This was probably the best place we’ve stayed during our whole trip. Ilaria is very kind and helpful. Check in process was super easy and she walked us through everything. The place is very cute and comfortable and has an amazing terrace with a wonderful view. Close distance to everything, easy to walk to. Would definitely stay here again and every host should be like Ilaria.

It cannot get any better! We could spend hours admiring this view, especially in the evening with a good glass of italian red wine. Ilaria is the most wonderful, helpful and considerate host and we cannot recommend this apartment enough. Grazie mille e a presto!

Walking distance to Vatican

The location was very close to the Vatican and the apartment was very nice and quiet. We had outdoor access to the roof, which made the place seem bigger. Some negative parts was outside there was a lot of tiny red spiders walking around and ants on the inside. The elevator only went to the 4th floor and my 80 year old mother had to walk the additional flight of stairs. There is also a 6 euro per person per night tax that has to be paid in cash at the end. (Host also needed a copy of everyone’s Id) I tried to pay it through VRBO but the host insisted that I had to leave it inside the apartment when we leave. I asked for a receipt but none was provided and she seemed very irritated that I asked for one. She told me that she would email me, but it’s been over a week and I still haven’t seen it. There was also a problem with the toilet, but the host came there to fix it and bought us some pastries and champagne for the inconvenience. One last thing beware that check in information was sent on what’s ap and not through VRBO, so without that information, it was a little confusing to find it.

Perfect in every way and could have stayed longer as it had everything we needed, will come again

Easy to communicate with our host who helped us arrange our return taxi to the airport. Clean, well equipped, welcome basket of pastries, jams, biscuits, white wine and water The terrace is just fantastic! So much space! Close to a couple of restaurants, 10 mins to a Carefour, ATM not far. We walked most places as the metro is not that close but St Pietro train took us to Bracciano for the day Thank you!!

Great getaway

We needed a place to stay while we sorted out our flights home and this was a delight. Ilaria was so helpful, and the property was very comfortable. I was shocked that even in January we were able to enjoy the terrace, which was the highlight of the place. Even the building manager was super friendly—would highly recommend this for a little getaway.

A Wonderful Stay in Rome

This was a wonderful, secure, and well-kept property just a short walk outside of the Vatican. It has a beautiful patio and terrace overview of St. Peter's dome that we enjoyed in the evenings. Ilaria was a gracious host, was great with communication, and helped ensure our stay went well.

Sehr gut Erfahrung

Die Wohnung befindet sich in einer sehr guten und ruhigen Lage in unmittelbarere Lage beim Vatikan (St.Peter in 10 Minuten erreichbar). Das Appartment ist sehr freundlich eingerichtet und hat 2 sehr schöne Schlafzimmer und gemĂŒtliche WohnrĂ€ume. Die Terrasse ist extrem groß und bietet Platz fĂŒr Gesellschaft und Sonnenbaden. Bei der Ausstattung hat die Vermieterin and alle Details gedacht und bietet einen tollen Service an. Wirklich sehr zu empfehlen!

Very nice place in a very good location

We loved everything about this place. However, after completing payment in VRBO the owner notified us of a 3.5 EU per day city tax not included in the rate. Since there are other fees already in the system these should have been covered up front without having to manage this after the fact. The communication about the amount necessary was poor as well. The place was not cheap, though very much worth it, but this hidden fee seems a little dishonest even if it legitimate. Include it in the up front price for future guests to avoid confusion. Otherwise the place is smallish, but to be expected in a major city in Europe. The balcony is incredible and feels bigger than the inside living space. The bathrooms are small and each are off of the bedrooms. The 3rd room is a futon in the living/eating area, not a separate room. The kitchen is complete and functional and she had all the necessary items to prepare our own breakfasts. She provided us with a baby bed and high chair for our daughter which was very helpful. She has a washing machine but no drier but it helped to keep our laundry clean. Rome is sunny most all of the time and air drying worked out fine. Not sure about the Twilight decorations but otherwise well decorated. The location is about 7 minutes from St Peters Cathedral and the Vatican by walking depending on your speed. There are some restaurants close by but a bit of walking will provide better opportunity. The condo complex is not the best situated by way of sidewalks. The elevator only goes up to one level below the room and a flight of stairs is required which may affect accessibility for some folks. We managed the stroller ok though. Overall it is a very worthwhile place to stay if you looking for a place with a great view near the Vatican. It is worth noting it is far from most of the other main sites to visit in Rome such as the Colosseum which is probably an hour walk away.

Hervorragend und jederzeit wieder!

Die Vermieterin ist ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfbereit. Es hat alles hervorragend funktioniert. Auch die Extratipps und der Transfer vom und zum Flughafen waren beispiellos gut. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und zentral gelegen. Die Dachterrasse ist nicht zu toppen. Gerne kommen wir wieder. Ein herzliches Dankeschön an Ilaria und ihren Cousin!

Great Stay

Ilaria was very accommodating. We arrived early and she allowed us to leave our luggage before check in. The location was excellent- restaurants and Vatican City within a few blocks. The roof top penthouse was beautiful. We spent early mornings and evenings on the rooftop enjoying coffee/wine.

Our experience was outstanding!!! It was even better then the online pictures. Everything we needed the owner was extended responsive. She assisted with our transfer to and from the airport as well!! I would generously recommend it to anyone who wants to be so close to the Vatican but in an Italian neighborhood to use her property!!

Perfect penthouse with beautiful view

Fantastic communications and hosting from Illaria. Penthouse was just as described. Fantastic view of St Peters Basilica dome. A very special place with everything you need for a stay in Rome. Lovely restaurant 200m down the road and 10 mins walk to St Peters Square. Would stay again if in Rome.

Stay near the Vatican

This was our last stop on a European vacation with our family of five and it worked out perfectly for us. The living area is a bit cramped (including bathrooms) but there is a large deck that can be used if the temperature outside is not too hot which gives you plenty of room to spread out. The location of the property is very near the Vatican but a ways away from the rest of the sites of Rome so you will need to take taxis during your stay as it is a bit too far to walk. With that said, the neighborhood was very nice with a number of nice restaurants within walking distance. All-in-all, we had a great time in Rome and staying at this location added to our satisfaction of a great ending to our trip. Todd

Perfect home away from home in Rome

Ilaria was a wonderful host and we could tell she put alot of work into making us feel at home. The location was perfect on a quiet street with just a 10 minute walk to the vatican. Several nice restaurants and gelato were even closer. We would definitely recommend staying here while visiting Rome.
