Attraktiva georgiska stuga, bekvÀmt inredda och moderniseras, men behÄller sin charm och karaktÀr. Dess situation Àr en av de bÀsta i byn pÄ hamnen framsidan ser ut till havs. 2 sammantrÀdet rum och separat matsal kök. Den frÀmre vardagsrummet (se bild) har en underbar utsikt genom en bild fönster över hamnen och öppet hav. Staithes Àr en historisk fiskeby i North York Moors National Park, ett tillhÄll för konstnÀrer och fotografer. Det finns mÄnga originaloljemÄlningar i stugan mÄlas av mor till nuvarande Àgaren.
Stugan var hÀlften av den ursprungliga "Shoulder of Mutton" pub. Byn var full av smugglare passager.

Facilities were a bit old fashioned but the property was very clean and in a great location with a lovely picture window looking over the bay.

Parking was in secure garage at the top of the bank. (Temporary parking available for unloading.) Cottage is beautifully situated with bay window overlooking the harbour right above the water. It was spacious and very clean and comfortable but retained lots of old and original styling and quaint decorations. Some updating might be desired but it was all in keeping with the special atmosphere of Staithes.

Family holiday with fantastic views

We really enjoyed our stay here! Great price for a great property. The views of the harbour were wonderful and the location itself was exactly what we were looking for. The beds were super comfy and the dishwasher came in very handy :) we would definitely stay here again, thanks so much!

Fantastic location

We had a really nice stay at Garth End cottage. The quirky cottage was set in a fantastic location in the centre of Staithes overlooking the harbour. The cottage itself was well equipped with superb views. A great place to spend the week

wonderful stay

We stayed in Garth End cottage for 3 days and didn't want to leave. The cottage is a little gem and the village lovely. We will definitely return; what a relaxing time we had!

A lovely cottage in a great location. Garth End Cottage was everything we wanted and hoped for - comfortable, well-equipped and well-situated both for walking and relaxing and taking in the sea views and everything else Staithes has to offer. Definitely on our list of places we’d like to stay again.

Another fabulous stay

This was our second stay in this lovely, comfortable cottage with its wonderful views. Everything you need is provided... plus a welcoming bottle of wine,which was a nice touch. Hilary is an excellent host. We will certainly be booking again.

On reaching the cottage down the hill through the cobbled street lined with shops a cafe's, we entered the cottage and view over the harbour is spectacular.

Hilary is a retired social worker whose parents bought the cottage in 1954. Her mother was a painter and loved the village. Hilary and her husband Chris took over the cottage in 1980 and have totally renovated it.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

The village is full of history. It is visually a very beautiful village nestling in the natural harbour made by the Cowbar and the Staithes Beck. The property is spacious and although modernised, retains many of the old features. With its harbourfront position It has some of the best views out to sea in the village.
