River House är ett nybyggt, vackert (men bekvämt) möblerat hem med fantastisk utsikt över en idyllisk fågelvatters tidvattenmyr som strömmar ut till Nantucket Sound.

Detta centrala luftkonditionerade hem har ljusa öppna vardagsrum och matplatser med stora fönster med utsikt över vattnet, ett graciöst matsalsbord och ett ljust, nytt, fullt utrustat kök med dubbla diskmaskiner och granitbänkar. Dubbla dörrar leder från vardagsrummet till ett utomhusdäck med sitt- och matplatser med utsikt över vattnet.

Huset rymmer 8 personer (perfekt för en familj eller två par). Det stora sovrummet har en king size-säng och expansiv utsikt över vattnet. Gäst sovrummet har en queen size-säng och det tredje sovrummet rymmer upp till 4 med 2 enkelsängar och en tvilling dagssäng med en rulla. Alla rum har eget badrum med privata toalettrum och bänkskivor i marmor.

Always a great stay!

This is our second time staying at the River House and it’s truly the best! It accommodates our whole family, the outside setting is beyond gorgeous, the en suite bathrooms in each bedroom is absolutely key. It’s our favorite family getaway!

Relaxing views inside and out

Even better than the listing describes. The views of Nantucket Sound are amazing! Everything you need for a wonderful relaxing stay on the Cape.

Perfect in every way!

We knew we were in for a great stay at this beautiful home from the listing but it exceeded our expectations in every way in real life. The location was incredible, peaceful, idilic, out of the way but so close to everything. Watching the wildlife there during morning coffee was just the best! Marilyn was the perfect host & could not have been more helpful & responsive. This will not be our last time at this A*** home, could not recommend any more highly!

Delightful River and Sea View House

The River House is a very lovely property with all the amenities. The house functions extremely well for multiple people with all en-suite bathrooms, ample storage/closets, well stocked kitchen, and sweet little deck. Extra perks include games, bikes, 2 washer and dryers, workspace niche, and a welcome bottle of wine. The house was immaculate but we did need to supply our own linens (and tissues?)which we must have missed in the description- but I have yet to figure out where to find that info on the listing…There was some forgetfulness via the owner about booked dates which resulted in a surprise walk in visit and a lag in response regarding a check in question but it wouldn’t deter me from booking this wonderful property again! Truly a great place to stay and highly recommended despite a few hiccups.

An absolute dream

This house was an absolute dream. It’s where I got ready for my wedding, where I put my dress on for the first time with my mom and grandma, and where our entire family made so many cherished memories. We used the bikes, went on so many walks through the neighborhood, rented kayaks and kayaked right outside the house, played board games in the living room, cooked countless family dinners. It truly was so special. I loved it so much I cried on the last day, happy tears of course. I hope we’ll be renting it again in the near future.

Chatham waterfront gem!!!!

House and location made the perfect vacation!!!! It was so relaxing sitting on the deck with our morning coffee. We so enjoyed all the nature around us. You could also hear the ocean in the distance. It made for a perfect cape cod vacation.

River House was perfect--extremely clean and had everything you could possibly need. Marilyn was very easy to communicate with and made the experience stress-free. Not to mention, the view is absolutely gorgeous!

I and my husband Jack built the River House in 2014 on waterfront property that has been in Jack's family since 1925. It was lovingly designed by our daughter who is an architect in NYC. We live in Chevy Chase, MD and treasure family vacations in the Riverhouse with our 4 adult children and their spouses. Jack and I have spent much of our professional careers in executive positions in non-profit organizations. We are thrilled to share our unique home, with its beautiful amenities and breathtaking water views, with others who are seeking a tranquil, picturesque get away.

The River House is located on Mill Creek, a tidal river that flows into Nantucket Sound on the elbow of Cape Cod. Stunning water views (of Mill Creek and Nantucket Sound) are available from many rooms in the light-filled home. The tidal marsh is a bird watcher's paradise at low tide, featuring blue heron, snowy egret and osprey. At high tide it is perfect for a swim or kayak to Nantucket Sound. It is an easy .9 mile walk (or 4 minute drive) to the closest beach, close to a system of bike trails in and around Chatham, within walking distance to a leading gourmet restaurant, an easy drive to the quaint town of Chatham, full of boutique stores, restaurants and bars, and close to many beautiful beaches in and around Chatham, including the stunning National Seashore.
