This home was gorgeous and in a beautiful area. The house had everything we needed and more! Very clean and big enough for 3+ people. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this to anyone! Definitely one to come back too!

Peaceful and scenic

The evenings here were so quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed watching the deer come out of the hills surrounding us and making their way to the brook/pond below. Since this is a newer development, there is construction going on during the day. But, even that was quiet.

Beautiful, quiet property!

This property was beautiful, clean, and quiet. It was close enough to Sturgis to not be right in town. We would stay here anytime of year!!

House was great.

Everything was as it was listed. Had one very minor issue with sheets for the extra bed but wasn't a big deal. Some people have had an issue with the rules of the house and the extra charges if you don't clean up after yourself. We had no problems. Treat it as if it's your house and your stuff and there won't be any charges.

Fees and cleaning

The property is lovely. But the early morning check-out time (9am) and potential extra charges if pillows are in the wrong room, furniture moved out of place, trash not removed upon leaving, washing two loads of laundry (towels washed and dried, then all sheets and pillowcases washed), cleaning the grill and careful use of the hot tub, gave our vacation a stressed undertone. We have to pay a cleaning fee up front, so I don't expect to do half the work before I leave. I personally go on vacation to get away from worry, laundry and cleaning.

Awesome property, but lots of rules.

The property is beautiful and located on a gorgeous piece of land. The only downside is the amount of rules that come with this stay. Yes it is easy to follow, but there are so many little things that you can potentially get charged with. My family and I were stressing over making sure the pillows were in the right rooms so that we would not get charged for them being in the wrong room. Other than that it was a very nice place to stay!

Relaxing getaway weekend

This house and property are beautiful. Overall we enjoyed our time here! Lots of rules to follow and wasn't keen on the camera inside the house facing the entry door but I also understand why it's there. Outside of the vacuum being dumped in the clean garbage can in the kitchen and sheets left on the couch, everything was very clean! After the checkout checklist, I'm not sure there is much left for the cleaners to do for the fee charged. Communication with the host was excellent.

Beautiful Getaway

My husband and I were so happy we booked this property! We woke up every morning and loved watching the wildlife out the front windows! We had a great experience and wished we could have stayed longer.

Rules

The property was beautiful and the views were immaculate. However, the amount of "rules" we had to follow "or else we would be fined" made it really hard to enjoy our time at the home. We were constantly worried we would do something wrong.

Disappointed

In the text message from the property owner before arriving, there was a sentence of welcome, then some instructions about the house then a sentence in the instructions for the hot tub that said: “You break it you bought it”. The patio and deck were very dirty, the hot tub filters were lying on the cement in the back of the hot tub, and when jets were turned on, so many suds formed that we had to scoop it off. Holes in basement bedroom screen with a very large spider inside the screen (about 3 inches in diameter, brown). Dead mouse in the window well. Notes all over with warnings of “extra fees” if you do “NASTY STUFF” in the hot tub that wasn’t even fit to use, move furniture, don’t put 2 loads of wash in the laundry before leaving, don’t have the current bed and pillow coverings in the correct rooms, don’t’ start the dishwasher before leaving. etc. Also had to put away dishes from the last renter in the dishwasher. Not sure what the over $200 cleaning fee was for. Instructions to clean BBQ grill after use but it wasn’t clean to start with, so we had to clean before and after use. I guess we are owed the grill cleaning fee of $25. Had trouble enjoying the house due to these issues. Most likely won’t rent another short-term rental again.

Beautiful house but hostess communication was unsatisfactory.

House and surrounding area are beautiful. It’s located about 15 min from Sturgis. We had rented house for 4 nights. However, we didn’t receive the check in code so emailed the Hostess about 4pm to ask about it. By 7pm after many emails and leaving numerous phone messages and receiving no response, we had to rent three Hotel rooms in Sturgis for the night. About midnight I received emails and phone calls. The hostess was very apologetic and offered to credit us for the hotel costs. She said she was not in town and had sent checkin information 1 week ago which I hadn’t received . We checked in next morning. Also heads up on having rules that if you don’t follow you will be fined. I really hate giving this a low rating but the delay in communication was unacceptable.

Great location, Great Stay!

Place was super clean, well stocked with everything you need for a vacation and great parking for the Mustangs during the Sturgis Mustang Rally. The drive to Sturgis and Deadwood are about the same in time. Loved being in the middle of the area, but have it quiet and comfortable. Ill be coming back next year!

Kool Deadwood nights stay

Overall a nice place to stay. Located close to Sturgis and Deadwood. The car port was smaller than it looked in picture so glad there wasn’t any bad weather because it would have not fit both cars under. Had a great time!

Varför värden valde detta boende

This house is beautiful and is in a great place for rentals. The Community is called Apple springs and is off Boulder Canyon CC, has ATV trails and is close to Deadwood and Sturgis. I hope to share the South Dakota experience with more people.
