counting down the day until my return.

A Great Place

The house was clean and ready for us. The AC worked very well indeed. The location and access to the beach was such a plus. Great location

The location of this house is fantastic. Fairly minor problems including questionable items on one bed and very stinky slow drains in one bathroom. The host was responsive and apologetic, which is appreciated. We generally had a very nice stay and the house is as advertised.The kids loved the pool. We had 10 people stay and it was surprisingly spacious and comfortable.

Another great vacation in Lido Key

My wife, children, and their significant others have been going to Lido Key for many years. This is our first time staying at this cottage. We love the area and have stayed in the same neighborhood previously. The cottage is great. Beds are comfortable, close walk to town and the beach. The beach toys and equipment were far above what is typically found in a vacation rental property We will definitely be going back. We had one small issue and the owner was very easy to reach and took care of the problem quickly

Wonderful House

The location is amazing. You can walk to the circle and to the beacg. The house is equipped with a great wagon and toys for the kids. We had a colder week but the pool was super warm so the kids swam everyday. There is lots of space for everyone. Virtually no negatives about this house.

Perfect little getaway

This cottage was just what we needed for our family. The space was super clean, the extra amenities helped make beach time perfect and our hosts were very welcoming. We walked everywhere we wanted to go. We split between meals out and dining in and I found everything we needed to cook. I wish we had more time to ride bikes and explore the entire key.

Great location. Great home. Pictures don’t do it justice - family that arrived before us called while we were a few miles out and said to go ahead get ready to be surprised. My in-laws rented the property next door which was super convenient for our large family and we had plenty of room. It made for a trip we won’t forget. So much fun. Being able to walk to St Armands Circle was the icing on the cake. Beautiful beach, pool, amenities..too much to list. We look forward to booking this property again.

Awesome house & great location!!! A+ Experience

We had a FANTASTIC week this week at Pelican Cottage. Very clean w/ WONDERFUL equipment provided for the beach by the homeowners. We loved the near proximity to St. Armand’s & our kids took advantage of the 3 bikes provided for guest use. The beach path to the actual beach is significant in length - far more than 30-m from the house. However, for most people it is easily navigable. We would definitely LOVE to return to this location on the future!

Today, our parents live just down the road and we split our time between Lido Key and our home in Ridgefield, CT. We enjoy and love our two family beach cottages, which we have named Lido Pelican Cottage and Lido Flamingo Cottage. We look forward to sharing them with you!

Lido Key (and Sarasota), Florida has just the right combination of incredible beaches and sunsets, terrific dining, shopping and entertainment, and an impressive cultural community with fine arts, opera, ballet, museums and gardens.

Lido Pelican Cottage is just the right size for family and friend gatherings with so much to do within walking distance of the home. This is the perfect vacation spot for the family and friends with multiple and diverse interests!

Expertly outfitted for your comfort, you can grab the beach buggy, load up the chairs, toys and towels and walk down the sand dune path to the beach, OR you can stroll to St Armands Circle, where you can shop, grab a burger or enjoy fine French, Columbian, Asian Fusion or fresh seafood dinner , get ice cream, listen to live music, dance under the stars and enjoy the seasonal festivals that come to the Circle OR you can grab one of the three bicycles and ride around Lido Key, Longboat Key, or even cross the bridge to Sarasota. You can also ride to the other side of Lido Key, where you can rent kayaks and take a guided tour through the mangroves, spotting manatees, dolphins, rays and lots of fish and crabs that live in the bay. Jet skiing rental is also available close by.

Close by is the world renown Mote Aquarium (also on Lido Key!), downtown Sarasota (which has blocks and blocks of dining, shopping, live music, outdoor dancing, etc.), and Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. Of course there is also the Ringling Museum, the world ranked Ringling school of art and design. Several playhouses, opera house, ballet company, and impressive shows at the Van Wetzel!
