Om boendet

La Terrasse apartment is the perfect accommodation for family groups or friends, with four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and space for up to ten people. Its south-facing location offers spectacular panoramic mountain views, and it's conveniently located just minutes from the Morillon ski station (2.5km) and the village of Samoens (5km). You'll also find restaurants and bars nearby in the villages of Verchaix and Morillon.

The apartment is on the first floor and features spacious bedrooms, each with a private bathroom, linen, fluffy bathrobes, a hairdryer, and a heated towel rail. One bedroom has a south-facing balcony, and two bedrooms have access to a large terrace.

The apartment is fully equipped with modern amenities, including a heated boot room, a washing machine, and a hot tub (winter only, located on the lower ground floor outside). The large living room (55²) has a widescreen smart TV and ample seating and dining space. The new kitchen features a large island and is well-equipped with an AEG oven, induction hob, fridge freezer, microwave, coffee machine, and dishwasher. There's also a separate room for the washing machine and clothes airer, which doubles as a shoe and coat store.

Free parking is available on the street in front of the chalet for 2-3 cars, and the apartment is only 50 meters from the free ski bus.

The Grand Massif ski area is the fourth largest in France, with 265km of pistes for all levels. Enjoy the 14km La Cascade blue run from Flaine to Sixt, or the 5km Marvel piste through the trees in Morillon. Cross-country ski tracks are available at Col de Joux Plane, Sixt Fer-a-Cheval, and Plateau d'Agy.

Non-skiers can enjoy a spa in Samoens, local village markets, and snowshoeing. Meal delivery and in-house chef services are also available from the owners, Phil and Louise, who live on the ground floor. Bed linen and towels are provided.

Propriétaires malhonnêtes

Un conseil: fuyez! Expérience déplorable, du fait de propriétaires malhonnêtes et mal intentionnés. Notre réservation a été annulée en cours de séjour, de façon tout à fait arbitraire et unilatérale. Raison évoquée: "bruit". Les propriétaires louent un gite de groupe, mais il faudrait se coucher à 18h, en ayant pris soin de tous mettre les chaussons, en mangeant à l'extérieur pour ne pas faire de miettes, en ne fumant pas sur le balcon, etc... Nous avons reçu le règlement intérieur le jour de notre arrivée, après avoir payé donc. Si nous l'avions reçu plus tôt, nous ne serions pas venus. Discours humiliant inaudible et maternaliste. Nous avons été sommés de quitter le logement le lendemain de notre arrivée. Après enquête de voisinage, personne ne s'est pourtant plaint du bruit, sauf les propriétaires... En personnes bien élevées que nous sommes, nous nous sommes exécutés. Mon fils de 3 ans n'avait donc pas de toit pour le soir même, mais les propriétaires n'en avaient que faire. Nous comptons demander réparation auprès d'Abritel pour cette expérience déplorable.

Très agréable chalet pour un groupe de 15 personnes

Superbe chalet très bien équipé avec une vue splendide et des hôtes particulièrement prévenants et accueillants. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour entre ski, farniente, balades en raquette et instants de détente dans le jacuzzi face au panorama.

Beau chalet pour 15

Excellent séjour d'une semaine 8 adultes et 7 enfants dans ce vaste appartement très bien équipé et conforme au descriptif et photos. Philip et Louise sont très accueillants et accomodants. Le jaccuzi, le soir, pour se détendre au retour du ski et la spécialité maison la potence flambée au Whisky sont incontournables.

Fantastic apartment,great location,stunning views

I've not actually stayed at the apartment as it is brand new for this season however I've seen the apartment and it is beautiful and spacious. The views across the valley are breathtaking and the location is great, in just a 5 minutes drive you are at the free car park next to the Grand Massif Express. The owners, Phil and Louise are lovely people and I've had the pleasure of staying at La Terrasse de Verchaix each year for eight years and thoroughly recommend it.

We moved to the Giffre Valley in October 2005 in the search of a property we could run as a business and make our home. La Terrasse de Verchaix, was formerly an 18 bedroom hotel with restaurant. We have built the business up over the years and fully renovated the property into a modern spacious chalet style apartment, which our guests can enjoy, whilst we can still enjoy the benefits of living on the ground floor. . We love to ski and cycle, so we're definitely in the right place!
We love it here, and we're sure you will too!

I don't think there are many properties that have such experienced owners who are so passionate about the quality of their product and service.
The property has an enviable elevated location overlooking the Giffre Valley, we found this property when out walking and couldn't believe our luck when it came on the market 6 months later.
We have completely refurbished inside and out to give our guests a really comfortable place to stay, we hope this is one of the reasons why we have such a high level of repeat business. We offer exceptional value for money compared to other nearby rental properties.
