Just lovely

Oka Lodge was simply a lovely peaceful property with very good standard
of everything. Wakefield a lovely wee town and well situated for visiting Abel Tasman and Nelson Lakes National Parks.

A joy to visit

We had a lovely stay and were delighted with the beautiful accommodation and the area, every attention to detail and just a pleasure to stay. We even managed a swim and our hosts were very warm and friendly. Thankyou and look forward to next time!

Best of both worlds

If you are looking for a lovely, modern cottage that is super clean and warm, with a fully-equipped kitchen, comfy beds and lots of outdoor space, in a beautiful setting, then you will find it at Oka Cottage. Elspeth and Don are friendly and relaxed, and perfect hosts. This is a great base for exploring the local region.. and our pooch loved the huge lawn to race around on and play!

Cottage was delightful

Lovely area to stay in, quiet and relaxing but handy to Wakefield, Richmond and Nelson. The cottage was exactly as advertised and we were given a warm welcome and some delicious cookies. Would recommend.

Brilliant location, amazing property

My husband and me plus our dog spent 4 nights at Oka Cottage. The hosts were lovely, very friendly but not imposing. The cottage is lovely and there is a great area for dogs to run and play. Our dog loved it. The area is great. All in all a great, relaxing trip. Would definitely stay again.

A nice peaceful retreat in a well appointed cottage

Had a lovely stay at Oka Cottage set in a peaceful location. Host was very friendly and helpful and we were greeted with a warm welcome note and some delicious treats to start off our stay. Accommodation is modern and well maintained and it has everything you could need to ensure a home away from home experience. We hope to return one day.

5 Star Home away from Home!

I can't say enough about how wonderful this property is. We didn't want to leave and we most definitely will be back! Don and Elspeth the owners are so lovely and obliging. The cottage is simply stunning with lots of lovely touches for example fresh flowers, afternoon tea, beautiful linen, and the grounds are beautiful, we took our two dogs and they had a wonderful time. Also we were allowed to have a swim in their pool which was lovely. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Nearby there was beautiful bush walks that the dogs loved and the nearby town of Wakefield has a brillant four square not to mention the most amazing bakery!

A lovely spot

It is set up to ensure you have a lovely break away. A spacious separate home beautifully laid out and well equipped - right down to afternoon tea being provided! Loved the serenity and how we could take our dogs for a walk and not encounter any danger - well off the roads. Idyllic surroundings!

Lovely location

Was a really lovely 2 bedroom guest house in a beautiful location up the hill with fantastic views when going for walks. Has a great relaxing country feel. The pool was out in front of the main house rather than the guest house so we were a little bit shy to use it but it looked really nice. We really enjoyed the stay thanks very much Dave

Excellent

Fantastic cottage, very clean and very well equipped. Elspeth and Don are amazing hosts very helpful but not at all intrusive. The pool and the well maintained bikes are a huge plus (just beware the hill!)
