Perfect spot

This apartment was the perfect place for our week in Paris. It’s located close to the metro (line 13), with groceries and bakeries and other food very close by. The apartment is spacious and had plenty of room for our group of 5. Patrick was very helpful when checking in and out. Nothing but praise for our time here!

Excellent Spacious Apartment and Location

The host was really great to work with and very responsive. We appreciated the written directions for entrance to the building and apartment, appliances, devices and accessing the trash bins in the basement. All 3 beds were very comfortable with plenty of pillows, linens etc. The shower is great. There were 3 of us traveling. One of us showered in the evening and 2 in the morning and there were no issues with lack of hot water. The kitchen is well stocked. The furnishings were comfortable. The location is excellent! You are out of the tourist area and in a neighborhood of locals with so many amenities. We loved the cheese shops, patisseries and boulangeries and wine shops, grocery markets and cafes all steps from or very near the apartment. The Plaisance Metro stop is just a block or two and is very convenient. We absolutely loved L’Essentiel - Restaurant Paris 14 which is just a couple blocks from the apartment (we ate there twice). And you can get delicious rotisserie chicken across the street from the metro stop for a take home meal. The apartment stays nice and warm on cold winter nights. All of us would stay again - really loved it. If you don't like light in your bedroom bring an eye mask since the bedroom shades don't block daylight (not a negative). The bedrooms and living/dining area are very spacious and there was plenty of space in the bathroom and kitchen. Thank you Patrick for a wonderful apartment and experience.

Terrific family apartment

I stayed here for a week with my three youg adult grandsons. We all enjoyed the spacious living room and bedrooms. Location across from a Monoplex, bakery and cheese shop was perfect...and metro station very close. We all agreed it was wonderful apartment for our needs.

Everything you need - away from tourists

I cannot wait to stay here again. Flat is spotless and well-equipped - with the one omission being a v small coffee maker. (It's possible I did not find something that was already there: the kitchen was otherwise very well stocked.) Things important to me: though on a lively street, the apartment was very quiet at night. Things that might be important to you: There is only one key, which means you might have to get creative if you and your companions are not always together. One of the bedrooms is blocked off from the living room with a curtain. The bathroom is modern and well equipped but the hot water does run out fast, so take quick showers. None of these things were issues for us, but I want to be complete here. The flat it is situated in the historically bohemian 14th, a little off the beaten tourist track. At least in November, we didn't see one other tourist on the street all week, which I found absolutely delightful. The Metro is two short blocks away, and all of Paris is therefore easy to get to, but you can pretend you are a resident. There are many wonderful shops and cafes at your door, with at least five bakeries, several cheese shops, a wine store, a fish guy, a bookstore etc. Right across the street is Monoprix, with an excellent supermarket in the basement. There is a farmer's market Sundays and Wednesdays on the Rue Villemain, two blocks away, and the massive Vanves flea market on weekends. You could have a great time never leaving the neighborhood.

Wonderful spot!

I booked this spot for my adult kids and their partners for a family trip to Paris. It was terrific! The location is great - everything you need is in the neighborhood and the metro stop is close by. The apartment itself is spacious and clean, with lots of light, and we loved the kitchen. It became a home base for us all and we had several meals there. Finally. Patrick is an excellent host! He gave clear directions and was easy to work with. Would definitely stay here again if I ever go back to Paris!

Fantastic Apartment!

Perfect Paris apartment! The bedrooms are big, the beds are comfy, and the apartment has everything you need. Felt like home. The pictures are 100% accurate (see last picture with the curtain - this was a concern for us but worked out great/living room has a door to make the room private at night). The location is close to Line 13 and Bus 59. There are several restaurants, shops, bakeries, and grocery stores within a 5 minute walk or less! We had croissants every morning (out and back in 5 minutes). Although a little far from sites - you can walk. For example we walked easily to Luxembourg Gardens and then further to Latin Quarter/Seine/Louvre area. (We are walkers though!) We often took the metro as well. We all agreed it was nice staying in a non-touristy area to get relief from the crowds of people. We stayed for 7 nights and didn't want to leave. There was also a lockbox for the key so that our group go come and go at different times and this was VERY helpful! Thank you Patrick for everything. You were very friendly, responsive, and helpful. Would highly recommend this apartment to others.

Family stay in Paris

Our family of four ended our European vacation with a few days in Paris. This apartment was the perfect place for us. We had room to spread out, relax, and live like Parisians for a few days. There are so many nearby grocers, markets, and any kind of amazing food you could think of! The building is quiet and felt very safe and nearby to many sites as well as an easy subway or Uber ride to the big places. My kids loved being able to walk a couple of minutes to get fresh bread every morning. I appreciated the washer and dryer in the unit! The apartment was very well stocked: cooking supplies, kettle, soap, even laundry detergent! The check in process was very convenient and easy. Would highly recommend!

Family Holiday

We came on a family holiday so it was important to us to have space. This apartment is EXACTLY as it appears in the listing. There are great shops nearby and very easy access to the metro station. We enjoyed being out of the city center and REALLY loved the blackout shades for the long June days. Thank you so much for providing such an amazing place for us to create wonderful memories.

Patrick's apartment in a Montparnasse neighborhood was exactly what we were looking for in Paris! Plenty of room for 3 adults (me, my partner & his adult daughter) & two grandkids with two bedrooms, a living room, large entry area, well equipped kitchen, large bathroom & a delightful street-side balcony. Shopping & restaurants within easy walking distance & taxi or Bolt service convenient & affordable to any of the major tourist destinations. Very clean & well supplied with plenty of pillows, towels, comfy beds & furniture, very tastefully decorated. I could live there in a heartbeat! Patrick was quickly responsive (& patient) with our questions. I felt so smart in choosing this VRBO for our last few days of a month-long trip in France & Spain. Thank you, Patrick, for clearly caring deeply about your guests' experience!! We love Paris.

Excellent Apartment

This apartment was clean and well appointed. It is in a nice neighborhood with plenty of shops, yet surprisingly quiet. Very near the metro so easy to get around to see all that Paris has to offer. It was also very secure, with two locked lobby doors, and an elevator that required a code to get to the 5th floor apartment. The host was also excellent and communicated well. A 5star experience.

Perfect apartment to enjoy Paris!

What a perfect place to stay for my husband, our daughter, 12-year old granddaughter and me during our 10-day visit to Paris! It couldn't have been better. Patrick is a stellar host and excellent, timely, clear communicator. The nicely decorated apartment is on an upper floor of a newer apartment building with a charming balcony that looks across to rooftops and chimneys. The location is just a few blocks from the Metro line, directly across from one of many chocolate shops, kitty-corner from a large grocery store, which is next to a mouth-watering bakery (also one of many within 3 blocks). There are cheese shops, wine shops (note the plural), a fresh fish market, a wonderful green grocer, and restaurants, many which offer take-out. Patrick provided a list of favorite dining options. In addition, it had a washer and lines to hang laundry in the bathroom. Thank you, Patrick, for making our visit relaxed and comfortable.

Gorgeous Plaisant apartment

We absolutely loved the apartment. It was only minutes from the Metro with easy access to Central Paris. There are lots of shops, restaurants and bolangaries outside and the apartment was well stocked with glasses, plates etc. Beds were super comfortable. We had problems with an access code and Patrick sorted it swiftly and efficiently. Would definitely book again.

Live like the locals

Wonderful stay away from the tourist!!!! Very quiet apartment building. Little noisy outside as its a busy street due to the numerous small business (Cafes, Bistros, Bakeries, Grocery Store...). Very comfortable apartment with everything you need. Only discrepancy from the photos, the small twin bed in the living room is no longer there. 3-4 minute walk to Metro Line 13 (either direction to Pernety or Plaisance). We practice Yoga regularly so we found a wonderful spot just 5 min walk from apartment (Corp & Form Studio Pernety - 45 Rue Bénard 75014 Paris - www.studiocorpsetforme.fr) We enjoyed grabbing coffee in front of the Pernety metro and watching the Parisians heading to work and parents taking kids to school. Found an amazing French restaurant around the corner "La Cantine du Troquet Pernety". So good we visited twice. Also visited twice Les Tontons for their large variety of tartare. Picked up daily delicious strawberries from the several markets around the block. Truly great stay!

Functional apartment for a decent price

Paris has gotten really expensive but we enjoyed this apartment in the working class 14th. Close to metro and bus lines, with grocery and restaurants all around. We had an issue with hot water running out fast but we are used to our giant water heaters in America. To note one of the bedrooms is not completely private, but the beds were comfy (medium firmness). We would probably stay again.

Comfortable stay

Patrick was an amazing host. He communicated with us promptly anytime we needed information after we booked his property. We don’t speak French. He had no issues communicating in English. He gave us an early checkin since our flight arrived in the morning and met us at the apartment. He walked us through everything and was very pleasant. Very gracious host. The apartment itself was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. Every detail was thought through; plenty of storage in each room, extra bedding and blankets. The kitchen was stocked with everything if you wanted to cook. We didn’t cook but we could have cooked some meals comfortably if we had time. We are a family of three adults and a teenager. We all slept comfortably. Beds were great. Even though the apartment was right by a busy street, we heard no noises at night and it was very peaceful. The neighborhood was very beautiful. There were a lot of little grocery shops, pastry places, restaurants, even a vegan bakery. The metra stations were very close by. We took the trains many times and were able to reach many beautiful tourist sights. Uber was also able to find us with no trouble.. We will highly recommend Patrick’s apartment if you ever visit Paris. Thank you Patrick for a wonderful 6 day stay in Paris!

Amazing apartment!

Patrick and his apartment deserve 6 stars! Patrick was a wonderful host, the apartment is very modern, beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean and comfortable. We also loved the neighborhood, it is on a small side street (not the commercial side of Montparnasse). The building is steps away from artisanal boulangeries/patisseries (bakeries), fromageries (cheeseries), wine stores, chocolatiers, cafes and bars, seafood and produce stands, plus the Monoprix is just across the street. There are two metros (13) and a bus line, it is a short ride to any major attraction. I would recommend this for anyone who is looking for a place that is close but not in the heart of the tourist areas, you can stay here and truly feel that you are living like a Parisian!
