Bedrock Cottage har unik och fantastisk panoramautsikt direkt från vardagsrummet och köket, över hela Kenmare-floden och framåt till Caha-bergen på Beara-halvön mittemot. Mycket lugnt beläget på sin egen tomt på .5 hektar och bara några minuter från Wild Atlantic Way. Idealisk för den ultimata avkopplingen eller för att hjälpa till att läka, kreativt skriva eller som en idealisk bas för att turnera i Dingle, Iveragh eller Beara Peninsulas, tillsammans med Skellig-ringen och Ring of Kerry.

Bedrock Cottage är uthyrd endast på lördag till lördag under högsäsongen! Observera att vi inte kan ta emot barn under 12 år på grund av höjningen av fastigheten.

Väl inredda och välutrustade med ett frukostkök och ett stort vardagsrum / matplats. Stora franska panoramaförskjutande dörrar / fönster. Tillsammans med en kylskåp finns också en separat fristående fristad. Två sovrum, ett med dubbelsäng och badrum med handhållen dusch och W. C, och ett med två enkelsängar och eget badrum med dusch och W. C. Gashäll och elektrisk ugn. Tillsammans med kylskåpet finns en separat fristående fristad. Oljeeldad centralvärme (under golv). Handdukar / sängkläder tillhandahålls. TV. Tvättmaskin. Diskmaskin. Mikrovågsugn. Inga husdjur.

Fantastisch! Voor de 2e keer hier geweest, dus dat zegt wel genoeg. Een heerlijk comfortabel huis met prachtig uitzicht. Een huis om te ontspannen maar ook genoeg te doen in de omgeving, qua natuur en stadje kenmare op korte afstand.

Zum zweiten Mal am Wohlfühlort.Wir waren vor ziemlich genau einem Jahr schon einmal hier. Wir wussten also, was uns erwartet. 10 Minutwn von Kenmare, absolut ruhig gelegen.Steigerung des ganzen war, dass wir dieses Mal Patrick persönlich kennenlernen durften. Das war sehr schön (nicht nur wegen des zusätzlichen Weines, vielen Dank nochmal).Der Blick aus dem Fenster/von der Terrasse ist unglaublich schön (bei jedem Wetter).Doppelbett mit guten Matratzen, 2 Bäder, gut nutzbare Küche mit allem was man braucht. Die Sitzgelegenheiten im Wohnbereich sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber das ist Jammern auf hohem Niveau.Im letzten Jahr schrieb ich wohl, sollten wir nochmal nach Kerry kommen, dann wäre Bedrock Cottage unser Ziel.Ja, wiederhole ich hier und jetzt.

Sehr schönes Haus in hervorragender Lage

Das Haus ist wie im Internet beschrieben - es ist sauber und großzügig. Die Küche ist mit allem eingerichtet was man für einen Ferienaufenthalt braucht. Die Kommunikation mit Patrick war reibungslos. Wir können diese Unterkunft sehr empfehlen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Einfach nur: WOW!

Wir haben in den letzten 20 Jahren ziemlich viele Ferienhäuser gebucht, so begeistert waren wir selten (oder gar nicht?). Anfahrt gut beschrieben und knapp 15 Autominuten von Zentrum von Kenmare (~1,5 Std. Cork Airport), mit einem absolut phantastischen Blick auf die Bucht von Kenmare sehr ruhig und als Startpunkt für viele Unternehmungen perfekt gelegen. Wir kamen an, betraten das Haus und fühlten uns zuhause. Zweckmäßig eingerichtet, Landhausstil, alles stimmig, kein Schnickschnack. Im Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett ist die Matratze wirklich gut, die Sessel im Wohnbereich sind bequem. TV, Mikrowelle, Kaffeemaschine, Waschmaschine und Spülmaschine haben wir nicht benutzt, Herd und Backofen in der gut ausgestatteten Küche sind gut funktionierend, Toaster ebenso. Die Dusche im "kleinen" Bad ist ebenfalls gut funktionierend und das Wifi arbeitet störungsfrei. Einige basics in der Küche sind vorhanden (Essig, Öl, Salz, Pfeffer, Zucker, einige Gewürze). Zur Begrüßung gab es eine Flasche Wein, selbiger hat uns gefreut und gemundet. Vielen, herzlichen Dank hier nochmal an Patrick, den wir zwar nicht persönlich kennengelernt haben, der aber bei einem "Miniproblem" schnell helfen konnte. Sollten wir (durchaus denkbar), nochmals Kerry besuchen, würden wir diese Unterkunft garantiert wieder buchen. 🇮🇪☘

We had a wonderful week here! You have a beautiful vieuw from both the house and the garden. Nice cottage to stay in. Quiet location and also plenty to do in the area if you want. Patrick responded quickly to our questions. Recommended and would love to come back!!

Great location and a short drive from Kenmare

We had a great week at Bedrock cottage, we were able to easily access the Beara Peninsula as well as other magnificent parts of the Ring of Kerry. We especially enjoyed The Reeks and cycling on the roads in the area. The tearooms at Lord Brandon's cottage were really great (cash only). We had a fantastic time.

Quiet beauty. Spacious cottage for two (or more) There is an issue with insects, possibly termites. The management dealt with our concerns promptly and courteously.

A magical view. A helpful host. A gateway to Kenmare.

Bedrock cottage was indeed a marvel. The view of Kenmare Bay may be one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. The Irish light changed the mountain scape of Beara every hour. The house was very comfortable, the kitchen, bedrooms, bath, all splendid. The owner was very helpful and communicative. I would go back in a second.

Hiking in the Area

Very nice place with a spectaculare View. Everything you need is available. Contact and conversation was very friendly, Support was great Good place for Hiking Tours in that Area. We enjoyed a great week here.

Bedrock cottage: peace and quiet

Wonderful views over the Kenmare River. A great area for sitting outside, with picnic table. Big windows. Surrounded by trees, flowers and birds. Super efficient heating and Wi-Fi. Well-equipped kitchen. Quite remote, up a narrow lane, not suitable for driving back after an evening in the pub! Needs a little updating: curtains in bedrooms are very thin, letting in light in the mornings; a couple of floor lamps in the sitting area would make reading easier in the evenings; and a new sofa would be nice. Anyway we had a great stay - and if you like peace and quiet, and great views, this one’s for you!

Wonderful Cottage Above Kenmare Bay

We enjoyed an idyllic respite at Patrick’s cottage on a hill overlooking the bay. Bedrock Cottage was a perfect spot from which to take day trips to Beara and Kerry Peninsulas, Kenmare, Killarney, and more. The cottage is perched above a valley, where on our first evening we watched a dog herd cattle back to a nearby barn. The view was different every day; the changing colors in the water and various formations of mists between mountains and water invariably spectacular. Bees, birds, and butterflies…lovely flowers and foliage…the setting is truly bucolic. Patrick was very responsive to our questions. This was our first trip to Ireland, and we loved it all—from the music and pints in the pubs to the cow standing atop a boulder on a remote outcropping near Allihies. We hope to return soon!

Great place with amazing view on Kenmare bay

We spent a super week between Kenmare and Sneem, close to the Ring of Kerry. Very nice cottage, silent (no traffic) with a beautiful view over the Kenmare bay. Communication was very good, always quick/immediate. All necessary information was given prior to our arrival. No problems whatsoever - we would return whenever we should travel the same region in future.

Aussicht, Ruhe, Lage

Traumhafte Aussicht, ruhige Lage und dennoch gute Anbindung, wenn man den Killarney Nationalpark und den Ring of Kerry erkunden möchte. Uns hat der einfache gemütlich-rustikale Stil des Cottage gefallen. Hinweis für alle, die Wert auf eine große Glotze legen: Es gibt nur einen alten Röhren-TV. Die Fish-and-Chips-Bude nur wenige hundert Meter entfernt auf einem Parkplatz, ist zu empfehlen. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Klare Empfehlung.

I purchased this property because of its spectacular views across the entire Kenmare Bay, and onwards to the mountains on the Beara Peninsula. This peaceful and serene location, coupled with the spectacular panorama from each window, was a once in a lifetime opportunity to purchase such a place of great tranquility that I can eventually retire to. It's location just off the Ring of Kerry route, which is part of the Wild Atlantic Way, close to Kenmare which is a vibrant town on the Ring of Kerry, was of course a huge factor also, in making what was a very quick decision!
