My wife, Kathryn, and I stayed at Villa Silvia in Kalamitsi Alexandrou between 3rd and 17th of June, 2022 and the whole Andrianaki family, at various points, made us feel so welcome. Argyro made the admin side very easy - she quickly responded to our questions by e-mail or phone.
On our arrival we were given a warm Greek welcome by Argyro and her parents, who were gracious enough to wait for us, at the villa, until the wee small hours, despite our plane being delayed, to ensure everything was to our satisfaction.
Kathryn and I have been coming to Greece for over 40 years and, wherever else in the world we travel, we always wish we were in Greece. It's our spiritual home!
Over the years, society has changed - particularly in the U.K., and we continually search for that special, gentle, laid-back Greece we discovered all those years ago. Well now we have!
Usually, we say "Never go back because you'll never find the next special place again." We've changed our minds after visiting Kalamitsi Alexandrou: we WILL be back!
The villa is exactly as described, from the facilities to the location, to the friendliness of the locals. The only thing that isn't fully described is the beautiful panoramic view from the upper balcony - particularly in the evening. Watching sunsets over the hillsides beyond the olive groves, whilst being able to gaze to the left at the imposing Agia Triad (Holy Trinity) church in the village then to the tiny family chapel on the right was sheer bliss.
On the practical side the villa was spotlessly clean; linen and towels were of a good quality; the regular housekeeping was to excellent standards; the wi-fi was reliable; and there was plenty of clean and safe poolside and patio furniture.
Unrelated to the villa, visitors can look forward to a warm welcome at the village taverna "Kolymbos", which is within easy walking distance along a well lit road.
