Tamarca Hollow, A Nature Retreat

Välkommen till Tamarca Hollow, A Nature Retreat! Vi är avskilt transporthus reträtt ligger i de dolda kullarna i västra NC. Ett 700 sf utrymme (ovanför vårt garage) fullt utrustat med alla bekvämligheter i hemmet .... men utanför nätet! Enheten har ett komplett kök, endast badrum med dusch, queen size-säng i sovrummet, en drottning bäddsoffa och en extra dubbelsängsäng. Det finns ingen wifi / cell eller tv-signal nere i hålen, men det finns en tv med massor av bra filmer, musik-CD, spel, kort och pussel. Vi är 30 minuter till närmaste stad! I vår kurs ingår en enkel långsam spismåltid som är redo för dig på ankomstdagen. Kylskåpet är också fyllt med enkla grundläggande frukostartiklar (ägg, juice, yoghurt / pålägg, färsk frukt etc.) Och av. kurs kaffe, som vi steker oss, te & kakao. Vi är undangömda i ett hål på nästan 10 tunnland hårda träd och två bäckar ... helt avskilt! Vi har klippt i en krets på 1/4 mil i våra skogar för en vandring eller jogging eller bara satt oss ned vid den kaskade bäcken och njut av naturens ljud. Vi är hundvänliga, men din hund måste vara snäll mot vår! Vi har 3 intakta hanhundar, en yorkie och 2 vuxna irländska varghundar. De är mycket vänliga milda jättar som strövar fritt på vår egendom.

What a delightful place. Not only the amenities and local foods for breakfast, but the owner is amazing with communication and hospitality. Will definitely be back when we return to visit our daughter and her family who live in the area.

Wonderful place!

Marc and Tamara were wonderful and their property is beautiful. Tamarca Hollow was exactly what we were looking for. So peaceful, beautiful and relaxing. A short walk to the creek was perfect and you can also hear the creek while waking in the morning and while winding down on the deck at night. Wonderful hosts! So glad we were able to stay here.

Peace and Rest!

I highly recommend a stay at this beautiful hollow! I cannot express how exceptional the attention to detail was- right from initial communication with Tamara and Marc, to the lemon infused water chilled in the fridge! The place was beautiful and clean. The bubbling creek can be heard as you fall asleep, or sit on the porch with a morning brew. We enjoyed a toured walk through the forest on the property with Marc. Then took a beautiful hike to a waterfall that Tamara recommended. All in all, a perfect getaway which we will be sure to return to!

Mini resort get away

Tamara and Marc have a beautiful above garage apartment that has been well taken care of. The extra touches they add make your stay like you are at a resort. Such a treat staying here for a weekend and escaping the rushes of every day life.

Great Get Away

Loved the location and the set-up of the carriage house. The DVD collection was a super treat for us. Any glitches with communication were probably due to internet connections . Marc and Tamara were superb hosts !

Mountain Oasis

If you’re looking for an off the grid mountain oasis, this is your place! We are so jealous that Tamara and Marc get to wake up to this everyday! Their property is GORGEOUS! Tamara and Marc were also very flexible with us as we had to reschedule our trip dates. They are unbelievable hosts, too! They left an amazing summer salad, bread, cookies, yogurt, wine, cheese, crackers - you name it! They even left little dog treats for our boy! They took us on a tour of their property and then let us roam freely. They left hammocks for us to swing in and it was so peaceful and just what we needed! The house is super clean and just the perfect cabin feel! We loved listening to the frogs sing at night and just be at peace with nature. Tamara and Marc have the coolest dogs, too, who just loved our little man! We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to visit again! :-)

Beautiful, clean, comfortable, nature retreat

We had a wonderful weekend at the Tamarca Hollow. The space was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. We loved exploring the property and going to the community lake/hiking trail that was only a 5 minute drive down the street. Tamara and Marc were awesome hosts who were quick to respond to any question we had and had an amazing dinner for us the first night along with tasty breakfast essentials in the fridge. We couldn’t have asked for a better relaxing weekend getaway! I highly recommend this place and we will definitely be coming back to make more memories!

We are Tamara & Marc. We moved to the hills of western North Carolina after 21 and 35 years in Alaska. Marc retired after 31 years working with the TransAlaska Pipeline and North Carolina became our new home. We are avid outdoors people. We have 2 fur-kids who take up lots of our time. The 2 dogs are a yorkie (Farley) and an adult male Irish Wolfhounds. (Charley) They roam our property freely and are the masters of their domain! They are gentle giants and sweet big boys...Charley is a rescue and is quite skiddish of new people but usually warms up in time. We love being down in the hollow, secluded, off the grid and away from the rest of the world!

This property is just about perfect! Nearly every house in this gated community is built right near the street because people want the views. We built down in a hollow where our view is trees and creeks. We've cut in a 1/4 mile circuit trail in our forest for a daily walk in the woods or a jog for a hellava workout! Those hills are no joke! There are quiet serene secluded rhodo thickets near the cascading creek that is the perfect place to just breathe....lay in a hammock, read/write and enjoy a glass of local mead or wine. Autumn in the hollow is just the most beautiful magickal time! The canopy of tree colors as the season changes makes for a photographers paradise!
