We really enjoyed our stay at this sweet little cabin! It was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed. We were only there for a short respite to get some things done away from home, but we wished we could have stayed longer. There are plenty of modern options out there, but I was craving that true cabin feel—and this one delivered perfectly. It’s comfortable, peaceful, and just what we needed. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a cozy getaway.

Peaceful Retreat

Stoney Porch cabin made our trek through the Hill Country even sweeter. This beautiful cabin is well appointed with all the amenities you needfor a peaceful stay. The hosts were fantastic and provided an easy check in and checkout, providing all relevant information and easy to follow instructons. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Quiet Spot

We loved it here! The online photos are great, but the actual experience was even better. Very clean, simple and nice. 20 minute drive to the city. Beautiful country atmosphere. Excellent communication from hosts. We would definitely stay here again.

A beautiful hill country getaway

My husband and I had a wonderful time during a recent trip to the Texas hill country (and during an arctic blast!) Stoney Porch was a lovely, secluded cabin with excellent views and all the amenities you need! The owners are great communicators and will make you feel welcomed. Would definitely stay here again!

Cute and cozy after wedding spot

We stayed here after getting married in Bulverde at Lost Mission. Had a fantastic time at the wedding and this cabin gave us a nice little cozy spot to stay afterwards and have a nice relaxing evening with a nice relaxing morning the day after. If we ever need to stay in the area again we will definitely keep this spot in mind!

relaxing get away

Ron and I felt right at home when we arrived. Everything was quaint and relaxing = especially the little deck off the house. We would go out at the end of the day and relax and reflect. It was very private and tuck away just enough to give the feel of being out in wilderness; and once in a while we got to enjoy a deer and sound of coyotes in the distance.

The Sweetest Stay

We loved our stay here, the owners are the sweetest and made sure we were happy with our stay. All the little details are thought out and taken care of. The whole place was decorated like a Hallmark Christmas movie, which stole my heart and made for a wonderful birthday surprise. Watching the deer and enjoying the views was wonderful. So peaceful. Lovely cabin

Perfect cabin for our one night stay. Loved the surroundings and peaceful nature. Cabin is very well maintained. Kathi and Dan provided very clear and detailed instructions along with recommendations for where to eat and things to do in the area. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing Quiet Get-A-Way!

House was clean and in great shape, had everything we were looking for. We ate at the Gristmill about 25 minutes away but there were several other locations close that we will try next time. They have a deer feeder just off the back porch and was a very relaxing place to stay. Will stay here again and loved our time there!

Amazing tree house

Lovely stay—- great location and beautiful deck and lookout spots. We loved watching the deer and exploring nearby areas! It was very easy to find!! We will be back! Lots of nice personal touches throughout the cabin and in the yard.

My husband and I stayed her for our honeymoon and plan to visit many more times in the future, it so nice and peaceful at the cabin and every single detail of the cabin from design to decor is absolutely stunning!!!! Great Little Cabin

Very nice and neat little cabin. It was definitley quiet and very peaceful. I would definitely recommend the stay for anyone looking for an overnight/ multi-night stay. Dan and Kathi were very helpful and accomodating. Will return in the future.

Wonderful!

Stony Porch was clean,well appointed and a most lovely place for a cozy intimate getaway. We enjoyed the restaurant recommendations and ate at The Branch and Screaming Goat Yard & Tap. Both were very good. The bottle of wine for our anniversary vacation was a nice touch (thank you Dan & Kathi).

Kathi and I celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary in May of 2019.
We met in college (Trinity University, San Antonio, Tx) and began our life together traveling through much of the world; worked together in a number of different ventures; and have truly enjoyed opening and administering to The Stoney Porch guest house on our property in the Texas Hill Country.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

Kathi & I settled on this proper in 1995 because of the beauty and peacefulness that this area of the Texas Hill Country provides. It is home.
We built the Stoney Porch Guest Cabin because we wanted to share our appreciation for this beautiful area.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

The Stoney Porch is unique because of the design and care that went into each phase.
We designed it and built it ourselves over a 2 year period and just opened in June of 2019. It's location on a 30' bluff that overlooks a valley and distant mountains make it as peaceful a location as one can find.
It is private and yet only minutes from rivers, lake, activities and entertainment of all kinds. Being 20 minutes from San Antonio offers a total contrast to the seclusion of the Stoney Porch Guest House.
