The house is located between Fertilia and Maristella surrounded by nature and directly neighboring the Nuraghe Palmevera. It is a perfect place for people valuing peace and tranquility. The house is equipped with everything that you need. Our host Tania was very friendly and helpful and gave us some great tips concerning restaurants, beaches and hiking possibilities. We will definitely book again!

A lovely property in a great location.

This is a lovely, simple property in a great location, close to a variety of beautiful beaches & 10 minutes drive from the historic town of Alghero. We had a warm welcome from Lucia on arrival, when she showed us around the villa, suggested places of interest to visit & recommended good local restaurants.

Me and my fiancé had the pleasure of staying for a week in June in this delightful countryside cottage, and we can honestly say that it was the perfect blend of peaceful retreat and convenient location. The interior was cozy and yet stylish, a perfect mix of rustic charm and modern comfort, a well-equipped kitchen and a super comfortable bed. Despite the countryside setting, we were amazed at how conveniently located it was. In just few minutes by car, we could reach local shops, cozy cafes and a variety of restaurants, not to mention the beautiful beaches nearby, the charming city of Alghero and the typical village of Fertilia, with its close airport.Lucia, the host, was incredibly welcoming and provided us with great assistance and local recommendations. She really puts a lot of love into maintaining the property, and it showed in every detail.If you are looking for a peaceful rural retreat without feeling isolated, this cottage is the ideal choice. It’s a wonderful base for both relaxation and adventure.Thanks Lucia for everything!

Oasi di tranquillità e silenzio nel verde

Siamo stati benissimo in questo cottage funzionale e ben arredato, circondato da uno spazio verde curato. Abbiamo apprezzato la vicinanza alle spiagge ed il fatto di trovare al rientro un'oasi di tranquillità e silenzio. L'inserimento del cottage in un'area protetta è un valore aggiunto. Come anche poter apprezzare un cielo stellato impossibile da vedere in città!

Simple Perfection

We regularly rent properties for our holidays and from start to finish this was one of the best we have stayed in. The cottage was exactly like the pictures. Everything was supplied and was in pristine condition. Most importantly it was spotlessly clean. Lucia could not have been more helpful in the booking process and making sure that our stay went as well as possible. For us the location was perfect. You do need a car but you are only 5 mins from Fertilia and 10 mins from Alghero with a huge choice of quality restaurants. There are lots of activities, scenic drives and good beaches nearby. We loved our short break and would have no hesitation returning to this property. In terms of improving it for future renters then having the option to borrow some bikes would have been good.

Wonderful

We spent a wonderful week in the Old Sheepshed. A fine example of clever restoration of an old building. Very clean and comfortable, it provided everything we needed for a relaxing and peaceful break. It will remain one of our favourite places to stay

Beautiful villa

The sheep-shed is anything but. It was magnificently renovated and is incredibly comfortable and well appointed. The grounds are beautiful, with apricot and and lemon trees and a neighboring vineyard. The location is perfect. A mere 10 minutes from charming Alghero, and a 5 minutes to a lovely beach. Lucia's place is simply perfect in every way. I highly recommend anyone visiting this area to book a few nights here.

Superb House, Great Location

This property was just amazing....everything it looks on the photos and more. Equipped to a very high standard with everything you could possibly need and spotlessly clean. Two terraces, so there is sun/shade all day...perfect for outside dining. Comfortable bedroom with aircon. The kitchen was just fabulous, especially is you cook in like us. Location was perfect for all good beaches and close to Alghero for great restuarants/bars/shopping. You will need a car.Lucia was always on hand if needed but gave us space to enjoy the tranquility of this wonderful property and gardens. Totally recommend. Thanks for one of the best holidays x

The perfect holiday cottage for two.

Although we had previously viewed the images on the website, we were still uncertain about the property. Any concerns we may have had were very quickly dispelled once we arrived. We were warmly welcomed by Lucia who showed us round. The conversion has been designed with imagination, in contemporary fashion, using quality materials. It was clean, well maintained and equipped with all the necessary items required by two people, and everything functioned perfectly. The garden and surroundings were charming and peaceful with plenty of furniture for relaxation. Our week's stay passed far too quickly - there's so much in this region to see and do. We would certainly recommend this holiday venue, without reservation.

SUPERB PROPERTY - NOT TO BE MISSED !!

Rarely do I praise properties in this way, but The Old Sheep Shed is a little gem which I would recommend to any couple looking to stay in the Alghero area. Ideally located less than 10 minutes from the main town, (5 minutes from village with 4 restaurants) it is perfect if you are seeking privacy and peace but only a couple of minutes from the nearest beach. The accommodation, itself, is first class. Well equipped in every way, the host Lucia has added little touches which give the spacious rooms and holiday experience that little extra. I would put his on par with 4-5* hotel but far more relaxing with both patios, front and back having seating, hammocks, swing seats and more. We would have no hesitation in returning or recommending the Old Sheep Shed.

You will stay in the old barn where my grandfather Gavino looked after the sheep and prepared e traditional Pecorino cheese.
This is not just a holiday home but it is a true Sardinian experience!
