Stort hus, underbara plats! Inbäddat i foten av Blue Ridge Mountains, nära historiska Shelby och Kings Mountain, NC. Vi har 5 tunnland av böljande kullar och lövskog, direkt på 400 "i vattnet. Gott om utrymme för att låta barn och husdjur springa runt! Bara 45 minuter från Charlotte, men världar bort från det liv och rörelse.

Moss Lake är en lugn, fjäder-fed sjö som är mycket ren (det är den primära vattenförsörjningen för Kings Mountain) där du kan paddla, fiska, åka vattenskidor och jet ski utan mayhem i andra sjöar i närheten av Charlotte. Nära till Kings Mountain, Historiska Shelby, Crowders Mountain, Schiele Museum, golfbanor och andra attraktioner - det finns massor att göra om du vill få ut och omkring.

Vattnet innehåller en stor privat brygga med förtöjningsknapar, bara några minuter från en offentlig landning så att få din båt finns det en vind! Med state-rekord bas, det är perfekt för tidigt på morgonen sportfiskare; med fantastisk utsikt, det är perfekt för en solnedgång kanottur. Eller, sparka på högvarv med din jet ski eller motorbåt. Oavsett din glädje, kan du njuta av din vattensport bort från folkmassorna för en avkopplande och rolig upplevelse.

På fastigheten finns en charmig bondgård med två sovrum och ett badrum och en halv bad speciellt inrättad för att rymma och underhålla stora grupper (ägarna har 5 barn, som alla tar med sig sina vänner för över natten sovande!) Med en queen size-säng i sovrummet, två våningssängar i det andra sovrummet, samt en utdragbar soffa i det stora rummet - som alla innebär att du kan sova upp till 8 bekvämt. Inkluderar nyrenoverat modernt kök och badrum, tvättmaskin / torktumlare, ny varmvattenberedare, A / C, etc. HDTV med DVD-spelare, gratis WiFi och en massa populära filmer för din användning. Vi har även en garderob full av böcker, pussel och brädspel om barnen någonsin slits ut från allt det roliga i solen.

Relaxing from the moment you arrive!

What a great way to celebrate retirement! Lovely property, beautiful open water lake view, secluded and private. Home had everything you need. Responsive hosts. Very much enjoyed my week at Moss Lake!!

Very tranquil and relaxing

My wife and I and of course our dog loved the relaxing atmosphere of the property. She enjoyed just floating the lake,my dog loved playing in the water with us, and I enjoyed the fishing. Would book again for sure.

Wonderful Home

Great accommodations and the most breathtaking views!! We came to celebrate my little brother's wedding and when he asked if he and his friends could just come by to sit by the lake before the big day I couldn’t have been happier! The owners do a great job to make their house feel like a home. I’ll add the view finders were an absolute hit!

Never a dull moment, between fishing (using the nearby launch), kayaking and canoeing, swimming in the lake, watching movies, playing board games and doing puzzles, there was never an “I’m bored.”

Relaxing time

Such a beautiful property with gorgeous views of the lake, a great dock, large deck, and great kitchen and living room. So private and restful. So many places to sit, kayaking was great, and a great place to fish!! Just lovely.

This is a very lovely property. The views of the lake are outstanding and you have lots of room to roam. The house was immaculate, beautifully restored, and was hands-down the best equipped/stocked home I have ever rented (and I’ve rented many).

A little piece of heaven

This house was amazing. Comfortable, well appointed and had everything we could ever need. The lake was great. We were able to swim every single day we were there. There was activity on the lake but overall it was quiet and peaceful. The outdoors is so nice. We really enjoyed our visit. We want to come back again.

5+ Stars for this bit of Heaven on the lake

This was our 25th home rental and this property checked all the boxes! Amenities and activities are provided for indoor and outdoor fun. Games, puzzles, kayaks, sailboat, fishing gear, & canoe! Our all too brief stay was outstanding. We swam the lake & did a lot of jumping off the dock. Very private property and our dog thought we were in summer camp. Labeled light switches, a fully stocked kitchen. We are ready to move in as is. We hope to make this an annual vacation spot when we visit grandpa! Already thinking about dates for next summer. Book this lovely home.

Private and quiet

Once you pull into Lohith, you are surrounded by trees on 3 sides and, of course, the lake. It was a very private retreat and we didn't hear anything from the neighbors. The long dock and sandy bottom lake, made for great swimming and untold amounts of cannonballs. We were in the lake every day. No weeds and clear water! Access to a canoe and 2 kayaks was a real bonus! The house layout is well suited for a family vacation and comes well stocked with everything you need. The kitchen and bathrooms are very nicely updated. The couch was comfy, the beds were comfy, the A/C was cold and the shower had great water pressure. Book a week at Lohith, you won't be disappointed!

Ultimate Relaxation!

A great property to relax with privacy, we were lucky to have perfect weather all week! The house was well stocked, over the top to accommodate us from the kitchen, super comfy bed, bathrooms, loved the mud room at the back entrance for your stuff when coming in from the lake. Enjoyed the swing at the bottom of the huge yard, kayaking everyday, the lake water was warm and very clean. Was able to set up our dome tent on the dock everyday and in evening for relaxation. Had great experiences and food visiting fantastic restaurants in nearby towns. (search online it's worth it!) I highly recommend this little charmer for a peaceful and quiet getaway, Thank you Steve and Michelle!

"Perfect place for an awesome family vacation."

We were traveling from Pennsylvania to the Charlotte area to meet our oldest daughter who was flying into Douglas Airport from Rome after 6 weeks of studying abroad, so we decided to turn the trip into a week-long family vacation. We are so glad we chose Steve and Michelle's beautiful lake house for our home-base as it served as a perfect place for an awesome family vacation. The farmhouse is both cozy and spacious, and was much more than adequate to accomodate mom, dad, and 7 of our 8 children (ages 6 to 21). We really appreciated the stylishly renovated kitchen and updated bathroom. While the interior of the home was most comfortable and the kids took adavantage of the many inside ameneties in the great room such as DVDs and board games (and Dad used the TV to tune in the dramatic Game 7 of the NBA Finals to see Lebron James and the Cavaliers snatch the crown from Davidson's own Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors), the 5 acres of the exterior grounds kicked this vacation over from "great" to "Awesome!" Our busy schedule had us arriving early Sunday morning in time to witness a spectacular sunrise over the lake, and the location provided gorgeous views throughout the stay. While the brochure from Moss Lake informed us that the average depth of the water is 50' which provides for all varieties of water recreation from water skiing, jet skiing, fishing, etc., the gradual slope from the shoreline was great for swimming, especially with our 6 year olds and 9 year old. There are excellent facilities if you have your own power boat, but as the high-light of many summers for me was canoeing the rivers of Northern Michigan, I was quite satisfied using the canoe that comes with the property. We used the central location of the home to make severarl side trips, such as the hike up Crowders Mountain with reward of the incredible view at th summit, lunch at King's Mountain State Park in nearby South Carolina, the Schiele Museum in Gastonia, lunch at OMB Brewery in Charlotte before picking up our daughter at the airport, Belmont Abbey College, the North Carolina Arboretum near Asheville, downtown Asheville, and the nearby town of Shelby itself. With so much to do we left much undone and we look forward to coming back again, but the best part was probably doing "nothing", relaxing inside the house, on the back porch at night with the Tiki torches lit, and especially kicking back in the lounge chairs on the dock. A great time was had by all!

Perfection!

This was our second stay at LOHITH and it was even better than the last! The furniture has been replaced and the house is stocked with everything you could need. We didn’t see the eagles this time, but there were two deer that hung out in the yard on Wednesday.

Another great stay!

We stayed here in 2022 while in town for a conference and brought the dogs for a little hiking. We always said we’d come back and finally did, for a longer stay this time and got a few days of hiking in at Crowders (great trails and only 20 minutes from the house). We love this place and it’s perfect for the dogs as it’s private and the back yard is secluded. I’m sure we’ll be back! Great house and great hosts.

Wonderful! Fun! Well stocked! Comfortable!!!

Our entire family loved this little piece of heaven! Well stocked; I wanted for nothing! Loved the rope swing kayaks, and fishing. All of the furniture was so comfortable! We hope to go back again someday.

Absolutely perfect

We just spent Thanksgiving week here and had a fabulous time. The house was roomy and comfortable for our family and little dog with everything we needed & so much more. The property & lake view was stunning. It was so beautiful to watch the sunrise in the mornings & stargaze at night. We even saw deer most mornings! We'd love to come back when the temperature is warm enough for the lake activities.

Beautiful Home perfect for families, thoughtful hosts

We loved our stay. We were planning to go to Vancouver- but decided to book this lovely home so we could bring our dog! It was absolutely perfect! The house is well stocked exceptional landscaping a private swimming area with fantastic waterfront dock.

Beautiful property, great hosts

We had a gorgeous week at this property. The lake was lovely and clear, and the boat traffic was low even though the boat launch was nearby. The house itself was wonderfully stocked and the beds were cozy. The hosts had also provided plenty of outdoor equipment for entertainment, it made the stay enjoyable and stress free. I would book with them again without hesitation.
