LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!!!

CANNOT beat this location!!!! Perfect for our weekend getaway. Served its purpose for a girls weekend! Only thing is the staircase is pretty steep and goes straight up 3 levels so might be a hazard to little bitty kids/toddlers but for us it was fine!

Excellent location and Mostly as Described

We loved the location! It is perfect for a group of 6. The only concern we had was the couch was dirty. We would book it agin due to the other items that were just as described.

Very tight quarters

The location is perfect. But this house does NOT comfortably accommodate 8 or even really more 4. The bathrooms are the real limitation. The main living space (tiny kitchen and very small living area) are on the second floor. On that second floor is a "full bath" That full bath may be the smallest full bath I have ever seen. Sitting on the toilet your knees are touching the sink. The ground floor has 2 good size bedrooms each with queen beds. The ground floor shares a normal size bathroom. The bathroom is very dated with tub and shower curtain, but it is workable. The 3rd floor has 4 beds - 2 in a loft overlooking the 2nd floor living space and 2 beds in a separate room. The 3rd floor has 1/2 bath - no shower or tub. So if you are thinking of sleeping 4 people on the 3rd floor they will need to either use the world's smallest bath on the 2nd floor or trapse down 3 floors to only real bath being use by everyone in the house.The kitchen is very small and dated. The stairs in the house are very small spiral staircases. You will be challenged to get normal size suitcase up to the 3rd floor.Overall there is nothing wrong with the house as long as you recognize that it is very dated and very tight quarters. It was clean and everything worked. We had a minor maintenance issue during our stay, and the management company quickly addressed it. Seaside is beautiful and if you plan on not spending much time inside the actual house and sharing a bathroom then all good

Should rename home to “Delta Dawn”

…it was a faded rose from days gone by. House had rampant wood rot, water damage poorly repaired on the ceiling, black mold in the corners, not a screen was not torn and most dangling. One truly wonders why VRBO would allow Vacasa to list a property such as this one. To say the house was tired connotes that there is some life left in it … On the plus side, location is great and they had good taste in books.

Great property, wasn’t clean

Great area, cute house. Multiple sets of sheets / linens had stains on them. Also, for having such a big cleaning fee as last of the rental, not sure we should have to take out our own garbage. Ceiling fan in the downstairs bedroom sounds like it’s about to fall out of the ceiling.

Cutest Beach Stay

I loved everything about this house. I stayed on the lower level and the bed was so comfortable! The spiral staircase was very fun and unique. It was the perfect size for me and 5 other girls! I would rent this spot again if I came back to the area!

Perfect location for family w kids

Very walkable and safe for kids. One block from beach, one block from town center. Spiral staircase presents concern for little kids but it is manageable. Property itself is as advertised. Some features are a bit dated at this point, but everything is comfortable. Would stay again. 10/10 recommend.

Did the job but Outdated and old

First off, the house did the job. And there were a few things that were good. But this house is in serious need of updating. Basically everything so keep this in mind when you book it. PROS -Location was great, parking was good, porch swing was nice and having a couple of fans for use was good. Washer and dryer were good. CONS -there are still many items that need to be fixed/repaired that have been noted in past reviews. -Mold on the shower curtain (unacceptable and a cheap fix) - broken shutter on the bathroom window (unacceptable as people can see inside) -no locks on the porch doors -hairs in the showers -crusty food stains on the dining table cover (unacceptable and a really cheap fix) -Flat pillows (bring your own if you can) -Exterior light street side didn’t work (safety) -Upstairs bathroom fan didn’t work -Porch screens were missing -Screens torn on doors -Rotting wood on exterior -tv in downstairs bedroom didn’t work. Many more but this place is just old and looks uncared for. That is probably why it was cheaper than other houses. Will not book here again until the house has been repaired.

Please Read The Revies!

Pros: Location & Strong water pressure Cons: Safety! Locks are not all working effectively or efficiently. All furniture is very weathered, and outdated. Kitchen items are all old, for a cook who wants to cook daily, I didn't want to due to the lack of. Sheets are rough, and extremely low quality as well as the bath towels. Shutters are old, dusty and broken. Vents are rusty & dirty. Rusty nails sticking out of the porches. Outside lighting did not work, walking into a dark porch. Old dirty charis with beyond disgusting fabric on all outside patio furniture. The downstairs toilet paper holder is broken. Shower curtain stained dirty & rusted! These are just to name a few items, needing attention! To the owners - go stay at your properties for a week, & let me know how you do! Start putting the money earned back into your rentals! MUCH NEEDED! To the Mgmt Property - You failed! The weekly inspection is not being done. You should be ashamed of your company for not delivering quality. If the owners wont do what you asked them to do, then drop them as a client! This is ruining your reputation.

Cozy and Quaint

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at American Dream. The house was cozy and felt like a home. There could be a few tasks to make the house seem more well kept (e.g., fixing the broken shutter in the attic bedroom that overlooks the living room), but that did not affect our stay at all. Location is phenomenal. We will definitely be back.

Mold and Dirt

There was mold in the air vents, showers, floor In bathroom. The kicker - mold was found on the bedskirt!! A bed broke when sitting on it. Shutter slats missing in bathroom made to feel exposed so towel was used to cover it. Doors do not feel secure when locked due to wood rot. Vacasa management unhelpful throughout stay except to come and spray bleach and trade out the dirty sheets without informing us 3 women first. Personal items moved. 25+ years in renting at the beach this is the first review I ever had to make to hopefully help someone from renting a place where you can’t even sit on furniture.

Affordable location

This home was very affordable and I was thankful to find it. The location was terrific. Pots and pans and kitchen stuff could use some replacements and upgrading bc they have reached their lifespan. Would have loved some instructions for how we could’ve used our Netflix account with their tv setup. Enjoyed the space for our mother/daughter trip and it fit our budget.

Wonderful stay at American Dream

We loved our stay here! It was clean, the beds were comfortable and the location can’t be beat!!! It was very cozy for our family of 6! The porches on the bottom and second floor were fabulous as well!

Comfy and cozy

We enjoyed our stay at the American dream. It has a super homey feel to the place and everything you need. The only downside was that the dryer wouldn’t heat…. And the shower curtain was being held up on one side by a wad of toilet paper (both things I made VACASA aware of and I believe they will make sure are fixed). I would still stay there again. The walk to the shops and the beach weren’t bad at all and it was perfect for our house full of teenagers.

A dump and VACASA is a corporate nightmare

Honestly, I don't know where to begin. This home is not habitable. Starting with basics--the beds feel like they're made of cardboard. One bedroom has no mirrors and the walls are beat up and covered with dust. There are no lights in the rooms aside from dinky little beside spotlights. Every vent return is covered with rust, and the bedroom ceiling fan is hanging detached. The shower grout is BLACK with mold, and the spring-shower rod is not bolted to the wall. As a result... it falls on you when trying to shower. And of course, you can't put it back up when the tile is wet. But those are the small matters. There was a huge glob of blue mystery gunk on the bedskirt. The was a (different) blue mystery cream smeared on the face of the bedside table. The rugs were black and stained. Upstairs in the family room, there are decorative, interior white shutters. The top of the shutters and the window frame are COVERED in BLACK MOLD. I have never seen anything like it. I reached out to Vacasa repeatedly to alert them to the situation, to request a refund, and to request a relocation. NO ONE offered to assist with the shower rod, and no one responded except to say "We sincerely apologize for the unclean condition of the unit. We are making our local staff aware of the issue." I started reaching out on Friday at 4pm. I spoke with someone Friday afternoon in the Vacasa Tennessee office who has no familiarity with the local conditions. I was told I would hear from someone on Saturday morning. Despite reaching out to Vacasa every hour on the hour for updates the next day--and despite providing photographs of all the conditions described above--I did not hear from anyone until after 3pm the following day. Vacasa did not relocate me, so I relocated myself at my own expense. I paid $1200 for three nights at this dump. Vacasa offered $100 in compensation. What a disgusting, pathetic, greedy company. I have been vacationing in Seaside for the last twenty years, and I've never had a problem. Now, I work for a law firm in the area, and I come more regularly to work with clients and colleagues. This particular weekend was a business trip, and I could not adequately get ready for my events in this dump. Plus, I had to spend much of my time babysitting Vacasa. I will NEVER -- REPEAT NEVER -- recommend this company to anyone, and I will be happy to forewarn clients and colleagues about how phenomenally horrible the customer service is. Vacasa ended up refunding a measly 50% of my stay in this disgusting unit, never offering to compensate me for my time or expense incurred to re-locate. DO NOT BOOK THIS UNIT AND DO NOT BOOK VACASA. I feel badly for the owners. They probably have no idea the condition in which VACASA has left their place. Gross. Stay far away. If I could post pictures on this review, I would. VACASA: I will gladly amend this review if you would offer a full refund for a terrible customer service experience. You owe it.

Wonderful location and layout - needs upkeep

This home is wonderfully located in Seaside close to the beach and town center. The two porches were nice and still very private. The decor was cute but a little dated in spots (older light fixtures and ceiling fans, original plumbing fixtures etc). There were significant areas in need or repair or replacement and many of these items had been noted by previous tenants over the past two years - still not addressed. Most we worked around and weren’t really bothersome as most things were primarily cosmetic. However the shower curtain in the main downstairs bath that keep falling down was annoying. The broken slats in the shutter covering the bathroom window noted in a previous review are still covered with blue painters tape but again just cosmetic. We also noted that all of the French doors most likely need to be replaced as the locking mechanisms on top and bottom did not all work and one door to the upstairs patio had rotted through at the bottom - there was a decent sized hole. The screws in the top hinge of the outdoor shower door had rusted and the wood holding it rotted out so that it came off when we opened it up. Overall this place seems ready for a larger renovation. My thoughts are maybe the owner is deferring maintenance until that can happen. (FYI the adjoining property is currently under renovation and I did want to mention the contractors working there were exceedingly polite and respectful of us and our privacy!)

Great Location, Good Price

Great location just off of main area of seaside. Great accommodations, but photos make floorplan wider than it appears. It is long and deep, but it is a great place to stay. 3 stories of fun! Walk to anywhere you want at Seaside!

Beach house close to Seaside shopping and beach access

This property was a great place to stay for my family with 4 older kids. We enjoyed being able to walk just a few minutes to Seaside shopping and Pensacola beach pier. The home had everything we needed during our stay. Our kids thought the helical stairway was fun - although it was a little harder for mom and dad - but it was manageable. I would have given an all 5 star rating except for beds on the main floor that were uncomfortable and unclear directions on how to access the beach. Customer service did help after we asked about how to access private beaches and then had no further issues.

Perfect location

My husband and I took 3 teenage boys. Plenty of room, very cute home. Stocked with necessities for a few days (toilet paper, washing detergent, etc) which we appreciated. Everything is walking distance- shops, beach, restaurants. The farmers market was amazing on Saturday and Sunday. Loved it and will go back
