Serenity i exklusiv Oyster Pond Enclave With Damm och Beach Access

Denna obefläckade destination är en sju tunnland stor egendom på den östra sidan av Oyster Pond, vilket ger en tyst integritet som är svår att matcha, men ändå bekvämt beläget en mil utanför Edgartown-W. Tisbury Road för enkel åtkomst till centrala Edgartown och för att åka upp ön.

Detta specialbyggda "Dream Home" är ett uppochnervänt hus, med vardagsrum, kök och master svit & badrum belägen på den rymliga andra våningen, skyhöga med högt i tak och en kupol. Dess flöde och energi transporterar ett till ett utrymme där tiden mäts av solens och månens bågar.

Två stora däck - perfekta för morgonkaffe, sola, grilla, cocktails och äta middag - flankerar huset och har utsikt över det omgivande bevarandeområdet. Ett fullt utrustat kök ger också en härlig utsikt över den spredande gräsmattan nedan för att titta på lekfulla barn eller graciösa rådjur!

Den första våningen sprider sig från en anpassad, böjd trappa till ytterligare tre sovrum, ett bibliotek, ett tvättstuga och ett badrum med separat tvättställ med tvättställ

Plattskärms-TV-apparater gillar alla rum, inklusive biblioteket, som är perfekt för en barnfilm på kvällen eller som kontor (med trådlös skrivare / kopiator / fax). Det finns också ett barnhörn på övervåningen med spel, pussel och ett teleskop för att utforska natthimlen. En barnstol och nya Pack 'n Play finns tillgängliga.

Cyklar och hjälmar tillhandahålls för att turnera ön. En cykelväg är tillgänglig vid huvudet av Oyster Pond Road. Dessutom finns två Stand Up Paddleboards, gräsmatta, strandleksaker, paraply och en hopfällbar, storhjulig strand med alla, samt en bärbar kylare med kalla förpackningar i frysen.

Två kajaker (tandem och singel) väntar också på vattenrampen, som ligger ~ 150 meter från uppfarten, där du kan komma åt och utforska skönheten i dammet och nå stranden. När du kommer tillbaka (och ännu bättre på natten under stjärnorna!), en utomhusdusch vinkar.

Denna strand är också tillgänglig med bil på Long Point Wildlife Refuge, bara några minuter bort. De erbjuder uthyrning av kajak och SUP.

Great getaway!!

We so enjoyed our stay at this home! The house is private but close to great restaurants and shopping areas, immaculately clean, spacious and comfortable. The owners have provided all the supplies and amenities you could ask for and were extremely helpful - giving great options for dining and activities. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a comfy and inviting stay on the island!!

Beautiful stay

We had a wonderful stay at this property for a family of 7. Plenty of room, great a/c for keeping us comfortable during the heat wave and great hosts! This is a well cared for and updated property, located just minutes away from the restaurants and beaches. You won’t be disappointed!

Family Visit

We spent a wonderful week at this amazing property. The homeowners did in fact think of everything. After spending many summers at MV, this house is hands down the best property we have ever stayed at. We hope to visit again soon.

Perfect Vacation

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful and well-stocked home. The hosts were immediately responsive to all contacts and repeatedly looked to make our stay special. The house and amenities were accurately describe and even understated when you see that the boats, bikes and games were all quality items. The house was impeccably clean and had everything we could possibly need. We had an amazing time. If you rent this house you will want or need for nothing and will probably be writing a similar review at the end of your stay.

Dream Home for the Perfect Martha’s Vineyard Vacation

We had the most amazing family vacation at this perfect retreat. The home was impeccably clean and had everything we needed. It was private, beautiful, and incredibly relaxing. The location was perfect—quiet yet conveniently close to everything. The condition of the home and the decor were flawless; we couldn't have asked for better. We all felt at home during our weeklong stay and wished we had stayed longer! The owners were incredible—so kind, helpful, and always available for recommendations if needed. We highly recommend this place and hope to return soon!

This was a girls long weekend and the owners made it so wonderful for us.

The owners Dawn & Lawler are amazing. It was so nice and clean. Plus everything was very organized and easy to find. Dawn even had a homemade Blueberry pie waiting for us. We loved it so much we are going back next year. Highly recommended this place.

Oyster Pond - a Martha’s Vineyard gem

Our family enjoyed this beautiful home which was walking distance from Oyster Pond. We enjoyed paddle boarding, kayaking and taking the skiff to a private section of ocean beach. The house had everything one needs in a vacation home. The owners were friendly and very hospitable. This was one of the nicest homes we have stayed at in over 30 years of bringing our family to Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket.

Wonderful Stay!

The pictures do not do this house justice. You couldnt ask for a better host than Dawn. She helped me with figuring out traveling to the island. She provides everything you could possibly think of needing. The island is beautiful. People are very friendly. We used the boat several times to go to the beach and saw two sea lions!! The bikes were great way to sightsee. I couldn't recommend this place more!

One of a kind - amazing experience

Our 3rd summer staying and it never disappoints- the house is lovely and the location is great for outdoor enthusiasts who like boating and biking in scenic surroundings. The house is immaculate with thoughtful touches throughout — and owners highly responsive. We will be back again next year!

Great house in great location!

House is beautiful on private property with large yard, 2 decks, fire pit, hammocks, and outdoor shower. Close to pond, beach and walking trail. House was well stocked with supplies—kitchen, bath, kids toys, paddle boards, kayaks, beach chairs, games, and more. Beds are incredibly comfortable and house was spotless. Owners were responsive and helpful. Definitely recommend!

Wonderful

Had a wonderful stay over New Year's. What a great way to end a heavy year and start a hopefully better one. The home is spacious and serene and private. Every attention is given to details to make the guests feel at home and equipped for a great holiday. Dawn was super responsive before and during the stay. A magical time.

Wonderful Escape

We loved every single thing about our stay. You could not find better hosts ! So kind and welcoming. They have literally thought of everything you could possibly need. House is beautiful!!! and peaceful. We loved to cook and there is a well- stocked kitchen . We will definitely return . We loved every moment. Most relaxing vacation I have had in a while and that is saying a lot during these times!!

Fantastic stay at perfect MV property for families

We had a fantastic stay at Dawn's home (four adults, two toddlers, one baby). This is the ideal property if you're traveling with children and it is very centrally located to everywhere on MV we wanted to go (different towns, beaches, etc.). We were so impressed about the thought and care that went into making the house as user-friendly as possible (everything perfectly labeled, games for kids, beach toys, etc.). Communication with Dawn was also perfect--we had a small issue with a repair that she promptly had fixed within an hour. We loved the big lawn for running around with our kids and hammocks for relaxing. The whole stay was perfection!

Beautiful House and Fantastic Location

This is our second summer returning to Dawn and Lawler’s magnificent home. The house is sparking clean- with all the cooking and grilling supplies needed to feel right at home. The beds are very comfortable, with great air conditioning. A huge highlight for us is the location of the house to lots of outdoorsy activities like kayaking in the pond, a running trial around the perimeter of the house, and biking trails. It is so convenient to get to Edgartown and South and Long point Beaches. We can’t wait to return again next summer-we miss it already!!

Truly a 5 star experience!!!

The home is impeccably clean and beautifully furnished. On a large lot, feels very private. Excellent beach chairs, wagon, cooler and toys. Dawn and Lawler thoughtfully installed a baby gate for our young children and had all of the accessories for young kids available, including books, toys and even drawing paper. Awesome outdoor hammocks, picnic table and fire pit. The pictures honestly don’t do the home justice! MV is magical, and so is this truly lovely home!!

Lovely House Mix of Relaxation and Adventure

We had a perfect week with our kids, their friends, and our friends. The layout of the house is great for keeping kids downstairs- with a separate den and refrigerator, while we entertained our friends upstairs on the spacious outdoor decks. We also really enjoyed using the owner’s kayaks to bike to a quiet beach, and biking to Morning Glory farms and Edgartown. The house is perfectly situated near a large pond and wooded area, outside the hustle and crowds of Main Street Edgartown, while also being close enough to get to the action when you want to shop and have fine dining. We can’t wait to come back next summer!

Great Short Weekend!

We had a great weekend and the hosts were amazing. Answered all our questions promptly. House was immaculate, well stocked and great for a large group. The family room and decks provided room for all. Only challenge is you are not close to bike trails and dirt road leading to the house does not allow you to get to one easily. You need to drive out and park and then ride. A small compromise for an incredible house with everything you need.

Wonderful week!

House was fantastic and worked extremely well for our family of 6 adults, one infant and one dog. Very private setting, quick walk to Oyster Pond to access kayaks and a private barrier beach on the south side of the island. Unfortunately the Zodiac was not working, so we also drove to nearby beaches at Long Point and took the Chappy ferry to Wasque point, an amazing reserve and dog-friendly beach. The house is well stocked, mattresses and linens were top notch. Grounds were expansive and located near walking trails. Great outdoor shower, always a must for our family. In short, a fabulous house to spend a week with family and/or friends and enjoy all the Vineyard has to offer.

Perfect for us

This property was spacious, clean, nicely decorated and well-situated. The kitchen was stocked with very nice/high end appliances and dishware. Our kids enjoyed the TVs in all the rooms--especially since they weren't allowed to bring other devices! The various games and art supplies supplied were well-used. We especially loved being able to take the short walk down to the pond access point where the kids and dog swam every day. We also used the owners' kayaks and SUPs several times, including kayaking down to the barrier beach where we came upon a seal napping on the absolutely empty beach! So magical. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Incredible MV Rental

We absolutely loved staying at Dawn and Lawler's home on Martha's Vineyard. From the airy and bright rooms, fully-equiped kitchen and great outdoor grill, to the abundant recreational equipment, beautiful green lawns and location near Edgartown, this property had everything we could wish for. We especially liked kayaking on Oyster Pond and napping in the outdoor hammocks. Dawn and Lawler were very helpful and gracious hosts, including in providing full instructions and answering questions. They made the process easy and enjoyable. And perhaps the best VRBO experience we've ever had. Our one regret is that we can't live in this house full-time! But it did give us inspiration for some home design projects. And makes us long to return to Martha's Vineyard.

Wonderful return to our “Happy Place”!

We have been vacationing on the Vineyard for almost 25 years and after a 3 year hiatus (thank you pandemic) we returned and rented this beautiful home as a celebration of our retirement. We now have grown adult daughters, with significant others and outgrew our original rental. This home was exactly as advertised and absolutely perfect for us. The home is well appointed, comfortably decorated, and sits in a beautiful private setting. We love the “non-touristy” parts of the Vineyard, hiking, biking, kayaking, exploring new Land Bank properties, and typically spend little time in a home. However, this home and it’s property was so relaxing we spent many days and evenings just enjoying the yard, and Oyster Pond. The private beach was a bonus, just know it’s a little work to get there, even with the Zodiac as pond levels were very low throughout our stay. The owner was a great communicator, and there were no issues. The home has enough secluded space that our daughters were able to work remotely when needed without issues. The owners have literally thought of every detail and we were so appreciative. We made so many new memories here and will be back!!

There’s so much to describe about our home that we’ll simply begin with what our guests invariably say at check-in: WOW!! Yes, we agree and that’s why we truly enjoy hosting. We know that our guests are about to experience everything we love about this property: the relaxing serenity that comforts you from all the cares in the world. The sights and sounds of nature all around, and the subtle ones of the distant waves. The boat ride on the pond to our beach, passing swans and osprey nests, and the occasional jumping fish. And then there’s the stunning beach, where often no one is there except curious seals bobbing in the waves. Or piping plovers trying to avoid them.

With decades of travel all over this wonderful planet, we know what makes an exceptional place to stay. Every nook of the property inside and out has been prepared for you with that intention. It also helps that one of us is a bit OCD about cleanliness. Unwashed blankets and bathroom rugs between guests? No way! The place must look and feel like no one stayed there before you.

Everything in the home is thoughtfully tailored to be a comfortable, relaxing home base that you’ll look forward to waking up in, and returning home to after a day of island adventures. Heck, you may want to spend most of your time right here. You’ve got the beach, walking and biking trails. Lawn hammocks and deck loungers to laze away on. Or have fun playing lawn games. Read a book from our library on one of many comfy sofas or a window seat.

We love sharing our magical place in New England paradise. The biggest reward is greeting returning families beaming with anticipation as they embark on another relaxing, fun and adventurous vacation from the comfort of our home!
