Det finns en person som påverkade min och Suys kärlek till North Georgia Mountains, den hyllade Toccoa-floden och fiske på Toccoa-floden. Det var min livslånga vän Kenny! Kenny och jag talade ofta om vår dröm. Vi ville bygga och dela en stuga på floden i North Georgia Mountains! Så vi valde ut ett vackert land och med spänningsbyggande började vi planera. Vi kunde knappt vänta med att bryta marken på vår drömkabin. Då slog tragedin! Kenny fick diagnosen aggressiv ALS hösten 2017. Så en förändring i planerna! Vi skulle göra kabinen rullstol tillgänglig. Åtminstone kunde Kenny rulla ut på däck och se mig fiska även om han inte kunde fiska själv! Tyvärr dog Kenny bort i april 2018. Han levde inte för att se vår dröm att realisera men Suzy och jag fortsatte min och Kennys dröm om en stuga i norra Georgia bergen i Kennys namn. Det är därför vi kallar det "Kenny's Place". En procentandel av intäkterna från Kenny's Place går till forskning, behandling och botemedel för ALS och ALS Association www. als. org!

Spring Break 25

The space was great. We loved that you could hear and see the river from back deck. Views were amazing. We fished in the back yard. Plenty of room to spread out. Will be back for sure.

Spent my 50th birthday here and it was fantastic. Words don’t describe the feeling you have walking out on the porch hearing and seeing the river. It was perfect for 9 people.

Family's Summer Get-a-way

Plenty of room for our entire family to enjoy inside and outside. We had so much fun tubing the river, hanging in the game room, and lounging on the awesome deck with the view. Would highly recommend!andlounging

Great spacious cabin

This was a wonderful spacious cabin with a good blend of modern and rustic feel. The property is a clear highlight with a big yard on the river, one neighbor to the side and across the street but overall fairly private. It is right next to a state highway but with minimal traffic so it wasn’t a bother. We fished and caught a couple rainbow trout as well as plenty of creek chubs. The river itself is nice but there is some debris buildup and possible beaver nesting. Water itself doesn’t get more than about 4-5 feet by the property but overall good stretch of river to be by. The cabin is very spacious and fit 6 guests very well. The appliances and light fixtures are modern and easy to use. Every room was clean and appealing. The bedrooms were a bit barren and the beds a bit stiff. Bathrooms were big and clean but lacking in water pressure . The kitchen could use some things, there was only a single oven mitt, no salt and pepper provided incase someone was assuming it would be stocked with that. The deck was wonderful with a great table to eat at, rocking chairs, a little fire pit area, and swing on the bottom deck. The deck however is not screened in. As for amenities, this place had a lot to do, cards, board games, puzzles, tv, pool, fusball, darts, hot tub. However, hot tub fits 4 but water overflowed after 3 of us got in. Darts for the dart board were all broken. Pool table needed new chalk. Overall a wonderful stay with only minor things to critique. Definitely a must stay.

Great cabin!

Loved this cabin. So much room for our whole family. Loved the 2 master bedrooms and the beds in the masters. Loved having that great yard with the river right out the back door! Vacasa was the best rental company to vacation with. Customer service was stellar

Gorgeous cabin and property

The cabin is beautiful and super comfortable. Everything you could possibly need for cooking, entertainment, playing games inside and outside. For us, it was all about the property for fishing and enjoying the outdoors. We'll look forward to our next stay here for sure!

Overall great cabin

Beautiful cabin in beautiful location. It’s around a 30 min drive to Blue Ridge. Overall it was VERY clean but we did have a couple of things that could have been better. The main bedroom rug smelled strongly of dog when we arrived. Also, some of the blankets and throws were covered in dog hair. We have a few with allergies so we had to wash bedding the first day. The kitchen, bathrooms, etc, were all very clean though. I think these were probably just missed. We used febreeze for the smell but the rugs really need to be cleaned/replaced. The hot tub is older and kept flipping the breaker so we didn’t get to use it as much as we would have liked. Over all for a family with dogs, this would be a great place to stay. The river is beautiful and there are tons of amenities right on the property. The kitchen was very well stocked. Our GPS actually brought us to it just fine but we did follow the directions given just in case.

Weekend Getaway

Enjoyed our stay and were grateful that the property allowed pets, as we had one in tow, however the cleanliness of the cabin could have been better. Upon arriving there was a strong stench of pee in one of the bedrooms upstairs - we closed that room off for the duration of our stay and avoided that room completely. The pet hair was excessive - stuck to all rugs, sofas, throw blankets, and beds. The hair even started to form tumbleweeds throughout the home.

The river is so close and beautiful. Bring food for cooking because you’re not close to many restaurants or stores. Kitchen is well stocked and plenty of gathering room for your family.

Even better than the pictures!

My family - all 10 of us plus 2 dogs - spent Thanksgiving at Kenny’s Place and loved it! It was even nicer than the pictures! Tons of indoor and outdoor space to play. The home is out in the country but only a 40 minute drive to either Blue Ridge or Dahlonega!

Tranquil and great view

They house is maintained and cleaned and home filling and The view of the river is tranquil and breathtaking. The only disappointment is the road traffic that wakes you up before Dawn
