I enjoyed the pool. The property was in good shape. There was a challenge with the AC in one room and the toilet outside by the pool. The host did inform me of that challenge and called someone to fix it.

Communications with the host before and during the stay was fantastic. Smooth check in \ out process. Very clean and well equipped and maintained. Property manager is within 5 minutes reach for any issue. Location is close to famous beaches and shops. Would definitely recommend

The property was exactly as described and provided an extremely comfortable and relaxing place to return to after a day of enjoying the beauties of Barbados. We cooked quite a lot and really enjoyed the convenience of having a bbq by the pool, not to mention the idyllic ocean view, the gentle breeze and that hammock! We rented a car, which was necessary for all our exploring and beach-combing. It was simply a great, worry-free family vacation; many thanks to Jan, our responsive and kind host! We hope to return again!

A wonderful find – relaxation, location and hospitality!Our small family group of three adults honestly cannot express just how delighted we were to find Hummingbird Villa. From our very first contact with the owner, through to meeting Jan, the property manager, everything was just amazing. Nothing was ever too much bother, and we felt welcomed and looked after from the start. The villa itself was everything we could have hoped for – comfortable, peaceful and the perfect place to simply relax and enjoy Barbados. And the location,well, well, well! Absolutely lovely. There is something very special about being away from the hustle and bustle and being able to properly unwind and enjoy your surroundings. We had no problems during our stay; the only minor challenge was us getting to grips with some of the technology, particularly operating the TV! Jan was wonderful and always happy to help. If I had to mention one thing for future visitors, it would be driving at night. We Bajans like to say Barbados is only 166 square miles, but when you're negotiating country roads, potholes and those dazzling LED headlights, the journey can feel considerably longer! It was a little daunting at first, but we did it, and it certainly wouldn't stop us returning.Hummingbird Villa no. 8 was a real gem of a find. The three of us, looking for somewhere lovely to stay and left feeling that we'd found somewhere we would happily return to.Relaxation, location, hospitality- highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hummingbird House. We needed a break from life to relax and this is was exactly what we got with this property. We loved sitting on the covered patio, watching the blue ocean waters and listening to the sound of the surf. The accommodations worked perfectly for us and our guests, with refreshing breezes every day. It was great to be able to jump into the swimming pool whenever we got hot. While the location was great for relaxing, it was some distance from the nearest shopping and restaurants, so a car was a necessity. The only thing I missed was a toaster.We would definitely recommend this stay to anyone.

Great stay!

Really nice stay that is a four minute walk to Bottom Bay Beach. Jan was a great host and the place was very relaxing.

Home away from home

The villa was very nice with all the amenities, and the pool was a plus. Ms. Jan was so helpful and we really enjoyed ourselves. We highly recommend the villa and hope to stay there on our next visit.

We have had an amazing 2 weeks at this Villa, no complaints at all. We have spent our days lazing by the pool and enjoying the breeze. Jan has been on hand with help when needed, but to be fair this is my fourth time staying in Atlantic Risings. We met Maria the housekeeper who was a lovely lovely lady in looking after us. Sad to be going home from our holiday but will definitely be returning. Thanks for an amazing holiday at a beautiful villa.

Cozy home for a weekend getaway!

Perfect place for a weekend getaway. House was clean and comfy. We loved spending our afternoons relaxing poolside and evenings on the patio. Loved that it was off the beaten path. Bottom Bay Beach was a 5 minute walk and absolutely stunning in person!

Welcomed the moment wr arrived. Everything was explained on arrival. There were so basics such as bread & milk etc which was great after a long flight. The villa was very peaceful, clean & well equipped with everything we needed as a family of 4. The air con in the bedrooms worked really well. Big bathrooms , plenty of space through out & comfy lougers by the pool, plus the hammock with sea view. We loved the location for exploring the island, nothing seemed too far. We hired a car although there are bus stops near by We had a late flight back & was fortunate to stay until we needed on the last day which was brilliant.I would recommend staying at Hummingbird House, we had such a fantastic family Christmas here.

Our first trip to Barbados

We loved our stay at Hummingbird Villa! We could open the doors for a fresh breeze off the ocean! The beach was just a walk away and it is a stunning beach! The house was perfect for us and not too far from all the things we wanted to do on the island!

Overall property was clean , beds were comfortable but needs to be elevated from the floor the villa I’ll give a ten we really enjoyed the privacy.I highly recommend for stays

Hummingbird stay

Minor hiccup with checking in but was sorted out. Jan was very pleasant. Place was nice and clean. My family enjoyed our stay. Recommend having a vehicle to stay here thought. We also had the pleasure meeting a puupy and baby 🐒

Humming Bird House

Nice out of the way home in a quiet street, we had a great time in the pool after a long day in the sun. It is out of the way of the touristy areas of Barbados. Which we loved, house was clean, area was quiet great place to unwind.

Great Getaway

It was great! You do need a car though. Everything we wanted to do was 30-40 min away. But it was peaceful and Bottom Bay Beach was great. Never crowded

Great stay in a beautiful property

This is our second time renting this beautiful property and we were not disappointed! The views and location are amazing! You are a 3 min walk from one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and every morning you are treated to a beautiful sunrise! Janine is great to deal with, and answers every question you may have quickly! We love this property and would rent it again in a heartbeat!

First time in Barbados. We were looking for a quiet holiday The Hummingbird Villa was perfect. Our host Lorraine was the Best…very knowledgeable about the Island, places to visit and restaurants. Lorraine made sure we were able to contact her if we had any issues or problems. Overall a great experience and stay, just what we needed.
