Känn din stress upplösas när du kopplar av på däck och ser örnar sväva och blå häger fiskar på grunt. Vårt vackra hem med 5 sovrum vid vattnet sover 11 i sängar plus 2 på den utdragbara soffan. Det är perfekt för flera familjesemester eftersom huset har 2 kök, 2 badrum, 2 vardagsrum, 2 övre däck och ett stort undre däck. Huset ligger på en 1 hektar stor fastighet och vi har ett angränsande 19 tunnland skog. Vi har ett stort kök, vardagsrum / matsal med öppen takbjälkning. Det rymliga främre sovrummet har en king size-säng, tillgång till däck och en fullständig utsikt över floden. Det bakre sovrummet sover 3 i en våningssäng över hela sängen.
Milburn Orchards är en rolig plats för både barn och vuxna när som helst på året, men särskilt under hösten. (12 miles-20 minuter)
Hollywood Casino, Marylands första kasino, ligger bara 5 miles från oss på Rt. 222 & I-95
Se Aberdeen Ironbirds Baseball, medlemmar i singel-A Short-Season NY-Penn League spela i mitten av juni till början av september. Ironbirds spelar på Ripken Stadium precis vid Aberdeen-avfarten från I-95, cirka 13 mil från strandhuset.

Weekend visit

We really enjoyed our stay! Property was comfortable for a large group and was true to its description online. The host also provide extremely detailed instructions which made the check in and check out processes seamless. Would absolutely recommend!

Down by the (Chesapeake) Bay!

"Oh, down in Chesapeake Catching rock around fishing creek The soft-shell crabs play hide and seek Down in Chesapeake." We LOVE the Chesapeake area and have stayed up and down the bay, mostly midway and lower. This area on the upper bay is so close to Philadelphia and, although there are tourists around like us, it doesn't feel touristy unless you go into North East, downtown (which is still worth eating a meal or getting ice cream in that cute little town)! Our stay felt private, and we had plenty of room for the maximum amount of people. The view and the sunrise are amazing! Although I struggle with beds in vacay spots, my husband and I LOVED the mattress on the bed in the first floor master bedroom. The house is homey, and it is laid out well so that we could all be in the same room. We had all the pots, pans and grill equipment we needed to cook several meals. E.B. is congenial, and it was easy to work with him and get into the home. We had a minor issue, and he responded immediately! We look forward to returning to our next stay...down by the bay! :) Thanks, E.B.!

Love coming back here!

This is the second time my friends and our dogs have stayed here. We absolutely LOVE the time we get to be out of the city to relax, swim, drink, and watch our dogs enjoy country/water life. EB is a great host and is always so accommodating and communicative. We can’t wait until next summer!

Awesome weekend vacation near nova

This is our 3rd visit at this cute and quiet place around DC / NOVA area.Perfect for kids and adults alike for water activities . The water is perfect height both in low and high tide . We got our inflatable boats and kayaks and had a blast . The house is well stocked and EB is a great host indeed !

Impeccable

Beautiful home and property. Was quite lovely. Quiet, peaceful, exceptionally welcoming. Host was wonderful. Enjoyed the views inside and out. We were boating swimming fishing and soaking up the sunshine. Enjoyed docking up at the bars&restaurants nearby. Would’ve loved to have stayed longer. Short but incredibly sweet :)

Great Family Time!

Three generations from PA, CO and VT all converged on the "Top of the Chesapeake" and had a lovely time. This is a stellar place for bird watching since it's between a creek and the upper Bay ("river".) Kayaks were a hit with 12 year olds and their parents. The owner's very reasonable rules and guidelines were so easy and he was available for help. Highly recommend this place!

Wildlife galore, so nice and peaceful

This house setting was a little slice of paradise. We saw a beaver swimming, blue herons, eagles, ducks in the water and yard. Would definitely come back again.

Beautiful home in serene location

Cannot say enough positive things about this beautiful home. Location on the water is scenic and relaxing. Floor plan is amazing for a large group upstairs and down. Home is outfitted with every necessity. Such a nice touch to have a lit Christmas tree awaiting us. Our adult children have already requested a redo here for next year. Grateful for wonderful memories made.

Great Fall Stay by the River!

My husband and I come to the area at least once a year. This year our family stayed for the weekend and he and I spent 2 days alone. The house was amazing, campfire, cooking together, time spent in North East. Lots of good conversations and laughter! Our 2 year old grandson said "I had fun.... at river house!" We would stay at this house again. Thanks E.B. for making it a wonderful stay.

Great spot!

This house is great! Right on the water, quiet neighborhood, big house with lots of space! Beds were comfortable, beautiful views of the water even from inside the house. Host communicated everything you would ever need to know clearly in email ahead of check-in and printed at the house- very good communication! We would definitely stay here again!

Lovely family get-together

We enjoyed our second stay at this beautiful house on the bay. We particularly enjoyed watching the bald eagles fishing in front of the house and seeing the sun and moon rising over the water. Lots of space for everyone to spread out and yet big enough tables for everyone to sit down as a family. Thank you for the memories.

Wonderful location

It was a wonderful location with a gorgeous view. There was plenty of space for all 13 of us but the house does need some updating. The biggest addition to the property that I would recommend would be a dock. The host was very nice and accommodating.

Great location for our family gathering

My 3-generation family of 9 had a great time overall at this house. It is roomy, comfortable, and well-stocked with almost everything needed for an enjoyable stay. The owner’s helpful suggestion of a fresh crab meat source gave us the opportunity to have amazing homemade crab cakes for several dinners. The four under-10 kids in our family had lots of fun in the nicely-shallow water and little beach at the house, and we all enjoyed the quiet surroundings, beautiful views, and shorebirds. The only reason for the loss of a star in my opinion was the condition of the deck surface: we did not realize until my young grandson had gotten a painful splinter that the deck should not really be walked on barefoot.

Great stay and great location.

We had an awesome time with our friends and our kids who were between 2-11 years of age . EB is a great host , prompt in responding and check in was very smooth . Kitchen is well stocked . Our kids enjoyed the knee deep water all through the day , kayaked and we had also got our inflatable boat to do fishing . Overall great stay and will come back again .

This was our second time staying at this house, it’s great for our large group that gathers every year for a holiday vacation. Clean, spacious, with plenty of options to keep us busy. The view and access to the water make it even better.

Chesapeake Bay

Our family of 12 fit very easily in this beautiful home on the water! The teenagers loved swimming in the bay. The water is chest deep for about 50 yards into the bay. There is a lot of rocks close to the beach so if you have sensitive feet, water shoes are recommended. The house had a large table that sat all 12 of us around. We enjoyed local crab, oysters and shrimp. All of this was able to be cooked at the house. There were small issues with the house before our arrival and the owners went above and beyond to fix the issues so we wouldn't be uncomfortable for a moment! We enjoyed meeting them and would highly recommend this vacation spot!

Relaxing place on the water

A group of 7 friends gathered here for a weekend away from the city. We especially enjoyed the waterfront views, watching birds and boats on the bay. The house was spacious, clean, and well-appointed with essentials. We all want to go back!

We enjoy the waterfront and wanted a property we could share with others. It's within walking distance from my house so I can check on it easily. It was also my best-friend from elementary school's house, so it has a lot of memories for me.
