Muklaghbeg stuga har fyra sovrum och tre badrum och sover 8 personer.
Stugan är en del av en grupp av 9 stugor ligger utanför en väldigt lugn bakväg som leder längs en mynning till Castlegregory by. Det har varit kärleksfullt och sympatiskt moderniserat för flera år sedan, och är en varm och bekväm fristad där du kan varva ner, koppla av och fly från bullret och stressen i det moderna stadslivet. Med kvalitet inredning hela och ett exceptionellt välfylld kök, det finns fantastisk utsikt över bergen bakom. Mucklaghbeg ligger i sina egna grunder - en stor gräsmatta utanför solstolarna är perfekt för barn, men ligger intill de andra stugorna på egen privat aveny.

Stugan ligger ca 2K från Castlegregory och 26K från Tralee i County Kerry. Stranden ligger bara 5 minuters promenad bort om du korsar stenarna vid lågvatten över floden Owencashla eller ta en slingrande körfält som leder över en bro för att komma till Castlegregory-stranden. Lugnt och fridfullt, detta område i County Kerry vimlar i stora promenader och djurliv spotting möjligheter - Mount Brandon, Irlands näst högsta berg, dominerar utsikten. Golf, fiske och dykning finns också i närheten. Maharees på andra sidan Castlegregory är hem till några av Europas bästa vindsurfing och kitesurfing på Brandon Bay - Irlands längsta gyllene sandstrand - och Sandy Bays säkra tillflyktsort som har en utmärkt barnklubb under sommarmånaderna som erbjuder bananbåt, kajakpaddling , ett hoppborr och havspårstolar - fantastisk njutning för barn! Ta en kör över Irlands högsta bergsväg, Connor Pass, och upptäck hamnen staden Dingle, eller ta en båttur till Blasket öarna för någon tätning spotting, eller ens enstaka whale .... det här är en plats du vill återvända till och om igen.

Spar-snabbköpet i Castlegregory har ett omfattande utbud av mat och dryck, så det går att göra shopping på din tröskel. På kvällarna har de lokala pubarna fantastisk musik och craic, och det finns ett antal utmärkta restauranger där ett vänligt välkomnande alltid är säker.

We had a magnificent stay in Kerry cottages with my family for 5days . Shortly after our arrival we were warmly welcomed by lovely Maria and her husband who care for the property and informed of some of the features of the house and answered any questions we had .The house itself is in a beautiful quiet location, large fabulous garden, where you can get the most incredible view of a sunset in the evening. The house is an easy and very scenic walk to all the shops and restaurants of Castlegregory and a close walk to the beach . The house itself was really gorgeous . Very clean and well appointed. So many thoughtful extras . Really loved the large conservatory. Plenty of room for everyone. The beds were extremely comfortable which is a huge plus for me as I have back issues. Could not fault anything and would definitely come back . Frances

Fantastic weather all week. Great to catch up with the family and meet up with our Irish cousins. Lovely mountain's lakes and beaches. The accommodation was fantastic, in a great location. A holiday we'll never forget!

A truly special cottage in a truly special place.

The cottage is beyond cute and so well cared for. The size for us- a family of 6, was perfect. The fireplace, with our first fire already built and only needing to be lit upon arrival, was a highlight of many. Everything we needed was there. We can't thank Lucy enough for sharing her family cottage with us. Lucy btw was amazing to work with and her property manager Marie was great too! We randomly bumped into her at the local pub and she and her husband were two of many locals we befriended- they are all part what makes Castlegregory a true gem! Of course the cute village, amazing views, and the breathtakingly beautiful beach, a simple 5 minute walk from the cottage, all contribute to making Castlegregory a must see! This was our best family vacation by a landslide!. We took full advantage of its strategic location. It's an easy ride from the Kerry airport and the beautiful harbortown of Dingle is a short drive away- with the option of taking the scenic route via Conor Pass. We quickly learned that for every excursion we took- the journey was as gratifying as the destination. There are no bad ways to get anywhere on the Dingle Penisinula. Around every corner were once in a lifetime views- the pictures and postcards pale in comparion to the pictures we took with our eyes. The Ring of Kerry and all of its wonder are also very accessible from the cottage. I could write a novel on our amazing experience but this is a review so I'll simply end with BOOK IT NOW!

Beautifully located holiday house

The location is perfect being an easy walk from the beach and the town. The wider surroundings boast wonderful scenery and the town is friendly with a variety of pubs and restaurants. The house is a fine holiday house, with a good well-equipped kitchen. If the house is fully occupied it's quite small but cosy at night with the fire lit.

Quaint holiday cottage

The cottage was clean and exactly as described. There was parking for several vehicles, linens for all. The beach was a short walk away. Tralee and Dingle were both a short drive with plenty to see and do. Great stay for the week/weekend with friends or family.

Quaint, quiet, comfortable cottage

Even with a couple of communication hiccups, we loved this place. In the end it all worked out and we would go back in a heartbeat. It was cool in mid-May, but we still managed a swim!

Beautiful Location! Lovely home...

This was my favorite location that we stayed at during our trip to Ireland. The homeowner and home are lovely, but the real beauty of the home is the location. What a peaceful, gorgeous part of Ireland. It was extra special for me because it is my ancestral home. Thanks for a lovely stay. Would definitely recommend!

Delightful holiday cottage

Spent a week in this wonderfully appointed cottage visiting the surrounding Dingle Peninsula by car and enjoying the glorious beaches only a few minutes walk away. I would thoroughly recommend this cottage as it had all the facilities needed for self catering and was clean and very well maintained . 5 star .

Perfect cottage in a wonderful country

We loved to stay here. The house is perfectly eqipped with all stuff you need for a lovely holiday. The location is very good for trips to all places and roads on the Dingle Peninsula as well as to Killarney and the Ring of Kerry. We appreciated the quick and nice conversation with Lucy and her caretaker. Thank you so much!

July stay

We found the cottage to have everything we needed for the family. The kids loved the walk to the water every evening. The garden was a bonus for them to play. It was very quiet which we loved and our little one slept longer than anyone because of the peace and quiet.

Absolutely smashing house Spotless, very well equipped. Shop and beach short distance away. Location probably not best for family with small children as no summer camps for small children nearby . Otherwise lovely spot to stay.

A holiday without flaws

Lucy was very keen to ensure we had 10 enjoyable days. We appreciated the heating in the house, though we felt it could have been turned down somewhat - especially with the weather being rather mild. The house met all our expectations, providing comfortable beds, nice showers, a fully equipped kitchen, and last but not least, all sorts of games and books to pass the time indoors. With the house being situated in an area surrounded by various beaches, we could walk along different coastlines, visit tourist attractions or go to restaurants in reasonable driving distance. All in all we had a fabulous time, even when the sun wasn’t shining.

Inaccurate Posting - No Hot Tub on site

Planned vacation with family and had narrowed down properties for consideration based on which had a hot tub in the amenities. I chose this property based on an inaccurate listing of amenities and was woefully surprised to find no hot tub at check in. I addressed with owner but was told to take it up with VRBO. The error should be corrected for future renters and it did impact our ability to enjoy the days as planned. I shouldn't be burdened with corrections, etc as I was purchasing a service based on a listing that should be correct when i see it. Nice property, but the experience was not as listed. Also, be prepared to purchase firewood and run outside if you need to store anything in a freezer as there is not one in the kitchen.

Very nice

The house was very nice and was just as we expected. Beds were comfortable and everything was clean. Bathrooms nice the Wet room shower was fantastic. It was close enough to be able to venture around ring of Kerry one day and to the cliffs of Moher the other. Both a lot of driving but very do able. Would definitely stay again. The dinning room / sunroom was a major plus we enjoyed breakfast while watching the bunnies in the grass. Couple of small notes would not keep me from staying again at all but just for expectations. The hot water heater is a little strange it makes a loud noise sometime which subsided once you run the cold water in the kitchen. The Beatles jigsaw puzzle was missing several pieces FYI. The bedrooms are very small. they are totally great for sleeping but a little hard when traveling with stuff. The back bedroom with the bathroom has no closet and almost no space for a suitcase or bag. We used the 4th bedroom as a walk-in since we only had 4 adults and 2 kids. All in all our trip to Ireland was excellent and we will fondly remember Castlegregory and our stay there.

Our family live in London, but spend as much time as we can in Kerry - it is a truly fabulous location to get away from life's pressures. We sadly cannot be there all year round, but want to offer others the wonderful opportunities that County Kerry gives - there really is something for everyone. We have 2 boys who have spent their holidays in Kerry since they were tiny - and they still love returning!

Varför värden valde detta boende

It is close to Castlegregory and Tralee, but rural enough to be really peaceful. There are 8 other cottages in our immediate area, but we all co-operate and keep the place very well maintained - grass cut, avenue cared for etc. Rubbish is collected weekly.
