Experience the beauty of Lake Huron at our Lakefront Cabin at Northern Sands Resort! Relax on the sandy beaches, splash in the shallow waters, or unwind by the evening bonfire under a starlit sky. This charming lakefront cabin offers everything you and your guests need for a memorable vacation. Please note: We are not pet friendly—NO PETS allowed.

The Space:
Northern Sands Resort Cabin Features:
This charming 1 bedroom, 1 bath cabin features a Queen bed and a sleeper sofa, comfortably accommodating up to 4 guests for a relaxing getaway. The kitchenette comes equipped with a refrigerator, stove/oven, and microwave, making meal prep easy.
Start your day with morning coffee or unwind with an evening beverage while taking in the lake views from the picnic table just outside your door.
** Please note: Included in the cleaning fee price is damage waiver coverage in place of a traditional damage deposit so you can have a carefree stay. **

The Neighborhood:
Northern Sands Resort is just a short drive from shops, grocery stores, lounges, and restaurants. Local highlights include Tawas Point Lighthouse, Lumberman’s Monument, and Wurtsmith Air Museum.
Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy a canoe trip down the AuSable River or a round of golf at nearby courses. For added excitement, the Mackinaw City casinos are only a couple of hours away!

Our stay

Centrally located, on Lake Huron, cute property and cottage. Did not like the black flies, but overall nice stay. Would rate 5 star if there was some kind of air conditioning. It was very humid the first day and night.

This was a great place to stay for Labor Day Weekend 2023! We stayed in Cabin #1, which was very clean and well taken care of. The owners of this property have thought of everything to make sure they provide the most comfortable stay for their quests. There is a BBQ grill with utensils, fully stocked kitchen with pots/pans/utensils etc... The beach with a private firepit was also awesome! This property is a must stay!! Thanks Al and Vicki...we hope to stay at your property again very soon!

Clean Little Cabin with Big Lake and Sand

This was the second half of our vacation week. We enjoyed the peaceful sandy shore. the area was easy to get around and find things to see. It was a great place to enjoy Lake Huron. What a beautiful sunrise we saw everyday.

Great Place

This was the perfect place for two for a short weekend getaway. Everything was great - communication, the cleanliness, and obviously the location right on Lake Huron. If you want to watch tv, just know that it is a Roku, and you’ll have to sign in to your own accounts if you want to watch. But when you’re on the lake with a bonfire pit, who’s staying inside the whole time?!

Not very clean

There were mouse droppings all over the pull out bed. The sheets were not even made up so who knows how long. Plus what looked like 2 blood stains on the sheets. Piles I mean piles of mouse droppings all along the walls. I was never offered anything for the inconvenience and 1 person had to sleep in a chair. I will never rent from these people again. The owner was quick to call the cleaning lady. I never received a call back.

Successful Return to Oscoda

We had not been to Oscoda for several years, but it was a treat to return to those sugar sand beaches and casual vacation style. Low cost eating and golfing and recreation abound! Looking forward to a return next year.

Amazing view!

If you are looking for a view this is it! You are right on the water. Al and Vicki are very responsive, and there place is super cute and adorable. You have your own beach and fireplace. Lot's of things to enjoy around the area too!! We will definitely come back.
