What a wonderful stay

This is a fantastic place to stay, especially if you have a young family. The location was great, the perfect base from which to explore Angers, Saumur, The Loire Valley and even Puy Du Fou. Catherine and Phillipe were fantastic hosts. They made us feel like part of their family. If I could I would give them 6 stars!

Superb location, character cottage

A peaceful week in a quiet rural locale. Comfortable property, well equipped (though a washing machine might be a useful addition). Welcoming hosts, superb pool, lovely private grounds and no more than 10-15 mins from civilisation. Would come again for certain.

Delightful stay in authentic cottage

My family and I stayed in the Mûrier cottage which was just perfect for us. The cottage was simply charming with a very well-equipped kitchen and beautifully decorated living room. The hosts are lovely and extremely helpful! Delicious baguettes and croissants are available for ordering in the morning...The children loved the swimming pool...The area is ideally located to make trips. We visited several 'chateaux' and did a birdspotting boat trip on the beautiful Loire river...We wouldn't have minded staying longer!

Gezellig vakntiehuis op steenworp van kasteel met groot omheind landgoed

Het gezellig vakantiehuis staat naast een mooi kasteel en bijbehorende gebouwen. Vanaf het kasteel is het op het terras met zitjes lekker vertoeven met een schitterend uitzicht op het Loire dal en mooie zonsondergang. Het zwembad is rustig gelegen en goed verzorgd. Bij het huisje kan goed worden geparkeerd.

Gîte calme et chaleureux

Gîte très agréable, très bien équipé. La literie est très confortable. L’environnement est magnifique. Accueil chaleureux des propriétaires, très à l’écoute. Le feu de cheminée préparé en cette saison automnale était plus qu’agréable. Très bon souvenir de note grand week-end en famille.

Gemütlicher Cottage in weidläufigem Anwesen

Sehr angenehmer ruhiger Aufenthalt auf einem sehr grossem Gelaende. Sehr schoener Pool zum entspannen. Viele Ausflugsmöglichkeiten in der Loireregion.

Location très agréable

Nous avons séjourné en famille dans cette dépendance du château. Nous avons apprécié l’accueil chaleureux de la propriétaire, la propreté de la maison et le beau domaine boisé. Nous recommandons et y séjournerons une prochaine fois avec plaisir.

Lovely gîte

We, 2 adults & 2 boys (10&13) stayed for a week in the cottage & were as happy as clams. The cottage was lovely & spacious & had everything we needed for a holiday. (Even the cat came around to visit our garden every now & then which made us v happy.) Though beware of low ceiling height in the loft, which of course didn’t cause any problems for the kids but adults need to remember to duck when up there. The shared pool was perfect & we mainly had it to ourselves! The neighbourhood is very pretty & there is lots to keep one occupied & several nice restaurants within a short drive. The hostess Catherine is wonderful, very helpful & communicative. We can thoroughly recommend a stay & would love to return.

Catherine and Philipe are consumate hosts.

The property was exactly as portrayed and very easy to find. The views and the area are amazing and the pool is lovely and large with child safety of paramount concern.

Wonderful long weekend!

We loved our stay. The cottage is adorable. The perfect setup for our family of four. We enjoyed the pool, fishing in the pond, grilling and spending time outside. It was the perfect spot for exploring the region and Catherine’s recommendations were just perfect. Overall, a wonderful experience. By the time we left our boys were asking if we could live there!

Très agréable séjour

Gite tout confort, il ne manque rien! Literie agréable, cuisine bien équipée, chauffage très bien. La cheminée fut aussi appréciée pour le plaisir des yeux. Parc du château superbe et au calme. Nous reviendrons bien volontiers pour profiter de la piscine! Accueil chaleureux, merci

Wunderbarer Urlaub

Liebe Catherine! Vielen Dank für den wunderbaren Urlaub in Ihrem Ferienhaus. Wir haben eine tolle Woche im August bei Ihnen verbracht. Das Haus ist sehr sauber, die ganze Anlage inkl. Pool mit Liebe gestaltet und gepflegt. In der Küche ist wirklich alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Unten im Haus war es trotz sommerlichen Temperaturen angenehm kühl, oben kann man gut lüften. Der einzige kleine Nachteil ist die Holztreppe ohne Geländer zw den Geschossen, aber auch unsere 3jährige hat es mit etwas Übung alleine geschafft. Wir haben den Pool sehr genossen, den wir sogar oft für uns alleine hatten. Ganz toll waren auch die Fahrräder mit Kindersitzen für kleine Touren in der Umgebung. Ib der Umgebung gibt es so viel zu sehen, dass die eine Woche viel zu kurz war. Wir kommen sehr gerne bald wieder! Liebe Grüße, Christina

A Wonderful Place

The gite was superb and the newly built internal stairs for the upstairs bedroom was perfect for our children. The quality of the gite was perfect and our impressions improved further with the wonderful pool - which was an ideal temperature, great condition & amazing cleaning system - the location around the gite was even better with amazing views. The whole experience was made superb with the wonderful owners who made us feel as though we were at home with all their advice, contacting local places to arrange activities and arranging bread deliveries each morning - perfect hosts. The area is also very good with everything we were after from a holiday. The Berry Family

très bon séjour

séjour trés agreable au calme ,avec une piscine tres chaude et traité au sel ,tres grande , securité ,la location est propre,les propriétaires sont au petits soins et de bons conseils;les activités ne manque pas et vous etes a 1h 30 du puy du fou visite incontournable , a recommandé sans hésitation à des amis

très bon séjour

Etions en couple dans le logement pour 2 personnes pour 1 semaine. Très confortable et bien équipé, décoration apréciable. Environnement proche très agréable, la piscine à disposition en permanence. Propiétaires prévenants.Région magnifique, notamment le château de Brissac, Angers et les bords de Loire.

Wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful time at the Cottage - the owners are very nice and very helpful and had lots of great recommendations for us. The pool was fantastic, as is the quiet location. Something to note, as this could be a plus or a minus for different families, is that currently the second bedroom is completely independent from the rest of the cottage... you need to leave the cottage and walk through the garden in order to access that bedroom. This set up could work great for some families (teenagers would love the independence) but not so for those with young kids.

Charme et sérénité pour le cottage du Figuier...

Une semaine dans un cadre de nature très agréable. Le Cottage du Figuier, refait avec goût et simplicité, offre toutes les prestations de confort que l'on peut attendre…Et nous soulignons la gentillesse des propriétaires toujours aux petits soins si besoin!
