Dob Cottage är en nästan ny stenhus stuga i en trevlig innergård, bara en kort promenad från byns centrum med alla dess bekvämligheter. Stugan är utrustade med alla mod. kons. och ändå har de karakteristiska balkarna så typiska för området. Sovrummet på bottenvåningen har 2 bekväma 3ft sängar (kan konvertera till dubbel) med 300/400 thread count egyptisk bomull sängkläder och ficka resårmadrasser. Badrummet har ett badkar och separat dusch samt wc och handfat .. En trappa upp finns en öppen planlösning kök / vardagsrum med alla moderna faciliteter, inklusive en 42 "platt-TV med DVD-spelare.
Inte mer än två minuters promenad bort, det finns bra restauranger, take-away, butiker, bankomater och massor av landsbygden promenader, så inget behov av att använda bilen. Det finns en fördelas parkeringsplats precis utanför dörren till stugan.
Den charmiga byn Holmfirth med sina många udda små butiker och matställen, ligger bara 5 minuters bilresa bort.

Wonderfully comfortable and fab location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It is so central, the sun shines into the upstairs living area and the beds are so comfortable. Jenny is a gracious host and the location is central to all we wanted to do. Would definitely recommend, thank you Jenny .

A Happy Holiday

A very well appointed property in a quiet location. The owner lives close by and is friendly and helpful. Plenty to see and do in the area. We can thoroughly recommend this cottage.

Christmas break

Lovely cottage as described,village literally around the corner with some lovely restaurants and bars,nice little bakery and a co-op.Bus service regular into holmfirth,Huddersfield and the surrounding area.We went on a couple of walks which were lovely and picturesque.The cottage itself provided for everything a really nice place to stay,we actually enjoyed just watching Netflix and chilling out with host Jenny at hand should we have required anything.We will definitely return for more exploring or just to get away from it all and relax.

Beautiful cottage in a central location

Absolutely wonderful stay,would recommend this cottage very highly.Stylish, clean and is in a lovely village close to shops and places to eat. Great fish and chip shop around the corner. Friendly owner,but leaves you to enjoy her exceptional cottage.

I have lived in this beautiful, rustic and friendly area now for 16 years, and although I'm from "over the hills" they don't seem to hold it against me! I retired a short time ago, and that gave me the opportunity to start my little holiday let business which has been a dream of mine for some time. I live in close proximity to Dob Cottage and after driving around the North West as a self-employed rep. for many years, I am enjoying the delights of this area, with it's wonderful characters,scenery and "things to do".

Varför värden valde detta boende

I love this area because of the spectacular scenery, and the amazing wildlife. For birdwatchers, it is a very worthwhile area to visit, with the owls and the curlews on the moors, and the woodland birds in the valleys.. It is a very "arty" area with many talented artists and sculptors. There are several events throughout the year ie.Art Week, The Folk Festival etc. The local Tourist Information Office has the details! Country pubs and good restaurants and loads of good walks make it an excellent tourist destination. The Holme Valley is picturesque, rustic, and has a warm and welcoming charm all of its own. I like to think that Dob Cottage is a relaxing and comfortable place to come home to, after a busy day of exploring!

Also, the proximity of the cities of Manchester, Leeds and Sheffield, make it ideal.
