Home was charming but not clean

The rooms were very small and an air conditioning unit took up most of that space in one room and you could open the window. The hot tub is made to look like it’s private, it is not. It is directly in front of the walking path. The bathroom upstairs was not clean and there was a layer of dust in the living room. The outside did not have enough lights to see going up the stairs and was covered in cobwebs. At the end of the stay we only had one bag of trash. When wr went to dispose of the trash an animal had gotten into the trashcans and pulled out the previous tenants trash. We cleaned up as much as we could, but without gloves it was very unsanitary. I let the management company know so that the next tenant didn’t have the same issue and any other animals didn’t get into it and get sick. The management company kept insisting we had to clean it up, even after we explained it wasn’t our trash and it was half eaten food from someone else. It took multiple text messages to explain that it wasn’t our trash and it was completely unsanitary for us to clean it up. They finally stated that someone could come assist us. However, the home is located near a wonderful coffee shop and pizzeria.

Small but Nice

The location was hard to beat, we were close to everything we wanted to do. Would not recommend it for 8 people though, we stayed with 6 adults and 2 children and it felt very cramped.

The general cleanliness of the home was sub par. The flooring and bathrooms could use a little up...

Aside from the cleaning issues, the home was charming and cozy. The location was nice with a view of the lake and the shops were just a short walk away. We would give it a second chance in the future. Lastly, I misses that no condiments were provided, but a salt and pepper shaker would be nice. We had a very bland breakfast, probably healthier LOL.

Great townhome with Lake View and Hot Tub

We had a lovely weekend stay at this property, which has a view of the lake and forest, a full kitchen, and hot tub to enjoy. It was very clean on arrival. We would definitely stay again!

DCL skiing trip 2024

Location was great. View was beautiful. Unfortunately, house was not cleaned well and not well maintained. Responsiveness of maintenance company was poor. Most of our issues were either addressed late or not at all.

Nice place and affordable on fees

Property was nice. Hot tub was amazing. Didn't find the keys at first for the hot tub. Called the property management company and they never followed up but we ended up finding them on the fridge. When we arrived the emails and texts didn't list the door access so we had to call about that. Otherwise very nice and more affordable on fees than other places I looked at. There were dishes left in the dishwasher that weren't precleaned properly but we only stayed for 2 nights so I just hand washed our dishes. Front door blinds were damaged but no big deal as long as I don't get charged. I would stay again ... was a decent place and had a nice view of the lake :)

Perfect getaway

Amazing time at this house! We love staying at Roman Ridge and this property was a gem. The basement walkout with soft astroturf to get to the hot tub was a very pleasant surprise! We enjoyed the house and did not have an issues plus it was a great kitchen and clean as can be!

Great Home Away from Home

We have had 3 vacations here, and it was lovely each time. The location is up from the main road behind a row of trees, enough to keep the noise of the main road down to a dull roar, and affording a wonderful view of Deep Creek Lake and the forest around it from the small porch off the kitchen. The apartment is accessible up two flights of stairs, but with a smaller bedroom accessible by a ground floor entrance. The owners recently installed a hot tub (for summer months) and a small astroturf patio tucked under the porch, a great place to relax with a morning beverage. Down the hill by the road is a small "village" with a cafe, an Italian restaurant, a Subway and a water-sports shop that offers tours of the lake during the high season. The entrance sits at a wide loop around the lake, so it can be hard to see the traffic coming around either bend, so use extra caution when you go sightseeing. There is enough here for a four-season experience.

The vacuum cleaner needs updated or bag replaced and the smoke detector kept going off when you shower downstairs maintaine took care of that and the ant and dishwasher issues overall great place and everything was clean

Amazing location!

We loved walking to the pizza place, subway, and the coffee shop. It was so great that we could walk to High Mountain Sports too. We hope to stay again in the summer so we can walk down to rent kayaks and launch without ever needing to get in the car. Plus the place had everything we needed to cook great meals and sleep comfortably.

Everything you need and more

Place is really comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. Can walk to the coffee shop, pizza, and sub shop at Trader’s Landing. Great views and very relaxing. Will definitely book this house again.

Very accommodating

Everything was clean and a very nice location, close to everything. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of clean towels for everyone. The only suggestion I have is to maybe add some cereal bowls since there was none at all. But overall a great place

Great location small accommodations

This place sleeps 8 but is VERY small. Limited porch/outdoor space. Obstructed view of the lake. Hard to control the indoor climate. It is very close to everything so great location. We had 5 people but it says sleeps 8! Beds are small.

Great place for the money

We had a great time in this rental. Very clean. The spiral staircase is a little dangerous, especially if you are older. The kitchen is old, but functional. I would stay here again. This space would be very tight for a busy family.
