Love this neighborhood, great home!

We enjoyed a 3-night stay at Six if by Sea. It’s located in a perfect community and walking distance to pickleball courts, shops and restaurants. House had everything we needed, great communication with Vacasa team. We had no issues!

Six if by sea!

Overall it was what we needed. The unit was clean. Very close to beach and everything in Carillon. Recommend a golf cart if you have little kids or a lot of beach stuff. Everything major worked like the AC, WiFi, the TVs and toilets. So no major issues.

Great house and neighborhood!

We got lucky with beautiful weather and water all week. We loved renting a golf cart so we could stay at the beach and pools all day. We also enjoyed the pizza place without leaving the neighborhood. We love Carillon!

Home is okay, wouldn’t recommend though

Beds were comfortable, house was clean upon arrival, and we enjoyed the front porch swing. Aside from that, we run into issues that made our stay less comfortable. AC wouldn’t cool properly and air filter was so clogged with dust it appeared to haven’t been changed in at least a year. Amenities listed jetted tub and there was no tub. Coffee maker didn’t work properly and kept putting grounds in our coffee. Dryer wouldn’t dry clothes after two hours on high heat. Dining room seating was awkward for our family of four, I can’t imagine it fitting adults. Knives in knife block had food on them. No cutting boards. So nothing people can’t live with but just didn’t make for a comfortable stay. We contacted Vacasa about the AC and a tech came and took the filter out but never came back to replace it.

Great Location with Minor Issues

The house was a great location and included all of the things we needed during our stay. It is close to the pool and pickleball courts. It is also a short walk to the beach, but I would recommend renting a golf cart if you have children or anything to carry. There are some basic maintenance issues I have suggested to the management team. None of the locks worked on any of the doors going to the outside. While Carillon is a very safe neighborhood, this is an obvious issue. The towel rack in the bathroom downstairs was broken off the wall, and the pieces were on the floor when we checked in. A light cover on the porch light fell off for no apparent reason. Thankfully, it didn’t break. The walls and baseboards have many scuffs and could use painting or wall cleaning and paint touchup. The paint on the beds upstairs was peeling off. The cords of some of the blinds are filthy. The light bulbs inside and outside of the house are different color bulbs which shows a lack of attention to detail. Some are daytime bulbs while others are soft white. Soft white throughout are better bulbs for the ambience of the home. There are no full-length mirrors in the house. If you have teenagers, they will point this out to you. :) The pocket doors in the house do not work properly. They are off track which makes them noisy when trying to close them. It also causes scuff marks on the door. The home could use blackout curtains on the bedroom windows for those with small children that would like to take a nap during the day. All of the bedrooms become very bright after about 7:30, even with blinds on the windows. These are small details that make a big difference when booking a vacation home. We truly had a wonderful time during our stay but think it is important to let others know about these issues. We would stay here again if we knew these issues had been corrected.

Outdated

The home is very outdated and looks as if a management company owns it but never comes to the house. The house has not been kept up with at all. Amenities are sparse. It was not the typical Carillon quality we have stayed in for the past 20 years. It is in a great location. Layout is nice-other than the TINY master shower and no pantry or place to hold food, etc.

Enjoyed our stay

This is the 5th yr of staying in Carillon Beach for Thanksgiving with the kids and grandkids. This house by far had a better equipped kitchen than any we've ever stayed in.

Great home away from home

We love this location for our annual Christmas break family vacation. This home had everything we needed for our home base while we adventured to the beach, walks, tennis, swimming, pickle ball and lots of walks around carillon.

Just okay, but it’s Carillon!

While we were so happy that we were able to book this house for the dates we required, the house itself was average. Be ready to be greeted on the porch by rusted outdoor furniture, and inside the door by stained furniture, dirty walls and carpet, and few touches to make one’s stay comfortable. The whole place could use a good paint job and deep cleaning. On the positive side, it’s Carillon, the place we have loved for many years. The house is a short couple of blocks from the beach and a short walk to Bellview playground and pool. I hate to leave a less than stellar review, but want others to know what to expect when booking this house.

Great Property for our Family

We love Carillon Beach and this home fit our family perfectly. The location was a very short walk to the Beach. Loved how Chair service was provided for our dates. Home was very clean, layout was perfect with 2 bedrooms upstairs and 1 downstairs. Loved how quiet the area is, part of why we chose it but still close to a ton of great restaurants with a short drive. Pool was close to the house and heated, plus tennis courts and Basketball Court. A perfect Spring Break!

Great trip !

This house was perfect for our family. Location is great - just a short walk to the beach and we could see the tennis courts from the porch. Everything was clean and property management communicated really well. We would stay here again for sure!

Location vs luxury

Location and proximity to beach and pool/tennis courts was great. We went with several other families who all stayed in the “tall and skinnies” so it was nice to all be together where the kids could house hop and all be close. The house itself could use a facelift or fresh coat of paint at the least. It was clean enough and perfect for the few days we were there, but I think I’d want something with a little newer and more appointed kitchen if we were staying for a week or more. Overall, for the price, I’d definitely rent it again!

Hurrication Ida

My wife and I evacuated the path of Ida with our two small children. The house was lovely. Clean, and had enough of the basic kitchen amenities for us to cook the meals we needed. Easy (short) walk to the beach, even with all of the kids toys. No busy highway to cross 👍. They were even able to accommodate us for two nights passed our planned stay as we figured out where to go next while power was still being restored back home. All in all this was a much needed relief and safe haven for us on a uncertain week. Thank you!!

Excellent Vacation House

Beautiful house, very comfortable and spacious. Great AC, good WiFi, beautiful area with cute shaded courtyard between the houses with twinkle lights.
