Dob Cottage Àr en nÀstan ny stenhus stuga i en trevlig innergÄrd, bara en kort promenad frÄn byns centrum med alla dess bekvÀmligheter. Stugan Àr utrustade med alla mod. kons. och ÀndÄ har de karakteristiska balkarna sÄ typiska för omrÄdet. Sovrummet pÄ bottenvÄningen har 2 bekvÀma 3ft sÀngar (kan konvertera till dubbel) med 300/400 thread count egyptisk bomull sÀngklÀder och ficka resÄrmadrasser. Badrummet har ett badkar och separat dusch samt wc och handfat .. En trappa upp finns en öppen planlösning kök / vardagsrum med alla moderna faciliteter, inklusive en 42 "platt-TV med DVD-spelare.
Inte mer Àn tvÄ minuters promenad bort, det finns bra restauranger, take-away, butiker, bankomater och massor av landsbygden promenader, sÄ inget behov av att anvÀnda bilen. Det finns en fördelas parkeringsplats precis utanför dörren till stugan.
Den charmiga byn Holmfirth med sina mÄnga udda smÄ butiker och matstÀllen, ligger bara 5 minuters bilresa bort.

The property was fully equipped with everything you would need and more. Jenny is a super thoughtful host, and had a lot of little things available for you as guest that made it feel like home. I had an amazing stay. The property is very well located. Walking distance to restaurants, the grocery store and some pubs. Thank you again, I felt right at home.

What a beautiful little cottage this us. Right in the heart of the community of Honley. Close to lots of cafes shops and restaurants. Five minutes drive from Holmfirth where there is lots going on. Highly recommend. Jenny the owner could not have been more accommodating. 5*

Wonderfully comfortable and fab location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It is so central, the sun shines into the upstairs living area and the beds are so comfortable. Jenny is a gracious host and the location is central to all we wanted to do. Would definitely recommend, thank you Jenny .

Tip-top property

Excellent cottage, great location. We found it was an ideal base for visits around the area including Holmfirth and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped.

Absolutely wonderful stay,would recommend this cottage very highly.Stylish, clean and is in a lovely village close to shops and places to eat. Great fish and chip shop around the corner. Friendly owner,but leaves you to enjoy her exceptional cottage.

Impractical for stays over one week because of inadequate laundry facilities, and no cleaning service provided during the stay. The overall property is not cleaned thoroughly and in general need of TLC and maintenance. This property is cramped for two people.

I have lived in this beautiful, rustic and friendly area now for 20 +years, and although I'm from "over the hills" they don't seem to hold it against me! I retired a few years ago, and that gave me the opportunity to start my little holiday let business which has been a dream of mine for some time. I live in close proximity to Dob Cottage and after driving around the North West as a self-employed rep. for many years, I am enjoying the delights of this area, with it's wonderful characters,scenery and "things to do".

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

I love this area because of the spectacular scenery, and the amazing wildlife. For birdwatchers, it is a very worthwhile area to visit, with the owls and the curlews on the moors, and the woodland birds in the valleys.. It is a very "arty" area with many talented artists and sculptors. There are several events throughout the year ie.Art Week, The Folk Festival etc. The local Tourist Information Office has the details! Country pubs and good restaurants and loads of good walks make it an excellent tourist destination. The Holme Valley is picturesque, rustic, and has a warm and welcoming charm all of its own. I like to think that Dob Cottage is a relaxing and comfortable place to come home to, after a busy day of exploring!

We chose this area to live because, although we have all the facilities we need in the village, we are surrounded by beautiful countryside.
Also, the proximity of the cities of Manchester, Leeds and Sheffield, make it ideal.
