Out Back and Beyond, väldigt lantligt, precis platsen att "komma ifrån allt"

Udder Barn ligger öster om vår fastighet. Stor entré - golv till välvt tak som leder till ett öppet kök / matplats. Fönster mot öster över stängslet. Ned trappan dubbelrum, fönster mot norr. Ned trappor våt rum med wc.
Trappor som leder till tvåbäddsrum (2 dubbelsängar med separata täcken) fönster öster och norr. Gångväg till mezzinine sittgrupp, två 2-sits soffor, fönster väster och norr. Tv-apparater med gratis vägg i köket / matplatsen, sovrummet på övervåningen och sittgruppen. Blueray-spelare i vardagsrummet med några DVD-skivor. Om du vill ha mycket mer val skulle du vara mer än välkommen att komma till huset och välja från ett brett urval, vi ville bara inte röra upp rummet.
Köket har en gasspis med kalorier och en enda ugn / grill. Det finns en mikrovågsugn, diskmaskin (med tabletter) och ett kylskåp med frysbox. Brödrost, långsam spis, strykjärn och bräda. Vi har inte tillhandahållit en tvättmaskin, men om du vill göra tvätt skulle du vara mer än välkommen att använda vår tvättmaskin och torktumlare.
En värmepump för luftkälla tillför energin för varmvatten och värme.
Det finns gott om parkering på en grusad uppfart och en blockerad asfalterad sittgrupp.

Home from Home!

Sue and Jim are very friendly and welcoming and pleasant to talk with. I loved the place as soon as we arrived and went in the door. It’s very open inside and nicely decorated, a good mix of old and new, and it’s very light when the sun is shining. It’s also well insulated, so no need to worry about getting cold if staying between late autumn and early spring. The accommodation is very clean! I always take cleaning products when I go and stay in holiday accommodation (I’m a germaphobe), but I didn’t feel the need to go around cleaning everything. Sue has thought of just about everything you could possibly need during your stay and provides tea, coffee, condiments, milk, bottled water, biscuits, blankets for snuggling down and watching TV or DVDs, which are available to use in the lounge area, nice quality towels and flannels. There are facilities for doing laundry, if needed, a small dishwasher and kitchen cleaning products are available as well. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be able to come back again next year. Thank you very much for your hospitality, Sue and Jim! ☺️ xx

Amazing place

We stayed recently for a weekend. The farm house is lovely.... nice and peaceful and everything you need. The use of the pool is an added bonus and we loved it. Would highly recommend this place and we would stay here again!

Can’t fault this place at all from start to finish we had a fantastic stay

We spent a few days at this beautiful place. Everything is as it’s detailed, the hosts were a pleasure to deal with, very friendly, the pool was absolutely perfect, and I cannot fault this place at all. We will be staying here once again and I highly recommend this for anyone wanting a relaxed break.

Udder barn is a brilliant place to stay surrounded by rural beauty with awesome friendly property owners. The surrounding villages are not that far away and they have great pubs with homestyle cooked grub. We saw deer, badgers and owls every time we drove back to the barn. The interior of this home from home is really clean and comfy with all mod cons you need including access to a washer & dryer and swimming pool! We cannot say enough about Sue and Jim who were so nice to us, we would definitely stay again and highly recommend Udder barn. Book with confidence! The Drayton family

What an amazing weekend, just what we needed to recharge the batteries. If you're looking for a remote getaway with stunning views, sunsets and nature this is for you. You will not find a better place if you're looking for peace and quiet. We will definitely be back to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Fantastic break from the world

I loved staying at Udder barn. The barn is modern and clean but has a real homely feel. You really do get a chance to relax and unwind. We really appreciated the drinks in the fridge and chocolates. The property is a few miles up a single track and you have limited Internet. This was fantastic as we got to switch off. We were unlucky enough to get caught in a storm that bought trees down and prevented us returning to the property. I can not praise the owners enough. They rescued us and got us safely back to Udder barn while the community cleared the road. I highly recommend staying here.

We bought Poplar Farm in 1992 and have spent the last 30 years renovating the house. That is ongoing as all old properties tend to be! In 2010 we saved the roof on the old dairy barn (circa 1740-1780) before it collapsed and decided to convert the barn into a holiday let, Udder Barn. It was a labour of love over a three year period - so my husband kept telling me! We completed the project in late 2015 and are hoping that you will come and stay and enjoy what we have created. We are chuffed to bits on how it has turned out and really want to share this lovely barn with you along with our beautiful huge skies - sunrises and sunsets.
We have an outdoor heated pool which is usually open from late April through to early October (depending on weather) which our guest would be more than welcome to use either for a swim or just sit around the pool and relax.

We choose to live here on the fens for the quietness, isolation and peace. We love it. Winter can be wet and wild, however, sitting outside on a summers evening is so quiet you can close your eyes and be anywhere in the world - it is so relaxing.
We hope you will join us and also appreciate this beautiful rural location our huge open skies and the abundant wildlife around us.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Isolated, very quiet, no traffic noise. Enjoy spectacular sun rises and sun sets, the beauty of the Fens is so different to any other area in England you will surprise yourself how quickly it grows on you. Fabulous light if you are a painter.
