Family vacation

Poor Customer Service

Notified Vacasa the day of arrival that air conditioner was broken. After second day I called back to tell them the air was still broken. They told me it was hot out and the unit couldn’t keep up. That night when the Sun went down the coolest the temperature would reach was 78 degrees. The next day I went to the neighbors condo and the temperature was 69 degrees. Mine was 80 during the day. I called again and demanded something to be done. They said they would send a air man out to look at it. Then they called back and said he couldn’t go on the roof till the following day. So another night with the temperature at 79 degrees. Following day (our last day there) the air conditioner man fixed the air and we had a cool night in the condo. We had one night in the condo with air. If Vacasa would have listened the first night we were there it could have gotten fixed then. They said they were gonna compensate us but they never called me back. Horrible experience

Gorgeous condo but hot master

This condo is gorgeous and the location couldn’t be better. It is right on the beach and the pool is just steps from the beach— you can be to the pool from your beach chair in 1-2 min which was so nice with small kids! The help line on the app said there are no beach chair rentals in front of the condo but there totally are— realized this after hauling all of our chairs and umbrellas down. The condo was very clean and well appointed though the bedding could use an upgrade. Note that one pillow on each side of the master would be great. I would have given 5/5 stars except for the master bedroom and the customer service we received. We noticed on arrival that there was ZERO air in the master bedroom. It was a good 10-15 degrees warmer than the rest of the condo. To top it off, the ceiling fan didn’t work— the light or the fan. We messaged using the app and the chat line and we’re told to find the remotes. No remotes anywhere. Then we were told the owner doesn’t leave the remotes out so to use the switch— informed them switches didn’t work and that also, beyond the no fan issue, the more pressing issue was that there was no AC in the unit. We were told there were three box fans in the unit. We were already using those to blow cold air into the master. No one was ever sent to check if a fuse was blown on the switches OR to investigate why the AC was out. I messaged for four days in a row and no one ever came. They said the box fans were all they could offer at the moment. On our last night, we heard scurrying inside the vent near the ceiling in the master. Shortly after hearing that, we smelled the worst smell imaginable. Imagine the smell when someone has stepped in dog poop and the smell won’t go away—- that’s what we experienced. All. Night. Long. It was horrendous. We had to sleep in the bed with our kids. The animal was still scurrying in the vent all night. And the AC continued to NOT work. Honestly, we would have been ok with all of this but the frustrating part was the lack of any attempt to remedy the situation. We spent four days at the beach in 90 degree weather with no AC in the main bedroom and were told to just use the box fans. Again, that would have been fine if anyone was ever sent to try to fix anything. But they weren’t, and moreover, they never reached back out each day to update me— I had to constantly re-message and contact them. We were left to feel as if no one cared. Very frustrating and disappointing.

Summer House

This is the second time we've had the opportunity to stay in 605B at Summer House in recent months. It's a great place to relax and make memories at the beach. The kitchen is well stocked, the furniture is comfortable, and the artwork by the owner is a huge bonus. The balcony furniture is perfect, and the view is outstanding. Wonderful place to stay!

What a get-away!

It was a time for a get-away to celebrate a 65th birthday and a retirement. We loved being right on the beach in the comfort of nice accommodations with the convenience of wonderful restaurants.

Summer House

We recently celebrated our 50th anniversary at Summer House in room 605B. The room was great and the artwork by the owner was outstanding. The furniture was very comfortable and the balcony was the best. We could not have asked for a nicer place to stay. We are hoping to spend our 51st anniversary back in unit 605B.

Very nice condo!

Condo was very clean; furnishings were very nice; kitchen had everything we needed. Loved all the furniture on the balcony…..allowed us to enjoy the fabulous view!

What could have been!

This could have been a lovely short get a way for my family but turned in to a difficult couple of days. The actual property looks nice and the view from the balcony was fantastic. We were promised 2 parking passes for our stay. We only found one when we arrived. I called (40min wait)and they ended up sending me a picture basically insinuating that there were two and we were not telling the truth. Eventually, they said they would send someone over with another pass. We went right down to the beach and when we came back I discovered the shower had a note on it that I needed to be careful because the handle needed to turn left. The note was written on the back of the parking pass. When you turned the handle to the left the handle came off. I spent some time messing with it and eventually gave up using the shower. Later on that evening the people upstairs overflowed their bathtub and our bathroom was soaked. It took another 45 minutes to contact someone at Vacasa to let them know there was a problem. I also mentioned the problem with the shower handle and parking pass. The connection was never good talking to Vacasa. I had to repeat what I was saying multiple times to the customer service lady and I had difficulty The lady told me that someone would be over to fix the shower and access the damage within one hour. It was 10pm. Nobody showed up so we went to bed. At 11:30pm a manager called me and then said she would find out what was going on with the people upstairs and call me back. She finally called back 20min later. She was nice but good grief it was late and I hadn't showered and now I wasn't able to sleep. They sent the plumber who knocked and then just came in the condo. My teenage girls were sleeping and it scared them to death. Another lady showed up with a parking pass even though I had told them I had found the one pass that the plumber had written on. The plumber said he needed a part and couldn't fix the shower. Later on the manager called again and was nice and offered to issue a credit because of all the trouble. It has been a week and a half and no credit. Good Grief! I think I will look for a different company to rent from on our next trip to Orange Beach.

Vacation

My most favorable thing was the balcony. The furniture was great. The space was very spaceous and the view was beautiful! Not too high up and not too low! The inside was decorated to cute and accomodating. Definitely plan to go back!!

Great last minute family vacation

The home was beautiful as pictured and was very clean, The only issue we had was there was not a handle on the outside of the patio door so it was kind of hard to open and close but other than that the patio with spacious, rooms are spacious we loved it and plan on returning.

Comfortable and spacious

We had a lovely weekend including grandmother, two daughters and five grandchildren (all young adults). Plenty enough room to spread out and the view was beautiful. Definitely plan to book again.

1st the virus then tropical storm! But it cleared up as we arrived to spotless condo with best balcony I've had in lots of stays on OB. Great pools with 2 nights of local bands playing. Very short walk on boardwalk to beach. Older complex but was very clean with parking spots, fast elevators & luggage carriers by the dozen. We fit 7 adults & 3 kids with couch still available.
