Sympatiskt restaurerade stabila stugor i tvåhektar vattenmillkomplex från 1800-talet i den lugna byn Keldholme, men ändå bara 10 minuters promenad från Kirkbymoorside. Lugnt, välutrustade boende med linne och stora fluffiga handdukar, TV, video, mini hi-fi och centralvärme ingår. Det stora sovrummet med en king size-säng, och badrummet med badkar och power shower är nere. På övervåningen finns ett öppet vardagsrum med matplats och pentry utrustat med kylskåp, mikrovågsugn, elektrisk ugn och gasspis. Det finns gratis WiFi-åtkomst. Vi har fisketrätter på floden Doves sträcka som gränsar till våra paddor. Den stora trädgården är också tillgänglig för din användning. Frukost kan tillhandahållas i Molen efter överenskommelse. Det finns parkering på plats och vi är öppna hela året. Stugan ligger inom 15 minuters gångavstånd från den vackra stadskärnan Kirkbymoorside och bekvämt för North Yorkshire Moore, North Yorkshire Coast, Moors Railway, Castle Howard och York.

Lovely Area

Our stay was on the whole very good there were a couple of niggles the bed was a little hard for our liking but Karen sorted it to a manageable level quickly. The WiFi was not good unfortunately but all in all I would still give it a very good rating.

Cosy and comfortable

Enjoyed our week away, which was made all the better by the cosy cottage we had. Lovely and clean, superb shower room, very comfy and snug bed. Hosts were very pleasant and helpful. All in all an excellent time.

Located in a beautiful area. Clean and comfortable. Chris and Karen are great hosts. Had a wonderful stay and was able to visit all the places we love in this area of Yorkshire.

Great stay

Had to cancel due to lockdown but managed to get there at the second attempt. Not disappointed with the quality of the accommodation. Good location and a perfect place to visit the surrounding area. Would not hesitate to book again.

Home from home.

The cottage was perfect for a couple and had everything we could possibly need set in an area very accessible by car.The whole area was beautiful and provided all the amenities to cater for a holiday, could not fault anything.

comfy and cosy holiday cottage

We stayed for a week at this cottage in late July. Very cosy and comfortable place, with everything we needed. The bathroom was very luxurious, with a great drench shower. Kitchen is small but well equipped, and we made some nice meals to eat in some nights. The cottage is well located for access to York, Scarborough and Flamingo Land, so perfect for a week's break in Yorkshire. The owners were friendly and live nearby for any issues - they were able to print a voucher for us. We also walked into the nearby town Kirkbymoorside, and visited 4 of the local pubs – which were all good. Its only 10mins to walk. Would definitely recommend, and stay here again.

We live in the converted watermill on the other side of the courtyard from the cottage and are happy to answer any questions you have about the cottage or the area.

Varför värden valde detta boende

The Cornmill is in Kirby Mills, just a short (12 minute) walk from the centre of the historic market town on Kirkbymoorside and just off the A170 which runs from Thirsk through Helmsley and Pickering onto Scarborough. We are on the edge of the North Yorks. Moors, only 20 minutes from Castle Howard and 40 minutes from both the coast and the historic city of York.

Guests are welcome to use our garden (next to the car park) and adjoining paddocks for leisurely afternoons and barbecues. We can also offer cottage guests breakfast in the cornmill by prior arrangement and can provide laundry services for a nominal fee.
