Spacious daylight basement apartment with private entrance in quiet country home setting. Enjoy 1800 square feet with game room (ping pong and air hockey fans!), great for entertaining kids and adults.

We are within 15 minutes of downtown WS and Wake Forest University, and minutes from Truist Soccer Field, Rise and Tanglewood Park. Convenient but quiet.

We offer two bedrooms with queen beds and two additional twin beds in the game room. Private entrance with keypad, two parking spaces and coffee included ☕️ We know you will enjoy yourselves!

Part of the charm of our property is the quiet neighborhood in the country. If you are looking for a place to throw a party or large gathering, this is not the property for that purpose.

We do live upstairs in the home and have three dogs. We keep their (and our) activity to a minimum but keep in mind that you may hear a little pitter patter. The upside is that we are typically accessible for questions and add an extra layer of safety :). However, everything is completely private and no part of your space is shared.

We are listed on other vacation rental sites, which is why there is a 24 hour request for booking. We do not want to overbook and have to cancel on any guest. We will do our best to respond ASAP so you can get your plans finalized!

Had a great stay!

We were in town for soccer tournament at the Truist fields in Advance. Location couldn’t have been better. Feel like you’re in the country but minutes away from as many restaurants, grocery stores, and shops as you want. The accommodations were exceptional. Very quiet and everything we needed was there. The “play room” was a hit especially the air hockey game. The host was awesome. We didn’t need to make any special requests because everything was as advertised. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Winery wkd

We had a great weekend & it was centrally located for us to visit several area wineries. Wish we’d had more time to enjoy the games & outdoor firepit & grill. Loved the blackout curtains.

Wonderful weekend getaway

This residency was our fabulous getaway. The accommodations exceeded our expectations. The hosts, Larry and Karla, were very friendly and courteous. This is the best place to stay weather your searching for downtime and relaxation or a[place for local activities. We definely hope to return in the future.

A gem of a property and experience!

My family visited the Winston-Salem area for the first time this summer. We were looking for a rental that felt like a vacation getaway close to relatives who live in Clemmons. The hosts, Karla and Larry, have created wonderful, welcoming accommodations on a beautiful property that is a short drive to local conveniences and beautiful Winston-Salem. The accommodations are just as wonderful as described and pictured. Very clean and comfortable. The game room is amazing, although we did not have time to use it this visit. It was a pleasure meeting both Karla and Larry. (Thank you both for a wonderful experience!) We will definitely book here next time we plan to visit.

Excellent, fun home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Clemmons. Our kids (ages 5, 7, 10, and 13) put the game room to good use and enjoyed every minute. The hosts were exceptionally accommodating and gracious, especially since the kids had lots of loud fun. Apartment was beautiful and had everything we needed. Will stay here again in the future.

Great stay in Clemmons!

Our family stayed two nights at Larry and Karla's wonderful apartment and had a great time. The apartment is spacious, comfortable, and filled with lots of fun things to do. The kitchen is well equipped and everything is spotless clean. Communication was easy and prompt. Self check in was a breeze. It is a little outside of Winston Salem, but we knew that planned accordingly. We are already making plans to return.

Fantastic, Beautiful, 10 Stars !!!!

This property is Fantastic!!! Karla and Larry are great hosts, and they do the little things that make your stay perfect. Full size kitchen with all cooking necessities, spices, condiments, coffee, extra towels, a throw close by in case you get chilled, great tv's, fish aquarium, comfy beds, AND... a huge game room with ping pong, air hockey, a bar with tv behind it, and so much more. we cooked in every night we were there, it felt like home

Weekend Family Get Together

We had a lovely stay at Karla and Larry’s property! The country setting is very peaceful and beautiful yet only a 20 minute drive to where we wanted to be in Winston Salem. Karla and Larry were both extremely hospitable and responsive to our communications and went above and beyond to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable; from preparing the fire pit for our use to allowing us to love on their sweet dogs! The accommodations were exactly as described, very comfortable, beautifully decorated, very clean and the Game Room!!! We enjoyed numerous games of carpet ball, ping pong, and air hockey. We had such a lovely weekend visiting our family and would absolutely stay here again! Thank you Karla and Larry for sharing your beautiful property with us!! Lord willing, we will see you all again in the near future!

One of our favorites

We stayed only one night at this basement apartment, but will absolutely return. Karla and Larry were terrific hosts and are so gracious for sharing their beautiful property. We were looking for a COVID-friendly alternative to a hotel when in Winston for a youth soccer tournament. The home is 12 minutes from the BB&T soccer complex - can't beat that. We were certainly looking for convenience, which this no doubt offers, but there is so much more. The unit is a basement apartment below the hosts' beautiful home. They were home and we thoroughly enjoyed talking to them. Larry was kind enough to share some of his homemade BBQ sauce with us...and some of his secret recipe baked beans! Some people may not desire accommodations where the owners are present, but it was great for us a we enjoy meeting new folks. There is a great game room that my boys (12 and 9) loved so much that they didn't ask for their iPads. Ping pong and air hockey and pop a shot were great, but Larry's invention of carpetball was the favorite. The accommodations are ideal for a family or even two. Two bedrooms with comfortable beds plus a set of twins in the game room. A full bath. A stocked kitchen with table. There's a nice outdoor seating area as well. Although part of the hosts home, never did we feel like we lacked privacy nor did we feel that we were infringing on their privacy and comfort of their own home. We will 100% try to book with Karla and Larry for our next soccer event in Winston! Thank you for hosting us.

Soccer weekend

This trip was for our sons soccer games. We stay busy with 2 kids in sports and their schedules. Having a private, quiet area to stay close to the soccer feilds was perfect. It ended up being a pretty rainy weekend, but we still had a lot of fun staying in and playing the games available. The area is gorgeous and i greatly enjoyed my stay. It is super clean and had everything we would need for our stay. I would highly recommended. It is still a quick drive to the city and local restaurants but gives a quieter area to stay and relax.

Nice quiet property

Karla and Larry have been NC residents for many years. Karla is a local veterinarian and Larry a business consultant. We love meeting new people through the use of our apartment!

Varför värden valde detta boende

We aim to provide you with a cozy but spacious place for your stay. We are tucked away on a couple of acres, but still convenient to everything! Our previous Wake Forest visitors have enjoyed being within 15 minutes but not having to wait for a downtown restaurant (we have some good ones right here!). Our Tanglewood event visitors found themselves within minutes of the park, and our BBT Soccer Field visitors were able to come back in between tournament games, since we are so close. We are generally in town and love meeting our guests, but you have plenty of privacy to come and go without interruption. We would love to host you and your family!
