From the first night of our stay at Paradise Palms, we encountered 6 bats inside the home in 4 days. We notified Coastal Joe, who sent out Coastal Wildlife instead of moving us to another property immediately. Coastal Wildlife found a main point of entry from the outside to the inside of the home, which we sealed off from the inside. We then encountered more bats afterward. We called the emergency/after-hours number 6 times that evening, and our calls were never answered, and our message was never returned. We received a text the next morning (too late for us) which stated that they didn't know what had happened with the phone and the calls (it is stated in their literature that cell phones may not work there, but ours worked fine the entire time). Instead of answering the text, we presented at Coastal Joe's office in person to request to be moved to another property. We felt that their attitude was indifferent once we described our entire experience. We were then moved to another larger property, Attitude Adjustment, which is a beautiful property. We only stayed there two more nights. However, our vacation had been ruined by 4 nights of terror with these bats. Every night, we were forced to seal ourselves in our bedroom with towels under the door. Our two girls were too afraid to sleep at night, and we had to share an adjoining Jack and Jill bathroom (which we were lucky to have had), so that no one had to leave their room. We requested a credit for the 4 nights that were ruined but were told that the funds had to be shared between Paradise Palms and the new property, Attitude Adjustment. No concessions were offered, other than our move, to accommodate us for the inconvenience. Please do not rent this property until this issue has been fully resolved, so that no one else has their vacation ruined as we did. We paid too much money for this property to have had the experience that we did, and we should've been offered a full refund for PP.
